Work Sets You Free

In years past, I’ve seen some hateful signs among leftist counter-protesters here in Portland. Sadly, I can’t find them now, but they were explicitly anti-white and communist. I will include one I’ve posted before:

It wasn’t considered “newsworthy” by any corporate new agency. Many people died, and many were tortured under the Hammer and Sickle. The Hammer and Sickle should be right up there, with the swastika, on the list of “hate-symbols.” The fact that nobody seemed to be bothered by it, and nobody rushed to erase it, makes it even more egregious.

But when one person chose to carry tasteless sign, during an anti-lockdown protest in Chicago, Business Insider considered it newsworthy, and so did Yahoo News (which reposted the Business Insider article), Buzzfeed and (not surprisingly) the Israeli site Haaretz.

Associated Press reports that another, similar, report was actually a hoax:

CLAIM: Pittsburgh protester waves sign stating Nazi slogan “Work Sets You Free.”

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. The image has been manipulated. The original photo posted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on April 20 shows the protester holding a sign stating, “Free small business!” Although Nazi slogans were, in fact, used at a separate protest in Illinois on Friday.

THE FACTS: Several Twitter users posted the altered image along with photos of entrances to Nazi concentration and death camps where iron gates bear the words “Arbeit Macht Frei” or “Work Sets You Free.” One tweet featuring the fabricated image was posted on May 1 and had over 600 retweets.

As for the, apparently, legitimate image from Chicago, we can see how willing some people are to extrapolate from one individual’s poor taste to an entire demographic:

This was one of the signs at the “Re-open Illinois” event today. She assured those that she was not a Nazi, and stated, “I have Jewish friends.” Thank you for representing yourself and your “movement” for what it is.

That’s a stretch. I don’t know if the sign-carrier is a neo-Nazi, a left-wing infiltrator, a “differently-abled” mental case or simply ignorant. I do know that some left-wingers pounced on the incident with glee. It’s extremely doubtful that this sign represents the sentiments of most anti-lockdown protesters.

At some point in the future, she’ll be identified, and she’ll probably be unemployed for a while. Since the above “news-outlets” used her image for clicks, and made money from it, perhaps she should get a portion of the proceeds; she can use the money to hire a therapist.

Hindu self-determination in India

It’s a known fact that India’s Muslim population is growing faster than its Hindu population. According to Pew Research:

Muslims are expected to grow faster than Hindus because they have the youngest median age and the highest fertility rates among major religious groups in India. In 2010, the median age of Indian Muslims was 22, compared with 26 for Hindus and 28 for Christians. Likewise, Muslim women have an average of 3.2 children per woman, compared with 2.5 for Hindus and 2.3 for Christians.

The article goes on to say that Hindus will remain a majority there until well past 2050, when Hindus will still be about three-fourths of the population. What the article neglects to mention (and it goes without saying) is that if these trends continue, eventually, India will be majority Muslim.

Another factor is that according to Islam, Muslim men may not marry Hindu women unless they convert. There is no such law in Hinduism. Some Hindus are aware of the implications of such an imbalance. From a BBC article:

The decision by an Indian court in May to annul the marriage of a Hindu woman who converted to Islam and married a Muslim man has grabbed headlines in the country, with many referring to it as a strike against “love jihad”.

The term was popularised by radical Hindu fringe groups, who accuse Muslim men of participating in a “conspiracy to turn Hindu women from their religion by seducing them”.

Marriages between Hindus and Muslims have long attracted censure in conservative Indian families, but the attachment of a deeper, sinister motive to them is a recent phenomenon.

I think “Love Jihad” is an appropriate name for this phenomenon. One needn’t be a sociologist to appreciate that such a disparity between two religions will bring about a ratcheting up of Muslim converts, and an attrition of the Hindu population. It might take decades, or even centuries, to tip the demographic scales, but it will happen. Those “radical Hindu fringe groups” are right.

The government of India has a responsibility to encourage birthrates among Hindus, and it has a responsibility to discourage marriages between Hindu women and Muslim men.

I don’t think there’s a “democratic” or “progressive” way to accomplish this. In an open and free society, men and women marry whomsoever they please, and having children is their own personal choice.

