The Homeland Bad English Administration

It seems the Homeland Security Administration has outsourced its signage operations to China. At least that’s the impression I got yesterday while driving along the Oregon coast with some friends. One of us wanted to stop for coffee, so we pulled into an espresso booth next to a gas station. Across from the booth, I noticed the following abomination:
bad English
I’ll go ahead and transcribe the wording here, in case you thought your eyes were deceiving you or the glare makes it hard to see:

Land Mgt. & Fire Skills to end loss via terrorist spawned coordinated wildfire Attacks & extreme fire storms, that suppression agencies evacuate  from.

When it comes to butchery of the English language, have the terrorists already won? Have there actually been any “terrorist spawned coordinated wildfires?” If terrorists wished to start such fires, would we realistically be able to stop them? Is it necessary to have a grade-school diploma in order to write signs for Homeland Security?
How many grammatical errors can you find in the above sentence?

Packs of "young people" cause chaos in Hollywood

It seems those raceless, colorless, “youths” are at it again. This time they chose to bring their enrichment to Hollywood. According to the Afro-centric rag, USA Today:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Packs of young people rampaged through Hollywood, knocked down people and stole cellphones and other items before a police sweep halted the marauding and arrested a dozen people, police said Wednesday.
Calls began coming in at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday that youths were robbing people and stealing T-shirts and other goods from businesses, mainly on Hollywood Boulevard, Lt. Ray Valois said.
Fifteen to 20 young men and women were “attacking victims and taking property,” he said. “Some people may have been knocked down or punched.”
However, no serious injuries were reported.
As many as 40 people may have been involved, splitting into smaller groups and reforming as they looted people nearby, Valois said.
Surveillance video aired on television showed youths roaming along the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It’s about time I say. Let them loot Hollywood. Let them tear it up, burn it down and make its denizens live in fear. I know it won’t happen, but we can at least hope that some of those loathsome producers (yes, the ones who worship blacks and hate whites) get beaten to a pulp in the process. I would pay to see those producers, bandaged and bleeding, being pushed around in wheelchairs, producing movies featuring groups of feral youth rampaging through once-civilized cities. In those movies, the rioters would all be white – and they’d be beating up innocent black people. And then, after a hard day’s work producing propaganda, they would venture out and get thrown off their wheelchairs by some more raceless, colorless, “young people”. But it’s okay, because those acts will not be hatecrimes. Rather, they’ll be “random” acts of violence. Or perhaps they’ll be crimes of “boredom.” Because everybody knows that when blacks commit crime, they’re raceless and colorless. They don’t riot. They “protest.” They don’t spread STD’s. They “suffer” from them. They’re victims of homicide and domestic violence, but they’re not perpetrators. They endure racism from whites, but they themselves are colorblind. This is what Hollywood would have us believe.
So let us invite those Trayvons back to Hollywood for some more fun and merriment. I’ll even pay for their bus tickets.

My advice to George Zimmerman

Now that George Zimmerman’s criminal trial is over, and he has been found not-guilty, he will discover that his woes have only just begun. There is already clamoring, from the usual sources, for the Department of Justice (sic) to pursue civil charges against him.

The NAACP, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and other civil rights activists are calling on the U.S. Department of Justice and Attorney Gen. Eric Holder to press federal civil rights charges against George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watchman who was acquitted by a Sanford, Fla., jury Saturday in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
“The most fundamental of civil rights — the right to life — was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin,” NAACP President Ben Jealous wrote in a letter to Holder shortly after the verdict was announced. “We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation. Please address the travesties of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin by acting today.”

These so-called “civil rights” organizations carry a lot of clout. They have practically limitless resources at their disposal and they have no interest in the rights of white men, even white men who are actually “Hispanic whites” such as Zimmerman. But even if the federal government does not follow the example set in 1992, by prosecuting the officers with civil rights violations, Zimmerman will still be forced into hiding. Too many people are calling for his head. The media, including facebook (thank you Human Stupidity), have been inciting such violence from the start. When the major media outlets, and the federal government, want somebody dead, that person has reason to worry. It wouldn’t surprise me if Obama sent a drone against him – in the interests of “national security” of course.
Zimmerman already has roots in Peru; his mother is from there. He would probably be happier there, and a whole lot safer.

