I’ve Joined Bluesky

That’s right, I’m now a member of the wannabe X platform called Bluesky. It seems to be made specifically for leftists or apolitical people who feel that X has become too right-wing.

My mission is to ask simple questions, and to bring up simple points, that challenge the Left narrative. Here’s my first such strike:

I’ll update this post if there are further responses. Let me know in comments if you have more suggestions of topics I should address. I feel it’s important to keep it very tame. One cannot widen the Overton Window from the outside. We must start with concepts that the leftist mind might be able to comprehend.

They’ll probably delete your account before you get any more responses.

Yeah. So far, the only way I can actually see my own posts is if I click on my profile. Otherwise, they seem to be invisible in the feed. I think that some form of shadow banning is built in. When nobody sees my posts, there won’t be reporting or banning – but the result is the same.

I knew the Blueskys back when I was growing up in the Bronx. They were old-line Workmen’s Circle Jewish lefties, and their kids were all red-diaper babies.

Funny. When I first saw “Bluesky,” I actually did pronounce it “Blooski,” figuring it’s a bunch of blue-state commies. Hence the “ski” at the end (Russia/USSR). I still think Blooski is a good name for a denizen of that communist space.