Unfortunately, failing to take such measures will lead to a Muslim-majority India. It will be the new “East Pakistan.” In the long run, women’s rights will suffer even more in that scenario. It’s not possible to stem the tide of Islam without “playing dirty,” since Islam does the same. There is no solution that will satisfy the requirements of “human rights.”

Both Islam and Hinduism have their flaws, and this post is not a defense of Hinduism as a religion. It’s to recognize that Indian Hindus have a right to self-determination. I hope that over time they become more civilized, and I don’t think that a transformation into a majority-Muslim India will serve that end.

The hypocrisy of Rachel Chang

In a recent article in hellogiggles.com, Rachel Chang complains about racism against Asians while, at the same time, displaying her own bias against whites.

On March 2nd, I went to Costco. News that coronavirus (COVID-19) could hit the U.S. the same way it had devastated China in January was just starting to spread, so I figured I might as well take my annual shopping trip to the warehouse in Clifton, New Jersey, to stock up. With toilet paper and paper towels in my cart, I walked toward the front of the store, passing by a product representative hawking samples. “Stay away from my face!” she said sternly. I looked around. Was she talking to me? There was another Asian woman in front of me. When I turned back toward her, I couldn’t even make eye contact with the product representative—she was holding a box in front of her face, shielding herself from us.

Whether this was directed at me or the woman ahead of me—or both of us—I didn’t know, but I shrugged it off. After all, comments reflecting anti-Asian sentiment like this have long been a part of my life: I was born in Chicago and raised in California by Taiwanese immigrants.

Sometimes these incidents are just a passing comment—or the pressing question, “No, where are you really from?” Other times they’re harsher, like when a non-Asian stranger incessantly shouted at me, “Ni hao ma?” trying to get a chuckle out of me, or when a neighbor asked how I could see through my “small eye slits.” “But really, how do you see?” he insisted. There was even the time I was told the only reason I landed a magazine editor job was because I was Asian and someone got a diversity hiring bonus.

Whatever form discrimination against Asian Americans takes, it’s been on the rise in recent weeks. We are seeing more violent and extreme instances of discrimination stemming from unfounded fears that those who are any kind of Asian are more likely to carry coronavirus since it originated in Wuhan, China.For example, there was the spraying of Febreze on an Asian man on the New York City subway ,the stabbing of a two-year-old Asian American girl and her family at a Texas Sam’s Club, and the punching of a 55-year-old New Jersey Asian woman by a young girl during quarantine…

As of April 15th, there were 1,497 reports of discrimination against Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) across 45 states and Washington, D.C., on the Stop AAPI Hate site, a reporting center launched on March 19th by the Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council, Chinese for Affirmative Action, and the San Francisco Asian American Studies department. The incidents include being denied services and being verbally abused, shunned, coughed and spat upon, and physically hurt, among others. Specifics include a 71-year-old Asian man who was chased out of a California convenience store…

…an Asian family in Oahu who was coughed on by a car full of strangers, and an Asian victim who was told by a Bakersfield child that they caused the child’s father’s death. Even from the safety of their homes, 40 Asians experienced hacking on their Zoom calls, with a perpetrator saying, “All y’all have coronavirus, every single one of you.”

Of all the specific incidents listed above, not a single one is known to have been perpetrated by a white person. All of the ones we know about were perpetrated by blacks or Hispanics, and yet Chang makes no mention of their race. The only time she mentions the race of a perpetrator is in the case of…

Chang goes on to explicitly blame whites, when she writes:

“The racist myth that Asians host and disseminate disease and illness conveniently conceals the nation’s practice of white supremacy and its exclusion of some immigrants,” Storti adds.

Had Chang lived in 1930s Germany, no doubt, she would have blamed “The Jews.” Mindlessly latching on to the scapegoat du jour, Chang comes across as lazy and reckless. Her article is just as much a hit-piece against whites as a defense of Asians. No, Mrs. Chang, “white supremacy” is not to blame for blacks and Hispanics attacking Asians. It’s probably not even to blame for WHITES attacking Asians; white people can be jerks without being white-supremacists.

But it’s not enough to ignore the crimes of blacks and Hispanics against Asians. Chang feels obliged to look to blacks for solutions:

“… She suggests “thinking creatively” about more effective ways to report incidents and learning from Black community organizers “who have built alternative models of safety, support, and healing.”…

Already, a new campaign launched on April 27th called All Americans, which joins together marginalized communities in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic by uniting Asians facing racist attacks and Black and Latinx communities disproportionately affected by the disease, in terms of economic struggles and lives lost.

