College under fire for anti-anti-white cartoon

Apposing Views reports that a Texas college is under fire for publishing a cartoon, mocking the blatant anti-white bias in the media, in its newspaper:

A college newspaper in Texas is under fire for a cartoon related to the Trayvon Martin case that some find offensive.
The New York Daily News reports that the cartoon appeared in the Daily Texan, the newspaper of the University of Texas at Austin…
The student who drew the cartoon said it was meant to be a commentary on the media coverage of the story.
“I feel the news should be unbiased. And in the retelling of this particular event, I felt that that was not the case,” Stephanie Eisner told the Daily Texan. “My story compared this situation to yellow journalism in the past, where aspects of news stories were blown out of proportion with the intention of selling papers and enticing emotions.”
However she didn’t seem to get her message across and many people found it offensive, especially the use of the word “colored.”
In an editorial, the newspaper’s adviser admitted Martin’s name should have been spelled correctly and perhaps “colored” could have been avoided. But Doug Warren defended the idea behind the cartoon.

Here’s the cartoon in question:

It would appear that some people are offended by the misspelling of “Trayvon” and the use of the term “colored boy”. Therefore I have taken it upon myself to fix it. Here is the new version – which can now be plastered all over the internet, billboards, bumper-stickers and flyers without fear of offending anybody:

To Stephanie Eisner: Great job! I hope you don’t mind my taking liberties with your superb cartoon.

Are the words on the right side purposely cut off?

I understand she’s been dismissed from the paper. Apparently, she committed a “thought crime”.
Also, I’m trying to be discrete… but it’s a really good (and courageous) cartoon that deserves a little name recognition. If you know what I mean.

Good to see someone at University subverting the politically correct media establishment. Well done.

I like the cartoon better with the word “colored,” since it connotes that the media is racist. Which of course they are.

Actually I do too. I was just removing the items the Left cites as objectionable. In reality, they object to being called out for their bias.

        I agree 100%.
Imagine if the cartoon had depicted Zimmerman as a stereotypical redneck with “NRA” written on his jacket, and with him saying “I’m gonna smoke that colored boy, Treyvon or whatever his name is!”
In that case, the Leftists would not have minded at all about the use of the word “colored” for black. Nor would they have objected to the misspelling. They would have nodded their heads in appreciation.

  6. Wait a minute, how come your handwriting is just the same as Eisner’s? Are you like Winona Ryder’s character from Heathers?
    Spooky!

    Thanks for the blog post!
I’ve got a Change.org petition running to get Ms. Eisner reinstated:

If it’s not too much trouble, jewamongyou, do you think you could make a small blog post referring to this petition?
I don’t have Facebook or Twitter personally, so it’s been hard for me to get the word out about this.

Once again, someone fired for telling(in this case drawing/writeing) the truth.
