The gay pride parade in Portland

A buddy of mine called me and said, “Let’s go to the Thai parade Sunday.” I thought, “Oh cool! A Thai parade. There will be Thai dancers in exotic costumes, interesting music and food. Count me in!”
Except that my sense of hearing must be getting dull with age. He said “gay pride parade,” not “Thai parade.” So this is how I ended up at Portland’s gay pride parade, just as a spectator mind you.
Practically every corporation known to man had a presence at the parade. All sorts of banks, retail chains, schools and private organizations were represented. The mayor and his wife were there – along with tens of thousands of people, all cheering for love, tolerance, inclusion and gays.
Can an abomination and a denomination coexist? See for yourself:

Here’s the mayor and his wife:

There was no dissent. Nobody dared question the gay lifestyle, or the appropriateness of declaring one’s pride in what, arguably, should be a private matter. As men in leather had mock sex in the street, thousands of Portlanders cheered them on.
So it struck me as rather odd that a prevailing theme in the parade was that gays are persecuted. That they are marginalized in today’s society. Many wore buttons and t-shirts that said “legalize gay.” Seriously?
A young man approached me to sign a petition. He was outraged that, in some states, it’s legal to fire somebody for being homosexual. I told him it should be legal. That a private company should be allowed to hire, or fire, people as it sees fit and for any reason. That discrimination is perfectly acceptable. I told him that consumers would punish companies that made bad hiring decisions. I definitely got him thinking; he looked confused after that encounter.
Noticeably absent from the parade were Muslim groups of any kind. I didn’t see anybody holding signs that read “Allah loves gays too” or “Shiites for marriage equality.” Hmm… Must have been an oversight.

Concerned citizens paint their own crosswalks

According to Opposing Views, a group of concerned citizens in Tacoma, Washington, are taking pedestrian safety into their own hands.

A frustrated group of citizens in Tacoma, Wash., is putting down “rogue crosswalks” as concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety have intensified. Now the city says it plans to prosecute anyone caught making a rogue crosswalk.
The group, Citizens for a Safer Tacoma, has painted five rogue crosswalks and said it will break the law if that means saving lives. The group said at least 15 members have been hit by cars. When they asked the city for help, the anonymous group members said they were turned away.
Back in May, the group painted a crosswalk at a large intersection on St. Helens Avenue overnight. Just two weeks later, the city had workers grind the crosswalk out of the pavement.
While the city said it wants to address concerns about crosswalks, the holdup comes down to money. The city spends up to $1,000 to remove the illegal crosswalks and it would have cost the city about $1,000 to put a legal crosswalk there itself.
Businesses in the area said the vigilante crosswalk painters are demonstrating the frustration everyone feels with the city.

One of the hallmarks of a civilized society is that pedestrians have rights that automobile operators are expected to honor. In a third-world country, such as India or most of the Middle East, drivers have the right of way (in practice if not officially) and pedestrians are expected to fend for themselves.
Israel is a third-world country – at least it was when I was living there. Pedestrians had no rights whatsoever; either they learned to move out of the way quickly or they ended up dead.
One problem I took issue with was the Israeli habit of parking on sidewalks. As the father of small children, it incensed me to think how my kids would be required to walk around those cars, into the dangerous street, to reach their destination. It especially angered me that some of them blocked the sidewalks my daughter needed to use in order to get to school. I used various methods to express my disapproval.
I always carried large white stickers with me. They said “The sidewalk is for pedestrians.” I would stick them on the offender’s windshield directly in his field of view. This would be most effective during the hot summer months when the sun would bake the stickers, and melt the glue onto the glass. I relished the thought of those drivers spending time scraping them off. One large truck, which used to regularly be parked directly in front of my daughter’s school, disappeared after a few treatments. In his case, the iron grates in front of his windshield (for blocking Palestinian rocks) must have made it especially difficult to remove the stickers.
Sometimes I would keep on walking, dirty shoes and all, right over those cars. I would literally walk on top of the cars, leaving my tread marks on the hood and roof.
There was one stretch of sidewalk, also on the way to my daughter’s school, that was particularly wide. Across the street from it was a construction site. Numerous drivers would use that area as a parking lot. They would park diagonally, so that pedestrians had no choice but to walk into the street in order to pass. I would visit during the wee hours of the night and carry large rocks, from the construction site, over to the sidewalk. I would place them alongside the curb so that they formed a barrier. Anybody wishing to park in that area would have to first leave his car and remove some of the rocks so that he could get his car through.
Some drivers did just that. Upon inspection during the day, I would find rocks moved to the side and the cars parked as before. My response was to return the rocks to their rightful place – right on top of the cars. Yes, the drivers would return to find large rocks on top of their cars.
Each night I would repeat this ritual, using larger and larger stones. This went on for a month or two. One day, when I was walking by, I noticed that my rocks were all gone – but in their place was a metal fence, obviously placed there by the municipality. My message had been taken to heart and others had joined my cause.
God must have been with me through all this; not once was I accosted by an angry driver. Not once was I physically confronted or threatened.