A primary source for this article is the The Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council, which lists “Notable Incidents from Last Week.” The Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council, while ignoring the problem of black-on-Asian crime, at least points out that a couple of the perpetrators were black. It does the same, of course, for white perpetrators – leaving an overall impression that blacks and whites are about equally likely to attack Asians. I’m pretty sure this is not the case. The site goes on to give us a several sets of statistics. None of them address the ethnicities of the perpetrators.

Is anti-Asian racism that bad? I don’t think so. After all, there is an “Asian American Studies department,” an “Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council”, and a “Chinese for Affirmative Action” organization, as mentioned earlier. There are no such organizations, that have any official recognition, for white Americans.

Primitive thinking around the world

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos. Some of them are quite educational. I’ll share two of them with y’all today.

The first one is a Vice documentary about an excursion into Congo in search of a rare strain of marijuana. The businessmen (Franco Loja and Arjan Roskam) , who travel the world in search of such  varieties, pay bribes to access the fields. They gain permission from each local chief prior to collecting samples. Once acquired, the real work begins. The samples must be transported back home and grown in special conditions. Several fields of expertise come into play. In the end, if he’s lucky, these businessmen can make millions of dollars.

Here’s what happens when the local Congolese find out how much money the visitors stand to make:

In another video, a documentary about the fate of a coffee plantation in Papua New Guinea after tribal war, we see a similar attitude from the natives. After buying a lease on the land, and working hard to establish his plantation, the natives (who sold him the land) became bitter that the owner was making more money than they were:

It’s a recurring theme around the world: Entrepreneurs work hard, or use their creativity and initiative, to establish successful businesses – only to have the natives rise against them out of jealousy. We saw this in 1992 Los Angeles and in 2015 Baltimore.

Since it’s “racist” to criticize such attitudes among certain demographics, the masses are psychologically forced to justify such attitudes, eventually incorporating them into their own world-view. It doesn’t take much effort to align the “gibs-me-dat” attitudes of angry natives to socialism and communism. Many Bernie supporters would feel at home among the warring New Guineans, the angry Congolese, or the rioting blacks of Los Angeles and Baltimore.

On a lighter note, as stated, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos – and many of them are excellent enough to share on this blog. I’ve been thinking about embedding my favorites, one by one, at the end of each post. Any objections?

Notes on Yemenite Hebrew

You would expect that a person like me would attract more hate, on Quora, for my political views. This is not necessarily so; some of my fellow Jews have attacked me for my default use of Yemenite Hebrew (that is to say, transliterations based upon Yemenite Hebrew) in that forum. I’ve posted most of this on Quora, but I thought it would be nice to post it here too. To all you goyim out there, y’all can just ignore this post and any followups.

I left Israel long ago. In a sense, it’s sad that I couldn’t find my place there. On the other hand, it’s good – because I am now divorced from Israeli “Hebrew.” Their Pidgin garglings hold no currency with me, hence I use the far more pristine, and beautiful, Yemenite Hebrew as my default – with some minor adaptations, as necessary for English readers.

Somebody on Quora even went so far as to accuse me of being a fake Jew, because he thought my transliterations were gleaned from English sources. He’s not alone in his ignorance. Even when I lived in Israel, many years ago, I had debates with young Yemenites about their traditional Hebrew. I was always right, because I had taken the time to speak to the elders, ask questions and pay attention.

I was criticized for referring to the Hebrew letter מ as “mim.” Most Jews now refer to it as “mem.” The following images are taken from a Hebrew primer, used to teach children in the traditional Yemenite way. As for the mim:

Another person told me that my understanding of the semi-vowel shewa (אְ) is wrong. He wanted me to learn from an Ashkenazic grammarian. That’s laughable. No thanks; I’ll trust Yemenite grammar over them. The shewa takes 3 forms:

  1. By default, it’s pronounced as a “fleeting fatah.” That is to say, it has about half the force of a regular fatah.
  2. When it comes before a guttural letter (אחהע), it takes on half the value of the vowel   that’s attached to that letter
  3. When it comes before the letter yod, it has a fleeting hiraq

It should be noted that Yemenite Hebrew does not recognize the existence of a shewa nah. Traditionally, this (non-existent vowel) was simply left out. The only shewa that was written was the shewa na’.

