Super Bowl: Exemplifying "American virtues"

I came across an article* by Jay Ambrose in today’s Columbian newspaper titled “Super Bowl exemplifies some vital American virtues”. I happened to be with a Filipino friend and wondered out loud which virtues Ambrose would list that are specifically American.
The article describes the game thusly:

In fact, I think the whole affair – patriotic prelude, the football game itself, crowd fervor, technological wizardry, an advertising onslaught, the halftime extravaganza and more – speaks to a remarkable American energy, even a certain joyfulness…
And the frivolity did have touches of unifying seriousness, the most moving of which was the wondrous singing of “America the Beautiful” by a chorus of 26 children from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn…
Football… (is) a game of psychological ups and downs that make a difference, of skill and character and, believe it or not, of intellect and must consider strategies, counter-strategies and ingenious tactics…

He goes on to mention the power outage, Beyonce’s performance, the fact that the opposing coaches were brothers. But, as I read each “American virtue,” I said to my Filipino friend, “surely they don’t possess that particular virtue in the Philippines, do they?”  He shocked me by revealing that all these virtues exist in the Philippines as well.  So I wondered if the Filipinos learned patriotism, musical talent, technology and togetherness from the Americans. I became confused trying to fathom how new immigrants, from all corners of the world, magically acquire these virtues upon arrival in America. I marvel at the thought that, had those immigrants ended up in other lands instead, they would have had to make due with whatever second-rate virtues they have in those lands.
I’d always wondered why it is that national governments are so eager to conquer new lands (and hold on to land they’ve already got). Now I know: It’s to spread their virtues. As land falls under their sway, their special virtues are bestowed upon that land. These virtues are then, by some unknown mechanism, transferred to those who live on that land. Amazing!
I almost asked my Filipino friend why his people were so determined to free themselves from American rule. Think of all the virtue they gave up on by pursuing independence. They could have become like Puerto Rico; all its citizens are Americans. As such, they share our virtues.
I feel so fortunate to have been born in the United States of America. Had I been born just a couple hundred miles south, in Mexico, I would have had to cross the Rio Grande to get my virtues.
On second thought, maybe I would have been better off in Mexico. Mexico has the virtue of maintaining its own specific culture while the U.S. has been busy taking a little from here and a little from there, haphazardly mixing them together and hoping for the best. I remember, as a child, concocting my own cereal like that. It was so bad even the dog wouldn’t eat it.

"Future Human Evolution" book review

I just finished reading “Future Human Evolution” by Prof. John Glad. I learned long ago to avoid taking the titles and accomplishments we find on dust jackets too seriously. This is because of the tremendous amount of rubbish we are served by “illustrious professors” with impressive-sounding titles and long lists of books and papers to their names. I’ve learned that a university degree does not bestow its owner with common sense, nor does it cleanse him of hidden agendas such as the defense of dogma or the will to further his career, truth be damned.
But Future Human Evolution has no such agenda, unless one considers battling for the truth, and the preservation of our species an “agenda.” Therefore I’ll quote the dust jacket:

John Glad is a retired professor of Russian studies, having taught at Rutgers University, the University of Chicago, the University of Iowa, and the University of Maryland. He is also the former Director of the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies in the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, in Washington, D.C. A Guggenheim grant recipient, he is the author, editor, or translator of twenty books, some of which have been honored in the American Book Awards. Future Human Evolution is part of his long-standing work on behalf of human rights, in this case of future generations.