Dutch football player kicked to death

A Dutch football player has been kicked to death by Moroccan football players. According to Reuters:

A Dutch court found six teenage footballers and a player’s father guilty on Monday of beating an amateur linesman to death, an incident that shocked the nation and prompted soul-searching over soccer violence and race.
Linesman Richard Nieuwenhuizen, 41, was attacked by the soccer players – mostly of Moroccan origin – while he was officiating at an under-17 match at Almere, near Amsterdam.
Nieuwenhuizen was kicked repeatedly by the youth players, who were 15 and 16 years old at the time, and the adult who had been on the sidelines. He collapsed hours after the match and was taken to hospital where he went into a coma and died the following day…

I’m pretty sure the Dutch suffer ongoing abuse and assaults from foreigners every day. This incident attracted some publicity because the victim was a soccer player. While in Amsterdam I witnessed black Africans showing off their white girls to each other as if they’re chattel. It was disgusting – but such behavior doesn’t make it to the news except in rare cases.
“Soul-searching over… race?” I doubt it. “Soul-searching over soccer?” Yes, this is what will happen. The press will focus on violence in sports, hooligans, drunkenness etc. But don’t expect to see much soul-searching over race, unless it’s to focus on the rare instances where native Europeans victimize foreigners.

University of Washington to require diversity course for graduation

The Seattle Times recently reported:

Saying it has an obligation to prepare students for a more global society, the University of Washington will require undergrads to complete a course in some area of diversity — economic, cultural or political — before they can graduate.
The new policy, initiated by a group of mostly minority students, followed three failed attempts over the past 22 years to introduce changes meant to ensure that all graduating students know a little more about other cultures and people who differ from them than they did when they first arrived.

It’s sad when an official cult spreads its tentacles around the globe, eating up precious resources and ruining lives in the process. But it’s even more sad when young people buy into the propaganda and become pawns for the rich and powerful.
Not that I feel sorry for the “mostly minority students” who spearheaded the drive to require diversity training for graduation at their university. It’s a feather in their hats that they’re sure to profit from for decades. Call me naive, but I can’t help feeling that some of them, maybe most, actually believe they’re doing a good turn for the world. But within their lifetimes, “diversity training” will mean little more than an official cry of “Can’t we all just get along?” This cry will likely fall on deaf ears as a multitude of interest groups, ethnic, racial and religious, vie for their share of an ever-shrinking pie.
If we all were to suddenly get along, it would not bode well for the top diversicrats who pull the strings. It would be bad news for organizations such as the SPLC or the ADL. Their livelihoods depend on manufactured “hate.” They thrive on fear and their witch hunts for “racists”, “homophobes” or “Islamophobes” never cease. “Diversity” is an industry and, just like big tobacco (allegedly) or McDonalds, it feeds on our impressionable young.
When a young person first gets tangled up in the lies of the diversity cult, he is a victim. But as he grows older, in ever darker shades of an evil continuum, he becomes a perpetrator. As in the movie The Body Snatchers, innocent people are transformed into soulless aliens.
I love children. I take great pleasure in their innocent laughter and play. It pains me to ponder them being reduced to little more than units of production to be fed into the insatiable maw of the diversity industry.

A nice video about black flash theft

The Washington Times has an article/video about a “non-flash mob.”
They say “Don’t call it a flash mob.” But whether it’s a mob or theft, it’s bad news when large numbers of “youth” get together. Make sure to watch the video. Those “people” are dangerous vermin.

OKC memorial

In a somewhat seedy section of Oklahoma City, near the bus station, stand the Oklahoma City Memorial and museum. The Alfred P. Murrah building, according to Wikipedia

… contained regional offices for the Social Security Administration, the United States Secret Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (A.T.F.). The building also contained recruiting offices for both the Army and the Marine Corps. It housed approximately 550 employees.

My attitude, as I wandered the $29,000,000 complex, was that all those 550 employees were, to one extent or another, criminals. I felt bad for the children, less so for the adults who had chosen to work for the abomination we call the “Federal government.”
Here are some photos I snapped while there.

The night after my return home I was awakened by a vivid nightmare. I was in a room inside a building when a terrible explosion was heard. The building shook violently and I felt myself falling. Death was imminent.
I’m not one to give much credence to dreams, though I have had some foretell the future. If nothing else, they can serve as windows into our own subconscious.  They sometimes tell us things we already know on a deeper level. In this case, I already knew that I tend to judge people too harshly.
The federal workers who died on that fateful day were, at least many of them, involved in the destruction of lives. They were participating in the persecution of millions. But for a lot of them, what they were doing was only a job. They didn’t know any better. Perhaps, partly due to the actions of the same government they worked for, they lacked good alternatives. Some of them were young and didn’t have the opportunity to educate themselves.
Of course all the above could also be said of enemy soldiers in a war. Many soldiers are killed who do not deserve to die. If we’re not at war with the federal government, we certainly should be; all of us live under its heavy yoke. The question is, how to wage war against it most effectively. Blowing up buildings doesn’t seem to work. Voting doesn’t work. Apathy and inaction toward it might be the best solution. It’s probably the only course of action that the masses could truly support.