Any shewa that begins a syllable is pronounced. Any shewa that follows a long vowel is pronounced, unless it’s at the end of a word. The long vowels are: QameS, Hiraq maleh, Holam, and Shuraq maleh (אָ אִי אוֹ אוּ).

Welcoming Nautilus to the fold

If you’re not familiar with the Nautilus science website, here’s some information from Wikipedia:

Nautilus is an online and print science magazine that “combines the sciences, culture and philosophy into a single story.”[1] It publishes one “issue” on a selected topic each month on its website, releasing one “chapter” each Thursday.[2] Issue topics have included human uniqueness, time, uncertainty, genius, mergers & acquisitions, and feedback.[3] Nautilus also publishes a print edition six times a year,[4] and a daily blog called Facts So Romantic.[5] It makes regular use of original commissioned illustration to accompany its stories. In 2014, the magazine won a Webby Award for best science website[10] and was nominated for two others;[11][12] had two stories selected to be included in 2014 edition of The Best American Science and Nature Writing;[13] won a FOLIO award for Best Standalone Digital Consumer Magazine; and was nominated for two Webby Awards.

In other words, it’s a fairly reputable publication.

Too bad it’s racist. Yes, you heard me right. Nautilus is a neo-Nazi, Alt-Right, bigoted, prejudiced, white-supremacist, KKK-loving hate-group that peddles pseudo-science. Oh, and they probably want to murder 6 millions Jews.

You see, their views on race are… problematic. Take a look at this excerpt from an article titled “Why Are You So Smart? Thank Mom and Your Difficult Birth.”

A lot of our growth in intelligence is due to an increase in brain size. Even when looking at the differences between one person and another, brain size accounts for 16 percent of the variance in intelligence. A bigger brain might have been the simplest way to make us smarter. As brain sizes grew, so did the pelvises of the women who had to give birth to all of these big-headed babies.

The link takes us to Scientific American. Unfortunately, that article is behind a paywall – but it’s obvious that Scientific American is also a neo-Nazi, Alt-Right, bigoted, prejudiced, white-supremacist, KKK-loving hate-group that peddles pseudo-science and probably wants to murder 6 millions Jews.

Yes, that Scientific American article is behind a paywall, but another Scientific American article, which is not, somewhat downplays the correlation between brain size and intelligence. It’s a fine line they must walk, but Scientific American is not off the hook – because it does seem to recognize the validity of IQ tests, and how their results correlate with real life trends:

Differences in general intelligence, assessed in this way, correlate with success in life, with social mobility and job performance, with health and with life span. In a study of one million Swedish men, an increase in IQ by one standard deviation, a measure of variability, was associated with an amazing 32 percent reduction in mortality.

I’ve shown, in previous posts, that there are racial differences in brain size (speaking of averages, of course). To avoid sounding like a broken record, I’ll add a new tidbit here:

American blacks suffer disproportionately from Alzheimer’s. Articles, such as the one in USA Today, list a few possible underlying causes – including genetics. Intuitively, one would think that larger brains would be less susceptible to diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Indeed, this is the subject of a research paper titled “The protective role of brain size in Alzheimer disease.”

The brain reserve hypothesis suggests that larger brain size is associated with a greater ability to tolerate pathological damage before showing any cognitive decline. This theory has been used to explain why many patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology are cognitively normal before death. The literature concerning the brain reserve hypothesis is however mixed with evidence both for and against this theory. Perneczky and colleagues tested the theory by assessing whether premorbid brain size, measured using head circumference, alters the relationship between brain atrophy and cognitive decline in 270 AD patients. They found that head circumference was associated with a reduced impact of atrophy on cognitive performance. Hence, for a given degree of atrophy, cognitive performance was better in patients with larger head circumference. These findings therefore support the brain reserve hypothesis. This evaluation will discuss the brain reserve concept and potential limitations and significance of this study.