19 dead firefighters

It appears that all 19 of the firefighters, who died recently in an Arizona blaze, were white men. Given the aggressive push to get more women and non-whites into fire departments, we might have expected somebody to complain that there should be more faces of color among the dead. Yet, to the best of my knowledge, nobody is so complaining.
Had there been a recruitment billboard for Arizona firefighters featuring those who died on that fateful June day, we would never hear the end of how “racist” and “bigoted” that billboard is. There would be demands for the resignation of whoever designed or authorized it. The billboard would be held up as evidence of how backward and narrow minded Arizona is. We would be reminded that this is the state that tried to enforce our border with Mexico and make life difficult for those who enter illegally.
But this is not a recruitment billboard. It’s an image of 19 white men who  tragically lost their lives. A google search for “dead firefighters” and “white” yields results that mention the “White House” and the “white van” that took away the bodies. Nobody seems to pay attention, or care, that all the victims were white. Diversity is the national religion of America, but its followers show apathy when there is no diversity among the dead. It wouldn’t surprise me if certain Afro-centric, and Latino, groups are privately rejoicing. For them, the white man is a demon, and no amount of heroism can erase the sin of his white skin.
Mother nature was to blame for those 19 deaths, but the silence surrounding the race of the victims shows a certain measure of acquiescence. Had they been 19 black men, they would have been doubly mourned: Once for having died as young heroes, and again for having died as black men. Blacks would have mourned the loss of their young black men, and whites would have joined in.
Incidentally, when people die in a conflagration, it’s called a “holocaust”.

Humans can't transcend bullshit

While perusing Mangan’s blog recently, I followed his link to an article titled “Is Wine Bullshit?” In the article, Alex Mayyasi illustrates what many of us already know: That much of what we think we know about wine is smoke and mirrors. That even the so-called experts are often fooled by such tricks as coloring white wine red. He writes:

A Lafite Rothschild Bordeaux sells for a minimum of around $500 a bottle, while humble brands like Charles Shaw and Franzia sell for as little as $2. But as far as “wine economists” are concerned, the level of correlation between the price of a bottle of wine and its quality is low or nonexistent. In a number of damning studies, they suggest that wine is not just poorly priced, but that the different tastes we describe in wine may all be in our heads.
A 2008 paper in The Journal of Wine Economics, for example, found that when consumers are unaware of a wine’s price, they “on average enjoy more expensive wines slightly less [than cheap ones].” Experts do not fare much better. The study could not conclude that experts preferred more expensive wine: “In sum, we find a non-negative relationship between price and overall rating for experts. Due to the poor statistical significance of the price coefficient for experts, it remains an open question whether this coefficient is in fact positive.”
In another experiment, critics tasted one red wine and one white wine. They described the red in language typical of reds and the white in language typical of whites. The problem? Both were identical white wines; the “red” had been tinted with food coloring.

I’ll admit it. I drink cheap wine. There are literally hundreds of different types of wine, available in various markets, for under $10 a bottle. My cheese is typically more expensive than my wine.
But Mayyasi points out an important fact at the end of his article:

But what these studies really tell us is that our idea of taste as a constant, even if appreciated in subjectively different ways, is a fiction. Due to the complicated way that we experience taste – as an amalgamation of information from all 5 senses, our expectations, and how we think about what we are tasting – taste is easily manipulated.
Our enjoyment of good food is just as susceptible to trickery. Food dye can trick us into tasting a flavor like lemon or cheddar that is not actually present. Fish markets, restaurants, and sushi joints present less expensive fish as their more prestigious (and supposedly better tasting) peers unnoticed every day. This past year, Europeans happily ate up meatballs containing horsemeat, only expressing outrage when regulators revealed its presence.
Since a $5 wine can so easily be mistaken for a $50 wine, we encourage you to unabashedly reach for wine on the bottom shelf. We’ve applied this principle, often a bit self-righteously. But it should also give you pause about everything you eat and drink. If you boycott expensive wine, should you also avoid sushi and seafood restaurants because you know that cheap fish can be just as enjoyable? Embrace fast food chains’ practice of diluting the quality of their meat? If wine is bullshit, then isn’t everything else we eat and drink bullshit too?