And this brings me to a critical concept in eugenics, which Prof. Glad makes perfectly clear in his book: That future generations have rights. This is a point that I myself expounded upon in the first post of this blog, Reflections of a “Racist” Father. We take the view that human society includes not only those who are alive today, but also those who are yet to be born. When we consider how much we owe to the sacrifices of our ancestors, our generation should certainly appreciate this position. As beneficiaries of previous generations, we should be eager to bestow similar benefits upon future generations.
Glad points out that, although there are racial differences (in general terms), eugenics is race-neutral. Whatever traits we wish to promote in one race, we wish to promote in other races as well. All races stand to benefit from eugenics – and all races stand to suffer from dysgenic policies.
One of the most important services Prof. Glad offers us in his book is that he gives historical context to the eugenics movement and exposes the supposed link between Nazism and eugenics as a myth – a myth that has been promoted by certain forces on the left. Nazism had nothing to do with eugenics. On the contrary, Nazi policies were dysgenic to the extreme. Any “eugenic” policies followed by the Nazis were also followed by their enemies in the U.S. and Europe at the time. Glad points out that Hitler’s euthanasia campaign was not eugenic in nature, but rather a crude way to free up hospital beds for the large numbers of expected war casualties. Glad also devotes a chapter to the contributions of Jews to the eugenics movement – a subject to which he later devoted an entire book, Jewish Eugenics.
Prof. Glad explains that, contrary to common belief, the eugenics movement was not an offshoot of a wider discipline of genetics. On the contrary. The science of genetics was an offshoot of eugenics. Not only that, but the eugenics movement has been very much alive and kicking right up to the present time. Several surveys of published books on eugenics, through the years, backs this up.
Perhaps most importantly of all, Prof. Glad offers practical advice as to what eugenic policies we should pursue. For example (pg. 97):

Welfare policies need to be radically reexamined. Rather than simply pay low-IQ women more for each child, financial support should be made dependent on consent to undergo sterilization. Society should put more emphasis on greater tax credits for families with children, nurseries, day-care centers, etc. This would promote fertility among high-IQ women, who otherwise are tempted to either not to have children at all, or to have too few, sacrificing their unborn children before the alter of career advancement. The goals of the feminist movement are in and of themselves legitimate and fair, but wed to the anti-scientific worldview of radical egalitarianism, they will devastate our species.

Glad’s suggestion regarding sterilization of welfare recipients echoes that of Jared Taylor in his book Paved with Good Intentions.
Though Future Human Evolution is available online for free here, it should be noted that this is an abridged (and revised) version of the printed edition.

Jewamongyou is ready for his next exotic adventure

I love to travel whenever I can. I sometimes do so even when I can’t, or rather, when I “shouldn’t.” I’ll be leaving for  a mysterious and interesting land a week from today, and I’ll be gone for a month. Of course I’ll post now and then even while abroad. But I’ll let readers guess where I am based on hints I’ll leave here and there.
If all goes well, I’ll have some interesting stories and photos to share upon my return, when I’ll reveal the destination. To those of y’all who know me personally, don’t spoil it for the others; that’s cheating and you might thereby incur the dreaded curse of jewamongyou.
This is one reason my posts have been sparse recently; I’ve been preparing for my trip. Another reason is just plain laziness or lack of inspiration. Those sort of things come and go according to their own schedule. It’s nothing to worry about. Yet another reason is I’ve been reading “Future Human Evolution” by Prof. John Glad. I may post of review of this short, but valuable, book before my departure.

"How to Convert to Islam"