One needn’t have a large brain to put two and two together:

* There is a correlation between biological race (not “social-construct race”) and brain size

* There is a correlation between brain size and intelligence

* There is a (probable) correlation between Alzheimer’s and brain size

* There is a correlation between race and Alzheimer’s

I’ll conclude by saying that I don’t want anybody, black, white or otherwise, to get Alzheimer’s; it’s a terrible disease.

Amazon Whole Foods Docs: Workforce Diversity Helps Prevent Unions

A notification from Richard Spencer led me to this article from Information Liberation:

Leaked internal documents from Amazon-owned Whole Foods reveal the company rates their stores using a “diversity index” and determined the threat of unionization is “higher” at stores with “lower diversity.”

From Business Insider, “Amazon-owned Whole Foods is quietly tracking its employees with a heat map tool that ranks which stores are most at risk of unionizing”:

Whole Foods is keeping an eye on stores at risk of unionizing through an interactive heat map, according to five people with knowledge of the matter and internal documents viewed by Business Insider.

The heat map is powered by an elaborate scoring system, which assigns a rating to each of Whole Foods’ 510 stores based on the likelihood that their employees might form or join a union.

The stores’ individual risk scores are calculated from more than two dozen metrics, including employee “loyalty,” turnover, and racial diversity […]

Store-risk metrics include average store compensation, average total store sales, and a “diversity index” that represents the racial and ethnic diversity of every store. Stores at higher risk of unionizing have lower diversity and lower employee compensation, as well as higher total store sales and higher rates of workers’ compensation claims, according to the documents.

This should give you a clue as to why our Woke Capitalist rulers are so eager to preach the mantra of “diversity.”

It’s not to my credit that I’ve neglected Information Liberation in my daily reading; it appears to be a solid site. There’s not much I can add to the excerpt above – except to point out that the Wikipedia article titled “Criticism of Amazon” doesn’t tell us which way the causation works:

Two years later, it was found that Whole Foods was using a heat map to track which stores had the highest levels of pro-union sentiment. Factors including racial diversity, proximity to other unions, poverty levels in the surrounding community and calls to the National Labor Relations Board were named as contributors to “unionization risk”

We’re left guessing whether MORE diversity leads to a higher risk of unionization, or LESS diversity. All we’re told is that it’s a “factor.”

The source of the Information Liberation article is Business Insider, a notorious left-wing rag I’ve written about before. The Business Insider article is hidden behind a paywall.

Computer Weekly (whose source is also Business Insider), like Wikipedia, gives us no clue as to how the correlation between diversity and unionization works:

These “risk scores” are calculated from over two dozen metrics – including employee “loyalty”, turnover, racial diversity, “tipline” calls to human resources and proximity to a union office – and shows the likelihood of employees in that location forming or joining a union.

It seems obvious to me that leftist sources are intentionally obfuscating the link between diversity and disunity among workers. It wasn’t that long ago that the left’s rallying cry was: Workers of the World, UNITE!

Let’s be honest here. The “leftist” elites are not leftists at all; they’re oligarchs. The true leftists who follow them are fools.

The Old Confederate Flag Canard

Conservatism Inc. strikes again, this time in the guise of Rich Lowry, writing for the National Review.

Of course, the proximate cause of the protests this time is the coronavirus lockdowns rather than Obamacare, although the feel of the demonstrations — expressing populist anger at government overreach — is the same, and so is the reaction of the critics.

The line of attack is the familiar one of using a few isolated idiots or kooks to tar the entire enterprise. To this end, if there’s one thing Democrats (and the media) want you to know about the anti-lockdown protest at the Michigan state capitol in Lansing last week, it’s that people were flying Confederate flags.

“What happened yesterday was inexcusable,” Representative Debbie Dingell (D., Mich.) said. “People did not have masks. They didn’t have gloves. They did not distance themselves. They had Confederate flags, swastikas.”

Governor Gretchen Whitmer scolded, “When people are flying the Confederate flag and untold numbers who gassed up on the way here or grabbed a bite on the way home — we know that this rally endangered people.”

The idea that they “had swastikas,” as Dingell said, is meant to mislead. A few protesters, in particular a widely photographed woman with a “Heil Witmer” (sic) sign, used swastikas to depict the governor as a fascist (obviously, a ridiculously over-the-top charge), not to identify themselves as Nazis.

