… and I’m back after a long absence. I noticed that people are still subscribing to this blog, even though I haven’t posted in a while. It’s hard to get back into the groove after such a lapse; for my New Year’s resolution: I’ll try to get back into the groove.
I saw an interesting link at the Jewish Alt-Right group:
Right-wing rabbi: ‘Effeminate’ liberals are sexually attracted to ‘the masculine strength and brutality of Islam’
It’s from The Raw Story, and the article states:
Appearing on the Family Research Council’s Washington Watch, a religious scholar who calls himself “America’s Rabbi” claimed that liberals are sexually attracted to the “the masculine strength and brutality of Islam.”
Asked by host Tony Perkins why “the left” favors Islam, Rabbi Daniel Lapin explained there is a sexual dimension to it which, in turn, explains why young women are drawn to terrorist organizations like ISIS.
In audio captured by Right Wing Watch, Lapin began by explaining traditional gender roles, before stating that “There are countless studies showing that feminine-type behavior produces an excess of estrogen in men and vice versa.”
He then explained how “leftism” has feminized America.
“Today, after a 30- or 40-year epidemic of leftism that has swept its sordid stain across America, we’ve become much more feminized and we are attracted to the masculine strength and brutality of Islam,” he said. “This is the girl in the high school being attracted to the bad, tough guy and that’s really what’s happening.”
I think he’s on to something. Most of us these days are “sex-phobic” in that we’re terrified of acknowledging the vast continuum that is human sexuality. We hear nonsense like “Rape has nothing to do with sex; it’s about power!” As if sex can never be about power. It seems to me that sex can be about whatever the individuals involved want it to be about. It’s not as if there can be no overlap between sex and power, or sex and submission, or sex and pain, or sex and affection etc. etc.
People are so terrified of words. If I compliment a female coworker on her outfit, it could be a sexual comment, or maybe not. Absent any other innuendos, I don’t see that it matters. What if I compliment my sister’s outfit? What about calling an under-aged girl “cute?” Petting a dog? Admiring the Venus de Milo? Admitting that another man is handsome? There are probably various degrees of “sexuality” in all of these things, minute as they may be. We’re complex creatures.
So it’s not necessary to claim that a majority of liberals are gay in order to make Rabbi Lapin’s assertion. There probably is a sexual element to the Left’s fascination/adoration of Islam.
But wait! One of the commenters wants to set us straight. He writes:

But we don’t. There’s this idea on the Christian right that we accept Islam more than Christianity. Truth be told, most on the left don’t accept Islam any more, we’re just not as vocal about it and that’s possibly the reason why they think this way.
I’ve tried to explain this to them before and it’s very simple. Muslims aren’t coming to my door on Saturday asking me to join their mosque. Muslims aren’t pestering me at work by saying I’ll go to hell if I don’t become a Muslim. The religious right in this country is not suggesting that we base our laws on the Koran and adopt Sharia law.
No, it’s Christians that are doing these things and for those reasons it’s Christians that we talk about.
It’s not that difficult a concept to understand.
Others gave him thumbs-up and kudos. Personally, I think leftists would look better if they simply admitted an admiration for Islam – because what the above commenter is actually saying is that he’s more concerned about inconveniences and hurt feelings, inflicted upon him by local Christians, than by bombs and beheadings inflicted by Muslims around the world.
Think about it; the commenter is saying that he’s more concerned about Jehovah’s Witnesses knocking on his door than he is about schoolgirls getting raped in England, or revelers being mowed down by trucks in France and Germany. Is he really that naive to think that it will never come to that in America? Has he forgotten 9/11?
Alternatively, people tend to pretend to side with the practitioners of unpredictable, wanton, brutal violence, because they’re begging the wolves to eat them last. For the same reason the modern left just loves Islam, they also hang “Black Lives Matter” signs and sell anti-cop books out of their coffee shop hovels.

People’s motivations are always complex. There is a sexual aspect to recent immigration trends but obviously there’s much more to it than that, on both sides.
As to the comment, people are adept at ignoring data they don’t like, and the cleverer they are the more brilliantly they can do this.