I was about to watch an innocuous YouTube video about a pet dog when lo and behold, I noticed that the banner ad was promoting conversion to Islam. Here’s a screenshot:
convert to islam
If you had a dog named Thor, and then converted to Islam, would you have to rename it “Allah?”
I couldn’t help but wonder how an ad about “How to Convert to Christianity” would be received in a Muslim country. But we’ll probably never know because such a thing would never be allowed – let alone an ad promoting conversion to Judaism. Muslims easily win first prize for the religion most easily offended. They’re also the religion most likely to riot, murder/maim their daughters and a whole assortment of other, unsavory, things.
Why should you convert to Islam? Perhaps you shouldn’t if you want to keep your dog. Many Muslims consider dogs to be unclean. Some Muslims in Spain have, allegedly, been poisoning dogs (graphics warning) and a Canadian man was arrested for walking his dog on public property in front of Muslims (ibid.).
Why would you convert to Islam? Perhaps you truly believe that God spoke to Mohammad and told him to write the Quran. If so, then you’d probably be more happy in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. I suspect, however, that there are other psychological factors that motivate (white) people to convert to Islam. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that they are tired of being on the losing side of the culture war. That they are sick and tired of being ethnically impotent. That years of being told their race is worthless had finally gotten to them and, unable to change their race, they did the next best thing and attached themselves to a group that actually feels pride in itself, that is willing to use force to advance its interests.
Maybe we should all convert to Islam. We can do to the Quran what they did to the Constitution: Interpret it away until it becomes essentially meaningless. At that point, the Quran would be little more than a historical relic. An empty husk. We would be able to continue enjoying our pets, our alcoholic beverages, our bikini-clad women and our traditional cuisines. But we would also believe in ourselves and people would respect us. Our enemies would fear us just as they did before the Left turned us into whimpering pansies.

String theory for cats

My cat, Menchi, had a theory. She thought it would be a fun idea to swallow a string. Why eat plain old boring cat food when you can slurp up a string? In theory, it would be a lot of fun.
But reality had different ideas. Reality meant vomiting, loss of appetite, increasing weakness and almost death. She was rushed to the animal hospital and I was told that she needed surgery – which would cost at least $3,500 and probably more. With surgery, she would have a good chance of survival. Otherwise, her odds were less than 10%. When I opted out of surgery for financial reasons, they offered immediate euthanasia. I opted out of that too. Less than 10% is still better than 0%. I reckoned I’d give her a shot at life.
The very next day she started improving and now she’s practically back to her old self. I told her, “Menchi, it’s good to have you back – but you’re an idiot for swallowing a string!”
Be careful what you leave laying around if you have pets that don’t fully understand string theory. You could end up coughing up a lot of money. Don’t always take what the vet says at face value. A Jewish sage once said, “This too shall pass.” Indeed.

The global-warming hypocrisy

If you watch this interview by Bill Moyers, you’ll be struck by the apparent sincerity of his guest, Anthony Leiserowitz. The man comes across as very intelligent and open-minded as well. But toward the end of the interview, Leiserowitz makes it abundantly clear that he is in favor of the continued massive immigration from Latin America, and that he sees no problem with a future America that is largely Hispanic.
Is a Hispanic America likely to be more, or less, conscientious about the environment? A quick google  image search of “climate change activist” yields mostly white faces. A 2009 New York Times article states:

National environmental organizations have traditionally drawn their membership from the white and affluent, and have faced criticism for focusing more on protecting resources than protecting people.
But with a black president committed to environmental issues in the White House and a need to achieve broader public support for initiatives like federal legislation to address global warming, many environmentalists say they feel pressure to diversify the movement further, both in membership and at higher levels of leadership.
“Our groups are not as diverse as we’d like, but every one of the major groups has diversity as a top priority,” said Frances Beinecke, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council. “There’s great commitment to making the environmental movement representative of what the country is.”

While there certainly are Mexican environmentalists, concern for the environment appears to be much stronger among whites than among Mexicans. This is apparent to those who have spent time in both the U.S. and Mexico. A Hispanic America is bound to be an America that takes a less active role in protecting the environment. Cultural values do not change overnight.
Furthermore, for all the talk of global-warming and how we must mitigate it, the gorilla in the room is the increase in population. I have written about this elsewhere but the above interview is a perfect illustration of how people who supposedly care about the environment, will simultaneously promote policies that will clearly lead to environmental catastrophe. If not for immigration, the population of the U.S. would remain more or less static. Much has already been written about this. The Alliance for a Sustainable U.S.A. puts it nicely:

In an article of April 6, 2011 entitled “Nonwhite youth population growing in California and nation, report finds“, the Los Angeles Times reported that “nonwhites accounted for all the growth in the youth population from 2000 to 2010”, based on a study authored by William Frey of the Brookings Institution. The same Los Angeles Times article also wrote: “Another finding from the study was that 10 states and 35 metropolitan areas, including California and the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana area, have minority white children populations.”
MSNBC.com reported in its news article of March 24, 2011 titled “New milestone: 1 in 6 in US is Hispanic“:
“Racial and ethnic minorities are expected to make up an unprecedented 90 percent of the total U.S. growth since 2000, due to immigration and higher birth rates for Latinos”. This information was the Census Bureau’s “first set of national-level findings from the 2010 count on race and migration, detailing a decade in which rapid minority growth, aging whites and increased suburbanization were the predominant story lines.”

The article goes on to say:

The California Department of Water Resources has forecast serious water shortages 10 years from now, due to population growth, most of which comes from immigration. Although consumption must be reduced at all levels, continued population growth directly threatens biodiversity and causes species extinction, loss of farmland and open space, and general degradation of environmental quality, including global warming.

It makes about as much sense to oppose global warming and also support continued immigration as it does to oppose AIDS and also promote unprotected sex. Not only does immigration increase the population of the U.S (and other Western countries), it also provides the third-world with  an excuse to ignore its own ticking population bomb; it can offload some of its excess population onto the West. The typical leftist rebuttal to this point is to state that “we all live in the same world.” While this is true, it’s more of a slogan than any sort of meaningful comment. If local communities do not have to suffer the consequences of their own poor choices, they will have no incentive to correct them. It’s also grossly unfair to communities that do all the right things to have to suffer from the overflow of communities that do not.
But it’s not simply a matter of a larger population bringing about more environmental damage. By most accounts, Americans have among the largest per-capita carbon footprints in the world. According to Energy Trends Insider:

The U.S. also has much higher per capita emissions than developing countries and EU countries. In 2008, the U.S. had the 12th highest per capita carbon dioxide emissions, but due to decreases in recent years are probably further down the list of countries now. (See chart in the original article).

Common sense would dictate that environmentalists, such as Leiserowitz, would favor policies that would lead to less Americans, not more of them. And yet he is in favor of ever-increasing population growth in the U.S. One gathers, from the interview, that he has only one child. It’s safe to assume that this child will be raised to care about Mother Earth. If I may be so bold as to be a spokesman for Mother Earth, I would tell him to have at least 5 or 6 more children. Leiserowitz may think he is doing his part to decrease the human burden on Mother Earth by having only one child. In reality, such efforts are futile and pitiful; his “contribution” is more than offset by the millions of migrants pouring across the border and by their tax-subsidized children. Leiserowitz speaks fondly of the fragile ecosystems in the Rockies. How will they fare when the U.S. population reaches half a billion and more?
Leiserowitz is concerned about the many Americans who don’t take “climate-change” seriously. I think he should address this issue by first seeing to it that people like us take him seriously. It’s hard to do so when he blatantly contradicts himself.

Affirmative action: The gift that keeps giving

I was reading a news article about a questionable dental procedure on a child. Among the comments was this:

This is frightening; when my daughter was 6 she had two teeth out due a playground injury, and had to attend a dental clinic for the op. When we were called in after the op we found our daughter slumped on a chair with blood still coming from her mouth. When asked when she would come round…..in a couple of hours was the reply. She was a mess….she vomited in reception; in the car and again back home. Slept for a whole day whilst I was by her side. Spent 3 days off school as she was so ill. She took a while to function and get back to normal. My doctor was in agreement that she had been ‘over-dosed’.
Turned out later the anaesthetist: John Evans-Appiah was removed from the surgery after the death of a 10 year old boy (see John Evans-Appiah, Peffermill Surgery, Edinburgh). It appears that Evans-Appiah did not have the qualifications required.
My daughter is know 22 and faired well; attended Uni and graduated with honours….although having Dyslexia. Over the years, since this incident, I have often thought this might have contributed to her Dyslexia? Perhaps I’m wrong – I would welcome a more educated theory.