You can watch long stretches of footage of the protests and see only a panorama of American flags…

Near the beginning, the Detroit Free Press video does show one Confederate flag, a man with the Stars-and-Bars emblazoned with a rifle and the words “come and get it.” That’s it. One idiot.

Lowry is right that the corporate media will pick out the most offensive symbol it can find, out of a sea of non-offensive symbols, in order to smear those it disapproves of. We’ve seen this many times in the past. The corporate media is far more circumspect when it comes to protesters from the left.

Incidentally, I predict that if the US economy is not restarted soon, there will be as many protesters from the left as there are from the right. Hunger and desperation trump all.

Was the man with a Confederate flag an idiot? I think it’s too harsh to judge him based on that. After all, I’ve been known to fly the Confederate flag – and NOBODY considers me an idiot!

But there’s a difference. I was flying the Confederate flag to make a specific point regarding freedom of speech and the Confederate flag. It was just after the anti-South hysteria that followed the Dylan Roof shooting. It bothered me that Southern heritage was under attack, and that our freedom of speech was also under attack. I felt I had to make a statement.

Perhaps, for the man in question, the Battle Flag symbolizes freedom – which is being taken away by our government, and this was his way of rebelling against such tyranny. I wouldn’t call him an idiot for that line of thinking.

Still, I think it’s important to compartmentalize our causes to the best of our ability. It would be wise to tailor our image, at any given event, as specifically as possible – assuming that our goal is to appeal to those on the fence.

For example, if we’re on the streets protesting against leftist violence, then we probably shouldn’t fly the Confederate flag at that event; it carries other baggage, and will only serve to alienate people from the primary message we’re trying to convey: Stop leftist violence.

If we’re protesting for a white homeland, it’s probably not a good idea to promote eugenics at the same time. It’s true that for many people eugenics is important – but this is not the appropriate time. Focus on the point you want to communicate, not on presenting a smorgasbord of causes – because doing so will only alienate potential allies.

I doubt that this is the reason Rich Lowry objected to the Confederate flag; He’s made it clear elsewhere that he finds it distasteful because…

The Confederate army fought for an odious cause.

This is a perfect example of Conservatism Inc. thinking, which is indistinguishable from leftist thinking. Perhaps this would be a good time to share an interview with a former Confederate soldier; he says he DID NOT fight for slavery (at 13:02), so who are we going to believe, the Confederate soldier, or Rich Lowry?

“Vulnerable” Latinos hit hard by Corona

With all the hoopla over blacks being disproportionately victimized by the CCPVirus, it was inevitable that Hispanics would also be so affected. Both populations suffer “disproportionately” from almost everything.

USA Today reports:

SAN FRANCISCO – In a city where 16% of the population is Latino, physician Alicia Fernandez is alarmed by the overwhelming number of Latino patients she is seeing at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.

Fernandez blames the high cost of housing in the Bay Area, which finds many impoverished Latinos crowded into small apartments. “Sometimes it’s big families, but others it’s just a group of adults trying to make ends meet,” she says. “It makes it so hard to isolate and quarantine folks.”…

In New York, a grim tally tells the tale: Latinos make up 29% of the population but are 39% of those who have succumbed to COVID-19, the respiratory illness causes by the virus…

Latinos across the U.S. are ill-prepared for their battle against the coronavirus, a crisis that threatens to leave many in this already vulnerable population sick and destitute, according to a new report. Because of a combination of factors – including working in low-paying front-line jobs and a lack of savings and health insurance – Latinos are shouldering a disproportionate burden of the pandemic…

Various reports have shown African Americans make up a disproportionate percentage of COVID-19 deaths given the virus is particularly merciless to those with lung conditions, which plague black Americans in far greater numbers than white Americans. Black workers are also highly represented in the transportation and food supply sectors, which remain open.

First I’ll address the excerpt about blacks. “Black workers are also highly represented in the transportation (sector).”

Indeed they are. As a matter of fact, I’ve written about this before. Why are blacks so “highly represented” in the transportation sector? It’s because of Affirmative Action. If you read my linked post about Miami bus drivers, you may wonder if I ever did hear back from the Miami-Dade Transit Authority. They never got back to me. It seems obvious that the reason blacks dominate government jobs in big cities is black privilege. In other words, they demanded it, they had the political clout to get it, practiced nepotism to that end, and achieved dominance in such sectors – all with the blessings of the Corporate Media. And now that same media has the gall to cry INJUSTICE when those Affirmative Action jobs lead to higher rates of infection!