White men need not apply

I saw this sign at the airport in Dallas.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

They made sure to depict two black men, oddly enough without a white woman beside either one. Instead, they placed her between two Hispanics. In the racially conscious world we now inhabit, a sign such as this sends a clear message: White men need not apply.

Looting in Oklahoma

According to Wikipedia, Moore, Oklahoma is over 84% white. Yet there have been reports of looting there following last week’s devastating tornadoes. Are we witnessing the transformation of whites into unprincipled savages?
I’m sure that some of the looters were white, but I just got back from Oklahoma. I spoke with a friend of mine, who is in the National Guard and helped with security in the disaster zone. He told me that many, if not most, of the looters were from out of state. Mexicans were noticeably overrepresented.
“How low can you go?” I asked him. Normal people, when they hear of a disaster far away, would like to travel there so they can help. What can we say about people who travel to such places in order to loot and God knows what else? It makes me want to cut off some hands. To go Sharia on them.
I got back from Oklahoma last night at 11:30 PM and had to get up at 5:00 AM for work. After a long shift, I had to do some shopping. Approaching the checkout counters, my tired mind made a wrong decision: Instead of getting behind the white woman with dozens of items, I got behind a Mexican woman with only one item. Sure enough, her husband and child reunited with her and added more items after I had already placed my items on the counter. Then she proceeded to separate them – one group for her EBT card and the other for cash. On top of this, she didn’t know how to use the card scanner and had to be shown by the cashier. The white woman’s line had already advanced to 2 or 3 people behind her by the time my turn came up. She, and her family, are probably in this country illegally. They’re using my money to support themselves and some of their cousins may be in Oklahoma looting. I thought about this and didn’t feel very “enriched.”

Les Miserables

These last few weeks I’ve been traveling around the country visiting various family members. That’s the main reason I haven’t been posting. But last night I watched the movie “Les Miserables” with my daughter. I think the movie deserves a brief review on this blog even though it’s a few years old.
The first thing that got my attention was the Universal Studios introductory graphic depicting the Earth at night. Compare it to an actual photo of Earth at night. Did they remove some lights from Europe and place them in the otherwise almost completely dark Africa? If so, why? My daughter thinks it was only to make the image more appealing. I told her that Hollywood doesn’t deserve any benefit of a doubt; their intention was probably to make Africa look more civilized, even from space.
Along the same lines, even though the setting was in early 19th century France, the producers thought it necessary to include black faces among the miserable prisoners in the beginning scene, and among the revolutionaries toward the end. Granted, blacks were not unknown in Europe at the time, but must they inject their diversity mania even into a historically based epic such as this?
Les Miserables promotes some dangerous ideas. The underlying theme is that anybody can be redeemed from a life of crime and become a saint. It implies that we must not be too harsh with criminals, rather we should treat them rather than punish them. It uses the priest to show us that if only we drown criminals with loving kindness, they’ll turn a new leaf and become assets to our society. Sometimes this turns out to be true, but many lives have been lost or ruined because people failed to recognize a sociopath. There’s a time for kindness and healing and there’s a time for severe punishment and caution. Les Miserables focuses only on the former. A society that coddles its criminals will end up being swallowed up by them.
As for the movie’s notion that love at first sight will lead to a lasting life of marital bliss, we can only hope few take it seriously. I suppose it’s alright in the context of a romantic tale… maybe I’m being too analytical here.
Overall I thought it was wonderfully made and I’ll give it credit for breaking with some of Hollywood’s more annoying habits. It portrays Christians in a positive light. Though it’s debatable whether Christianity has been good, overall, for Western civilization, it’s refreshing to see it not being demonized on screen. The acting was superb, but I guess that goes without saying.

Entire country of Liberia to relocate to Washington State

Emmanuel and Oretha Roberts, blind refugees from Liberia, are conducting a singing campaign in order to have their loved ones join them from Liberia. A headline from The Columbian reads “Survivors sing to help others escape.” The article, describing the horrors the Roberts had endured in Liberia, concludes:

“America is a good place, a wonderful country,” said Emmanuel, who took the test and the oath and became an American citizen last year. What he likes best about it, he said, are the programs and services for disabled and blind people like himself. It’s a humane government that provides such opportunities — as well as food for the poor, he added. Emmanuel is hoping to become a radio broadcaster, he said, so he can continue sending the gospel of hope out to listeners who don’t need sight to get the picture.

Yes, America is a good place – and Liberia is a shitty place. So why not help all those unfortunate Liberians escape that shitty place and come here. There are just shy of 4 million people in Liberia and the state of Washington is considerably larger. It can easily accommodate those extra people. Also, since Liberia is practically 100% African American, it would bring much needed diversity to the State of Washington. With a fertility rate of about 5 children per woman, it wouldn’t be long before the State of Washington was 100% diverse.
Yes, the State of Washington can now look forward to a rosy future. As for the people of Liberia, they will no longer have to deal with the shortcomings of their homeland. They will no longer have to endure beaches covered with human waste, rampant AIDS and drug use, out of control crime, cannibalism or torture – because they’ll all be Americans.

They took the test and the oath – and they’re smiling, so what could possibly go wrong?