As soon as I read that, I thought, “I wonder if this is a case of affirmative action/diversity in action.” Sure enough, here’s an official account of what happened back then:

An anaesthetist working in Britain could be banned from practice this month if found guilty of charges of serious professional misconduct over incidents in which a 10 year old boy died during a tooth extraction and a patient undergoing a caesarean section writhed in pain because she was not fully anaesthetised.

The General Medical Council in London was this week hearing evidence in the case of John Evans-Appiah, who came to Britain from Ghana in 1973 after qualifying in Ukraine.

Dr Evans-Appiah, from Leyton, east London, has had 42 jobs since his arrival in Britain. In 1993 he was dismissed from Falkirk Royal Infirmary for temporarily paralysing a patient by giving her the wrong drugs.

In 1998, when the two incidents that gave rise to the GMC charges occurred, he was travelling around Britain working for locum agencies.

In October 1998 he was asked to anaesthetise Darren Denholm, aged 10, who was having a tooth extracted at the Peffermill dental clinic in Edinburgh. Darren had a cardiac arrest. An ambulance arrived, but he could not be revived.

Three weeks later Dr Evans-Appiah was the anaesthetist at Hazel Woolgar’s caesarean section at Maidstone Hospital in Kent. He gave the go-ahead for surgery even though Mrs Woolgar, aged 31, who was having an epidural, said that she could feel cold gel on her abdomen, indicating she was not properly anaesthetised.

Rebecca Poulet QC told the GMC’s professional conduct committee that his failure to anaesthetise Mrs Woolgar caused her to “writhe and scream” with pain.

Dr Evans-Appiah, aged 58, faces 18 charges of serious professional misconduct in relation to the two incidents. In Darren Denholm’s case, he is accused of faking records to hide his mistake, misleading the subsequent investigation, and trying to persuade the dental nurse and the dentist to say, untruthfully, that blood pressure readings had been taken…

appiah
While we can’t know for sure whether an anesthesia overdose can cause dyslexia, it does appear that it can have long-term consequences:

Studies in 2003 show that drugs used in general anesthesia kill brain cells in developing rats and mice. Though these studies require follow-up with human populations, some have theorized that the dangers of anesthesia used in children may be greater than previously estimated. One might not only risk death but also interference in brain development, and perhaps long term memory issues or learning disabilities.

Medical schools would do almost anything to get more black graduates. Hospitals would do almost anything to have more black professionals. Patients should do almost anything to avoid putting themselves in harm’s way by allowing a black physician, or a black anesthesiologist, to treat them or their children. If you already know him as a skilled and trustworthy professional, then obviously his race doesn’t make him any less so. But thanks to political correctness, affirmative action and racial quotas, many questionable blacks have been hired into positions they should never have been considered for. I’ve seen it myself.

Django Unchained should be illegal

I have not seen Django Unchained; I refuse to support the movie industry with my hard-earned money. But I did read a review of it at American Renaissance. Some excerpts:

In a December 8 appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” the lead actor, Jamie Foxx, explained what the movie is about:

It’s good to be black. Black is the new white. In my new movie, I play a slave. How black is that? I have to wear chains. How whack is that? I get free. I save my wife, and I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that? And how black is that?”

The crowd erupted in laughter, whooping, and applause…
One reviewer, Richard Corliss of Time, mentions Django’s reply when Schultz ask him to be his partner: “Kill white folks and they pay you for it? What’s not to like?” Mr. Corliss calls this “a tantalizing question.” Let us imagine a movie by Mel Gibson, say, in which someone is offered money to assassinate leftwing media types. Would he still think “What’s not to like?” was a “a tantalizing question?” Or would he wail in print about the murderous hatreds of the American Right?…
… As Steve Sailor has noted, a black posted a comment about the movie:

While whites are busy getting offended on our behalf, they miss completely why we are going to see this film. It’s a black man killing white people in masses. I will pay to see that every time.
I’ve seen this film 3 times so far and am going again Saturday night. It’s an awesome movie.

