I was downtown today, scouting around. There’s an area in the heart of the city, near Pioneer Square, where the Apple Store used to be (until it was destroyed by “protesters”). This area is a shrine to the worship of black martyrs. Large murals depict members of the black pantheon, with George Floyd taking center stage. Some of them have halos over their heads. The faithful have left hundreds of offerings on the ground under the Apple Store murals, including many placards with words of devotion written upon them.
Being somewhat spiritual myself, I’ve composed a short prayer for their use, adapted from a Catholic prayer:
O George Floyd, Redeemer and Savior, forgive my whiteness, just as You forgave those who took your precious life.
Gaze not upon my whiteness, but, rather, my tears of repentance. Remember not my racism, but, more especially, my sorrow for the slavery my ancestors inflicted upon the blessed Black Man.
I long to be true to Your Word, and pray that You will love me and return to Earth for your Second Coming, and You will be able to breath.
I promise to give the Black Man praise and glory in love and in service all the days of my life, and especially to You O George Floyd.
I didn’t make it to the Rose Quarter. If I had, I might have seen the would-be “autonomous zone.”
PORTLAND, Ore. — Police moved in on Thursday morning to break up a so-called “autonomous zone” in the Pearl District after protesters set-up camp overnight at Northwest 10th and Glisan.
Portland now has it’s own autonomous zone. @KGWNews #autonomouszone #PortlandProtests pic.twitter.com/Eu4rtnUabW

Around 5:30, police declared a civil disturbance and unlawful assembly. The area of NW 11th to Park Avenue between Irving and Everett Street was closed with residents told to shelter inside. Service on the Portland Streetcar was also affected…
This area is outside the residence of Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. Protesters are calling for him to resign after Wednesday’s budget vote to strip the police bureau of $15 Million in funding.
Actually, it’s unclear to me why protesters are upset with Wheeler – but he’s a worthless mayor. I did see some graffiti today that said “F**K Wheeler.” It’s so nice when the Left eats its own.