But back to Hispanics. If you read the USA Today article, you’ll notice that there is no mention of any link between the high infection rates among Latinos, and their voluntary behavior. A few posts ago, I quoted a Yahoo comment regarding this, which was made well before anybody reported on higher rates of infection among Latinos. I’ll quote it again:

In the neighborhood where I live social distancing is strictly enforced in all the stores and neighbors will call you out if they see you acting otherwise on the street. About the only people who really treat it seriously in the impoverished neighborhood are the asians, white people take more precautions then most but not as seriously as the asians, black folks are mostly indifferent and still congregating in groups and get close to you and each other, and the Hispanics ignore all the rules and show up with all their children some of them coughing all over the store and in your face and the parents let them do it without so much as a word of rebuke.

Rushton’s fall from grace

One difference between seekers-of-truth, and those who do not seek truth, is that seekers-of-truth do not worship flesh and blood. If you claim that Martin Luther King was immoral and dishonest, you will be shouted down, and possibly physically attacked. At best, you’ll be told that his accomplishments far outweigh his flaws, and that we should continue to revere him for this reason.

I, and many of my readers, like to count ourselves among seekers-of-truth. We don’t worship flesh and blood, and we don’t worship the late Phillipe Rushton. For many years, I admired him, and his book “Race, Evolution and Behavior” was among the first race-realist tomes that I read. I did meet Dr. Rushton once at an American Renaissance conference. He didn’t come across as overly friendly, but I felt honored to meet him.

A friend recently introduced me to Dr. Edward Dutton, AKA “The Jolly Heretic”, who has a presence both on YouTube and on Bitchute. Please take half an hour and watch this video:

Here is a link to Dr. Dutton’s book, “J. Phillipe Rushton: A Life History Perspective.” I have not read it, partly because I didn’t know about it until recently, and partly because I tend to value ideas over people, at least when it comes to reading books.

Dr. Dutton describes Rushton’s theories as “revolutionary,” but I think many people thought along those lines long before “Race, Evolution and Behavior” was published. The main gist of the theory is intuitive to open-minded people who have also experienced the real world.

Some of the video’s criticisms are observations that the Asian/white/black continuum of behavior doesn’t always hold up to scrutiny. For example, we find that Asians are LEAST likely to adopt (supposedly linked to altruism), blacks are LEAST likely to go bald (linked to testosterone levels) and oral sex is most popular among whites, not Asians (oral sex being, supposedly, linked to K-strategy reproduction). In all objections of this type, I’ll point out that we don’t live in that sort of linear world, where everything neatly fits into place along racial lines. Evolution/genetics doesn’t explain everything. History and culture also play a role. Race/genetics typically provides only a general tendency – a tendency that will be followed in the absence of other, countervailing, forces.

In my view, the most damning accusations in the video are those that illustrate Dr. Rushton’s dishonesty. The most disturbing of all are those where he lied when there was absolutely no reason to lie. Few would blame Dr. Rushton for not being descended from famous inventors, or for his grandparents’ indiscretions. To ignore Native Americans, and Aborigines, in favor of the more simplistic “3 races” model of humanity seems like laziness. If Native American behavior and test scores yield mixed results, a simple “needs more research” would be the correct reaction.

If Dr. Rushton really did have an affair with a married woman, or beat one of his wives, then he has lost my respect on both counts – but this wouldn’t detract from his scholarly research, even if his love-child is half black. I wouldn’t even call him a hypocrite for it, since he never presented himself as a reverend or a preacher. We can’t expect our scholars to be saints.

Rushton lived his life, and he is gone. I don’t mourn for him. I do mourn for the good research that he may have performed, or collected. Because of his (alleged) actions, ALL of his research is now in doubt – at least until it can be independently corroborated. Unfortunately for us, the political climate will not allow for research into racial cognitive/behavioral differences to be done. For the time being all we can do is sift through the research that has already been done, and try to salvage the wheat from the chaff.

I believe that it’s healthier for us to confront Dr. Rushton’s legacy, and naughtiness, head on, rather than wait for our enemies to use it against us.
