Justifying military intervention in Libya, Obama has expressed concern that Gadhafi might “commit atrocities against his own people“. Statements like these make me wonder what the U.S. government might do to its people if we decided to rebel against it. Would the Federal Government simply step aside and say, “we respect the will of the people”?
There is no need to wonder. We need only look back at the War Between the States and General Sherman’s conduct during his infamous “march”. Though it is far too late to do anything about that, it is never too late to apologize for the crimes or memorialize the victims – as has so often been done for black slaves of the same era.
What does Obama have to say about the Federal atrocities at Waco? To the best of my knowledge, justice has never been served for those crimes, much less an apology. Obama is in charge of the same government that committed the above crimes, and many others, against its own people. While I applaud the (hopeful) downfall of Gadhafi, I do not believe that the U.S. government has any moral standing to condemn others in such cases. “People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”

Buy Your Coffee From These Patriots
you have a dead link about General Sherman

Works for me.
Your use of waco and war between the states suggests your target audience is not the small but growing jewish race realist. I commend your hard work on this blog. You are in a unique position to use this forum to speak on behalf of a jewish subgroup that doesn’t exist…Yet. The blog-sphere is full of the waco/war between the states content. Build a strong platform for jews. That’s just my two shekels. Keep up the good work.
Actually I don’t really have a “target audience”. I just put stuff out there for whoever’s interested. It would be nice, though, if more Jews came around.
As long a White “race realists” are obsessed with Jew bashing, few will “come around.”
JAY,
What’s worse is that Obama is mulling putting the architect of Waco, Jamie Gorelick, in charge of the FBI.
That’s horrible, but I’m not surprised.
Did she have a hand in the Ruby Ridge murders, too?
Bob Sykes:
Ruby Ridge happened in 1992, when Bush 41 was still President. That’s lost on most people.
For the longest time, we all thought Janet Reno was the force behind Waco, simply because she was AG, and was called up to all the hearings. After 9/11, when it came out that Assistant AG Jamie Gorelick was the architect of the infamous “wall” between foreign intelligence gathering and domestic law enforcement, it also dribbled out that she was really the driving force behind the Waco invasion, and that was said in the spirit of exposing her hypocrisy.
Gorelick is also the chief defense attorney for the Duke University profs that slandered the Lacrosse players.
Yes, I understand that Qadafi had put up scanners at airport checkpoints which see through people’s clothing. And has paramilitary police kicking in people’s doors at midnight. And has installed surveillance cameras everywhere. And has agents seizing people in foreign countries for torture…
…oh, wait a minute.