No doubt. But why stop at food and drink? The entire human experience might be considered bullshit at one level or another. Are our senses truly faithful to reality? The very existence of matter is now subject to doubt; at the quantum level, everything appears to be energy frequencies. What we consider solid is not solid at all if we examine it closely enough.
But all this doesn’t matter much when you’re falling from a tall building. All the quantum physics, philosophy and enlightenment in the world will not help you when you reach the end of your fall. You’ll still end up a mangled pancake when your not-so-solid body makes contact with the not-so-solid pavement. Our perception of reality is accurate enough to have allowed us to survive as a species and navigate our world successfully.
I’m a bit surprised that Mangan himself didn’t make the connection between the Mayyasi’s wine article and race. Even if we’re mistaken about race-realism*, and there really is no difference between the races other than the superficial ones, this is enough to make race a reality. As humans, we cannot escape our own perceptions. We are what we are, and if we happen to be made of bullshit, then so be it. The sooner we come to terms with this, the better off we’ll be.
* But the science behind the the biological reality of race is overwhelming, and getting stronger every day.

The gay pride parade in Portland

A buddy of mine called me and said, “Let’s go to the Thai parade Sunday.” I thought, “Oh cool! A Thai parade. There will be Thai dancers in exotic costumes, interesting music and food. Count me in!”
Except that my sense of hearing must be getting dull with age. He said “gay pride parade,” not “Thai parade.” So this is how I ended up at Portland’s gay pride parade, just as a spectator mind you.
Practically every corporation known to man had a presence at the parade. All sorts of banks, retail chains, schools and private organizations were represented. The mayor and his wife were there – along with tens of thousands of people, all cheering for love, tolerance, inclusion and gays.
Can an abomination and a denomination coexist? See for yourself:
pride parade1pride parade2pride parade6pride parade8
Here’s the mayor and his wife:
pride parade4
There was no dissent. Nobody dared question the gay lifestyle, or the appropriateness of declaring one’s pride in what, arguably, should be a private matter. As men in leather had mock sex in the street, thousands of Portlanders cheered them on.
So it struck me as rather odd that a prevailing theme in the parade was that gays are persecuted. That they are marginalized in today’s society. Many wore buttons and t-shirts that said “legalize gay.” Seriously?
A young man approached me to sign a petition. He was outraged that, in some states, it’s legal to fire somebody for being homosexual. I told him it should be legal. That a private company should be allowed to hire, or fire, people as it sees fit and for any reason. That discrimination is perfectly acceptable. I told him that consumers would punish companies that made bad hiring decisions. I definitely got him thinking; he looked confused after that encounter.
Noticeably absent from the parade were Muslim groups of any kind. I didn’t see anybody holding signs that read “Allah loves gays too” or “Shiites for marriage equality.” Hmm… Must have been an oversight.

Concerned citizens paint their own crosswalks

According to Opposing Views, a group of concerned citizens in Tacoma, Washington, are taking pedestrian safety into their own hands.

A frustrated group of citizens in Tacoma, Wash., is putting down “rogue crosswalks” as concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety have intensified. Now the city says it plans to prosecute anyone caught making a rogue crosswalk.
The group, Citizens for a Safer Tacoma, has painted five rogue crosswalks and said it will break the law if that means saving lives. The group said at least 15 members have been hit by cars. When they asked the city for help, the anonymous group members said they were turned away.
Back in May, the group painted a crosswalk at a large intersection on St. Helens Avenue overnight. Just two weeks later, the city had workers grind the crosswalk out of the pavement.
While the city said it wants to address concerns about crosswalks, the holdup comes down to money. The city spends up to $1,000 to remove the illegal crosswalks and it would have cost the city about $1,000 to put a legal crosswalk there itself.
Businesses in the area said the vigilante crosswalk painters are demonstrating the frustration everyone feels with the city.