“Awesome” is another way of saying “inspiring.”
Twitchy.com, which tracks twitter messages, found this sort of thing:
“After watching Django, all I wanna do is shoot white people.”
“Still hype off Django. I’m gonna kill some white people today.”
“Django got me wanting to kill white people!”
“Django made me wanna kill so many white people.”

Reading this review, I could not help but be reminded of another article at American Renaissance, about the movie Machete, where we read:

In Hollywood’s latest anti-White film, the hero is a blood-thirsty illegal alien of Latino ethnicity who slaughters white people with a myriad of weapons. White people are presented as the “bad guys.” Even the trailer of the film {snip} begins with the militant Latino telling the viewers that he has a “special message” for the people of Arizona, who valiantly stood up for Western Culture and state sovereignty vis-à-vis a recent law that prescribed penalties for those who aid in the invasion of our country.

Both movies should be illegal, and all those involved with their production should be prosecuted for inciting violence. A defense that the movies are “works of fiction” should be countered with the fact that they are actually thinly veiled messages that are relevant to contemporary America. The messages are: White people are evil and you are justified in killing them as cruelly as possible.
I realize that this form of incitement is a legal grey area, and I’m certain that there will be a comment or two explaining why there can be no prosecution in such cases. But how does our society view such works as The Turner Diaries? It has been described as having incited actual acts of terrorism and crime. You will not find it at your public library. In contrast, you probably will find Machete at your public library. No doubt, Django Unchained will also be available there in a couple of years. A description of The Turner Diaries, at Amazon, reads:

At 9:02 am on Wednesday April 19, 1995, two tons of explosives ripped apart the federal office building in Oklahoma City and the psyche of America. The worst case of domestic terrorism in our history, this explosion killed 169 men, women, and children. The author of this book has written, If [this book] had been available to the general public . . . the Oklahoma bombing would not have come as such a surprise. It has been considered by the Justice Department and other government agencies as the bible of right-wing militia groups, and the FBI believes it provided the blueprint for the Oklahoma City bombing. Barricade Books has published it so America can better understand the cause of racism and extremism.

In other words, it is for educational purposes only. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if ordering it online will get your name added to a government watch list. For sheer psychological impact, a novel cannot come close to the power of a professionally-made movie. If The Turner Diaries was responsible for hundreds of deaths, movies such as Django Unchained and Machete are responsible for thousands. These movies are far more harmful than novels such as The Turner Diaries for another reason: They add fuel to a fire that is already there. Even before the release of these movies, blacks and Mexicans had been murdering whites at unprecedented rates. They build on an anti-white establishment that already used the full force of public schools, the federal government, “higher education” and corporate America (in other words, anybody with power) to promote the idea that whites are evil and “people of color” are good. The movies serve as effective means of reinforcing the hatred of whites that is pounded into our skulls from cradle to grave.
The Turner Diaries is the equivalent of giving a normal, healthy, man a gun and telling him to shoot his neighbors. Django Unchained and Machete are the equivalent of giving the gun to a deranged man, who is already enraged at his neighbors, and telling him to shoot them. Which scenario is more dangerous? It’s true that some readers of The Turner Diaries are already deranged, angry, individuals. But they represent a miniscule number of people when compared to the seething masses of hateful, vengeful, blacks and Mexicans. White violence against blacks and Mexicans is a rare aberration. Black and Mexican violence against whites is a way of life. The last thing we need is to encourage it even more.

RIP my grandmother

Our beloved matriarch just passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 96 years old. She lived a blessed life except for declining health in her final years. When I think of how things have changed over her lifetime, it’s truly astounding.
When she was born, the U.S. had just entered WWI, Russia was in the throes of revolution, Charlie Chaplin was at the height of his career, the suffragists was protesting for women’s voting rights and the Balfour Declaration was issued. My grandmother lived through interesting times and yet she managed to pass through it all unscathed. She was untouched by the great flue epidemic of 1918, she was hardly affected by the Great Depression and, though she spent her childhood in Chicago, she remembered nothing of the mobs. She did remember Prohibition and the speakeasies. She remembered the early (electric) cars and attending silent films.
My grandmother married young and enjoyed a wonderful marriage. She only had one husband and, after his passing, claimed she saw a new star in the sky. I suppose now there are two, twinkling side by side.

