Let's all jump at once

I was having a conversation with a coworker about ethnic identity. Having suckled at the teat of television for most of his life, he argued that we should all simply forget our ethnic affiliations and become one, loving, human race. I reminded him that non-whites are in no hurry to do so; it’s only whites who strive to eliminate themselves. I also referred to the following Pearls Before Swine comic, which had just come out:

pearls before swine2
The jumping penguin, of course, represents the white race.

Lipitor and Viagra

Here is a rule I generally follow: If an issue is too complex to wring the truth out of in a reasonable amount of time and effort, go with your gut feeling.
Hence, when I was told that my cholesterol levels were too high, I declined my doctor’s recommendation to take medication for it. Instead, I opted for continued vigorous exercise and a strict low-cholesterol diet. I maintained this lifestyle for almost a year and then had my cholesterol checked again. It had hardly budged. At that point, I realized that this is a genetic trait that I could do little about. My family has virtually no history of heart disease, so I reverted to eating pretty much what I pleased (within reason – and I do happen to like fruits and vegetables). I’ve been doing this for several years. More recent tests have shown that my cholesterol levels have dropped somewhat.
But my new doctor was adamant that I should start taking statins to lower my cholesterol levels. He confronted me about it twice, and each time I firmly refused. The whole matter seemed fishy to me. I knew that somebody was making a ton of money off of these medications. I knew that they were being heavily promoted in the media – and I was suspicious.
It’s not at all clear that cholesterol, even “bad” cholesterol, (LDL) is bad for us.  Dr. Shane Ellison has made a case that the benefits of cholesterol outweigh its risks. I recommend reading the article, though it’s somewhat long. Ellison is not alone; many others have questioned the premise that cholesterol (LDL) is our enemy, and that we should fight it with drugs.
Others opine that Low Density Lipids (LDL) are, indeed, a risk factor that needs to be addressed – but only when the patient is already suffering from heart disease. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, at The Huffington Post, makes this argument, and backs it up with several studies. He claims that millions of Americans are harming their health, and wasting their money, by taking cholesterol medication when it is not indicated at all.
In the pro-Lipitor camp, we find articles touting its benefits not only in combating heart disease, but also, in combination with Viagra, in relieving impotence. For example, in drugs.com we read:

Men with erectile dysfunction who do not experience symptom relief with Viagra (sildenafil) may have another option: A new study suggests Lipitor (atorvastatin) may improve men’s response to Viagra.

This is interesting… because a lot of people are claiming that Lipitor itself can cause erectile dysfunction (impotence). For example, here and here. We read on ehow:

According to the Mayo Clinic, Lipitor may cause difficulties in achieving or maintaining an erection. It may also trigger loss of sexual desire or drive.

I won’t be the first to point out, however, that the company that markets Viagra is the very same company that markets Lipitor: Pfizer.
That’s right. Pfizer markets a drug that is widely claimed to cause impotence – and it also markets a drug to treat that impotence. If you check the Lipitor official website, you will find a list of possible side effects. Conveniently, erectile dysfunction is not listed. I think Pfizer is not being on the up and up with us.
When your doctor speaks to you, he’s probably not lying. Most likely, he has your best interest in mind. But he may be swayed. I don’t claim to be an expert in the matter, but money talks. Lots of money talks a lot – and, in this case, we’re talking about a very large sum of money. I’ll conclude with a quote from Dr. Ellison:

With dollar signs in their eyes, drug companies have launched a massive fear campaign about cholesterol. Being led by the pharmaceutically-compliant National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP), the campaign convinced the entire world that LDL- cholesterol is bad and that total cholesterol levels should remain below 200 mg/dL in order to prevent heart disease. (Of the nine nerdy members of the NCEP, eight had financial ties to cholesterol lowering drug makers like Pfizer, Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and AstraZeneca. This fact was concealed when the NCEP made its recommendations public.)…
Pfizer’s blockbuster drug Lipitor became the first prescription drug to make more than $10 billion in annual sales. To date, Forbes Magazine tells us that statins are earning drug pushers $26 billion in annual sales – the equivalent of your lifetime income, plus 1500 others, every year! Think this can buy medical journals, ads and lobbying to push fear along with the cholesterol-lowering agenda?

