If you frequent X, you’ll see regular stories about people being arrested in the UK for politically incorrect social media posts. Often, these include actual footage of police in people’s homes telling them why they’re being arrested. For example:
Objecting to Palestinian flags is a “criminal offense,” but calling for Zionists to be killed is perfectly okay:
Journalist Allison Pearson was recently investigated by UK police for a social media post she made a year ago.
A journalist said she was “dumbfounded and upset” when police knocked on her door on Remembrance Sunday and informed her she was being investigated for alleged incitement of racial hatred over a year-old deleted post online.
Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson said she was wearing her dressing gown when she was spoken to by two constables from Essex Police on Sunday morning about a post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.
She said the officers were unable to give her details of the post in question or identify her accuser, which they said was due to laws governing procedure.
Such investigations and arrests have proliferated since the riots over the murder of 3 young girls by an African Muslim. This has caused much outrage among freedom-loving people…
However, American legacy media has remained practically silent about it. A google search for “arrested for social media post UK” yields results only from right-leaning publications, with a couple of exceptions labeled as “fact-check.”
Searches on CNN’s website come up empty. Searches on ABC news website also come up empty. MSN’s home page seems to lack any mention of it.
Why would they ignore this? My interpretation is that the American Establishment Left favors jailing people for politically incorrect speech. They don’t want to admit it. If they were to report on it, they’d have to take a position, so it’s more expedient for them to ignore it.
Legacy media’s lack of coverage is tantamount to an editorial. “We are in favor of what the UK government is doing, and we would do it here if we could.”
One wonders who the officers are that are in on this oppression. Perhaps Britons could find out and start shaming them and campaigning to discourage young men from joining the force or the military there (such process already occurring here).
And if that doesn’t work or the police identities are secret, then more direct action will be required.