Jewish Eugenics by John Glad

I came across “Jewish Eugenics” by John Glad at a used bookstore. Needless to say, I bought it and have been reading it. So far, I’m very impressed. Glad is a race-realist and takes a brutally honest approach to every issue he addresses. The book is a treasure trove of knowledge and ideas.
At the beginning of the book, Glad tells us (pg. 7):

In 1979, co-chairing a department at the University of Maryland in College Park, I was summoned by the Dean and asked in a tone that must have been familiar to victims of the Inquisition about my opinions on race.

Sadly, he writes elsewhere (pgs. 28,29):

… making Jews forerunners in the more and more global game of panmixia. Russia’s greatest poet Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) was part African, as is the president of the United States even as I write these lines. One can with justice regret the loss of diversity, but it is senseless to resist the inevitable – illustrated by 60,000 Ethiopian Jews in Israel. Even without this latest infusion, genetic tests have shown that the present Jewish population would appear to have a total Negro admixture of the order of five to ten percent. The distinctions between races are inexorably being erased. As the popular phrase runs, ‘Deal with it.’

I find this fatalism rather odd coming from a eugenicist. Eugenicists are supposed to believe in taking a more proactive role in our destiny. Furthermore, Glad fails to point out that what we have here is not so much an eradication of race, but rather a march toward blackness around the world. Globalism has created a situation where the least successful societies propagate themselves by creating large quantities of spores (AKA “refugees”) to replicate themselves elsewhere. It’s “Survival of the most dysfunctional.” Eugenicists should be demanding a reversal of this trend.
On a more positive note, his explanation of the link between Lamarckism and racial equalitariasm is worth quoting. He writes (pg. 59):

Jean-Baptiste Lamarck (1744-1829) had posited that environmental factors created heritable characteristics. Applied to the Jews, habits viewed as negative were explained as having their origins in ghetto life but were considered curable within an altered environment, with new characteristics transmitted to future generations. Thus, while not all Lamarckians were Jewish and not all anti-Lamarckians were gentiles, the divide separating these two camps clearly lay along these fault lines. When Lamarckism was decisively overturned by science, the Jewish fall-back position was to assert that biological variance in humans was trivial and that ‘nurture’ trumped ‘nature’ – hands down.
The ‘nature/nurture’ controversy (an 1874 coinage of Galton’s) had been presented to the public as a strawman intended to discredit the hereditarians. In point of fact, while there is indeed still a good deal of uncertainty as to the relative importance of the one factor relative to the other, absolute denial of any role to environment is a position that was never espoused by anyone. By contrast, the absolute nurture model was and is still popularly presented to the general public as the only correct paradigm, denouncing even moderately hereditarian views as ‘racist,’ ‘classist,’ ‘sexist,’ or ‘misogynist.’
The Soviet Union was the great bastion of Lamarckian ideology. The Jewish-American geneticist Herman J. Miller, who was doing research in the U.S.S.R., thought he could reverse this line of thought and wrote Stalin a letter suggesting the creation of a eugenic state. Muller barely escaped the U.S.S.R. with his life.

He goes on to recount the huge death toll, on both sides of the Lamarckian debate, from Stalin’s subsequent purges. When we refer to racial equalitarians as “Marxists,” we may be more right than many of us realized. Thought-control and authoritarianism are the only ways to maintain the illusion that “race is but a social construct.” Today’s corporate-controlled media in the U.S. and Western Europe are direct descendants of the Soviet Pravda.
As I read more of this book, I’ll post more about it. There’s too much material to cover in one review.