One of the hallmarks of a civilized society is that pedestrians have rights that automobile operators are expected to honor. In a third-world country, such as India or most of the Middle East, drivers have the right of way (in practice if not officially) and pedestrians are expected to fend for themselves.
Israel is a third-world country – at least it was when I was living there. Pedestrians had no rights whatsoever; either they learned to move out of the way quickly or they ended up dead.
One problem I took issue with was the Israeli habit of parking on sidewalks. As the father of small children, it incensed me to think how my kids would be required to walk around those cars, into the dangerous street, to reach their destination. It especially angered me that some of them blocked the sidewalks my daughter needed to use in order to get to school. I used various methods to express my disapproval.
I always carried large white stickers with me. They said “The sidewalk is for pedestrians.” I would stick them on the offender’s windshield directly in his field of view. This would be most effective during the hot summer months when the sun would bake the stickers, and melt the glue onto the glass. I relished the thought of those drivers spending time scraping them off. One large truck, which used to regularly be parked directly in front of my daughter’s school, disappeared after a few treatments. In his case, the iron grates in front of his windshield (for blocking Palestinian rocks) must have made it especially difficult to remove the stickers.
Sometimes I would keep on walking, dirty shoes and all, right over those cars. I would literally walk on top of the cars, leaving my tread marks on the hood and roof.
There was one stretch of sidewalk, also on the way to my daughter’s school, that was particularly wide. Across the street from it was a construction site. Numerous drivers would use that area as a parking lot. They would park diagonally, so that pedestrians had no choice but to walk into the street in order to pass. I would visit during the wee hours of the night and carry large rocks, from the construction site, over to the sidewalk. I would place them alongside the curb so that they formed a barrier. Anybody wishing to park in that area would have to first leave his car and remove some of the rocks so that he could get his car through.
Some drivers did just that. Upon inspection during the day, I would find rocks moved to the side and the cars parked as before. My response was to return the rocks to their rightful place – right on top of the cars. Yes, the drivers would return to find large rocks on top of their cars.
Each night I would repeat this ritual, using larger and larger stones. This went on for a month or two. One day, when I was walking by, I noticed that my rocks were all gone – but in their place was a metal fence, obviously placed there by the municipality. My message had been taken to heart and others had joined my cause.
God must have been with me through all this; not once was I accosted by an angry driver. Not once was I physically confronted or threatened.

Dutch football player kicked to death

A Dutch football player has been kicked to death by Moroccan football players. According to Reuters:

A Dutch court found six teenage footballers and a player’s father guilty on Monday of beating an amateur linesman to death, an incident that shocked the nation and prompted soul-searching over soccer violence and race.
Linesman Richard Nieuwenhuizen, 41, was attacked by the soccer players – mostly of Moroccan origin – while he was officiating at an under-17 match at Almere, near Amsterdam.
Nieuwenhuizen was kicked repeatedly by the youth players, who were 15 and 16 years old at the time, and the adult who had been on the sidelines. He collapsed hours after the match and was taken to hospital where he went into a coma and died the following day…

I’m pretty sure the Dutch suffer ongoing abuse and assaults from foreigners every day. This incident attracted some publicity because the victim was a soccer player. While in Amsterdam I witnessed black Africans showing off their white girls to each other as if they’re chattel. It was disgusting – but such behavior doesn’t make it to the news except in rare cases.
“Soul-searching over… race?” I doubt it. “Soul-searching over soccer?” Yes, this is what will happen. The press will focus on violence in sports, hooligans, drunkenness etc. But don’t expect to see much soul-searching over race, unless it’s to focus on the rare instances where native Europeans victimize foreigners.

University of Washington to require diversity course for graduation

The Seattle Times recently reported:

Saying it has an obligation to prepare students for a more global society, the University of Washington will require undergrads to complete a course in some area of diversity — economic, cultural or political — before they can graduate.
The new policy, initiated by a group of mostly minority students, followed three failed attempts over the past 22 years to introduce changes meant to ensure that all graduating students know a little more about other cultures and people who differ from them than they did when they first arrived.

It’s sad when an official cult spreads its tentacles around the globe, eating up precious resources and ruining lives in the process. But it’s even more sad when young people buy into the propaganda and become pawns for the rich and powerful.
Not that I feel sorry for the “mostly minority students” who spearheaded the drive to require diversity training for graduation at their university. It’s a feather in their hats that they’re sure to profit from for decades. Call me naive, but I can’t help feeling that some of them, maybe most, actually believe they’re doing a good turn for the world. But within their lifetimes, “diversity training” will mean little more than an official cry of “Can’t we all just get along?” This cry will likely fall on deaf ears as a multitude of interest groups, ethnic, racial and religious, vie for their share of an ever-shrinking pie.
If we all were to suddenly get along, it would not bode well for the top diversicrats who pull the strings. It would be bad news for organizations such as the SPLC or the ADL. Their livelihoods depend on manufactured “hate.” They thrive on fear and their witch hunts for “racists”, “homophobes” or “Islamophobes” never cease. “Diversity” is an industry and, just like big tobacco (allegedly) or McDonalds, it feeds on our impressionable young.
When a young person first gets tangled up in the lies of the diversity cult, he is a victim. But as he grows older, in ever darker shades of an evil continuum, he becomes a perpetrator. As in the movie The Body Snatchers, innocent people are transformed into soulless aliens.
I love children. I take great pleasure in their innocent laughter and play. It pains me to ponder them being reduced to little more than units of production to be fed into the insatiable maw of the diversity industry.