Immigration hurts secessionist movements

Localism is a good thing. Greater autonomy for distinct regions generally leads to more liberty. Even if specific regions trample upon human rights, their smaller geographical area makes it easier for those who feel oppressed to move to another region.
All else being equal, a smaller state is usually comprised of fewer people and less cultural diversity. Less diversity means fewer special interest groups, which, in turn, means greater liberty for the individual. Today’s America is a relatively free country despite its diversity, not because of it.
When bad things happen, as they ultimately do, an organization (whether it be a company or a nation-state) will respond by creating more laws in order to prevent the misfortune from happening again. Over time, these laws become oppressive; they threaten the very foundation of liberty itself. Having more citizens/employees increases the frequency of bad things happening. Hence, the more people in said organization, the more laws will be created to protect them from misfortune. Smaller states, with less people, will thus have fewer laws and more individual liberty.
A region has a chance of winning its autonomy only if there is a certain amount of consensus within the region. In other words, only if there is a common sense of identity within that region. Hispanics/Mexicans identify, primarily, as “Hispanic/Mexican.” This is what I’ve seen. It’s what they, themselves, tell me. Others have similarly noted that Hispanics in Texas do not tend to identify with the South or Texas. Speaking of more recent arrivals, on the forum “CityData.com,  TexasReb writes:

No, what I mean is, and this is just personal experience and IMHO, that hispanic Texans (legal or not), do not, as a general rule, feel any Southern identity…and?…to take it further? A noteable percentage really don’t feel all that much “Texas” identity either. Perhaps because Texas IS essentially a Southern state and so much of the history and culture is at odds with their own ancestry and heritage…?

Not that “TexasReb”, or myself, are authorities on this matter. But the perception is that Hispanics identify as “Mexican” or “Hispanic,” and not so much as members of whatever local society they might happen to now find themselves in (with the exception of some long-established Southern Hispanic families). Absent evidence to the contrary, I’ll go with my own observations.
Rarely will 100% of a population support secession. Even during the American revolution, there was no clear consensus among Americans to secede from the British Empire. If 20% of the American colonies had been Hispanic, and receiving support and benefits from Britain, how might the War of Independence have played out?
Since secession requires a certain amount of local identity, and since today’s immigrants have their own identity, I would say that the influx of immigrants hurts secessionist movements. At best, it dilutes support for secessionist movements.
A case in point, anecdotal to be sure, was a recent hearing on the proposed state of Jefferson. According to Opposing Views:

The State of Jefferson, as it would be known, would be an amalgamation of rural counties focused on restoring limited, locally focused government at the state level that takes into account issues that effect the bucolic communities of which the state would consist.
On Tuesday, the Siskiyou County (Calif.) Board of Supervisors voted to support the county’s split from the state, in the presence of over 100 people who almost unanimously supported the secession.
Mark Baird, resident of Scott Valley, has been leading the movement to unite Northern Californian and Southern Oregonian counties as a new state, and insisted Tuesday “We have to have government that’s local, understands our issues and has empathy” for people like them…
Board Chair Ed Valenzuela was the sole vote against the declaration, arguing he was elected to solve problems within the syste, not undermine it.
”It comes down to because I took an oath. I took an oath when I ran for re-election, which I just did, and that was to uphold the Constitution, and uphold the constitution of the state of California,” he said. “And within that, and because knowing what it’s like to be a minority, I know the value of having to work from the other side without the numbers and without support. I signed on to do that, I signed on to work within the system I know. I don’t like it, I don’t agree with it all the time but at the same token, I did sign up for that and I will continue to do so.”

Thus, by diluting local identities, immigrants hurt the cause of liberty. How else do they hurt the cause of liberty?
They generally come from cultures where “Give me liberty or give me death” was not a founding principle. They often come from backward cultures that do not share our mores. For example, Human Stupidity recently wrote about a case where a British judge released a child rapist because, in his culture, such acts are not considered wrong. He writes:

18 year old Muslim immigrant Adil Rashid was convicted of statutory rape of a 13 year old girl he met on the internet.
When he went to be sentenced, he told Judge Michael Stokes that he didn’t know it was illegal. He said he attended private Muslim school in Britain and that they had not educated him on British law.
Stokes said that was good enough for him and freed the Rashid with no punishment. TopConservativeNews

Judge Stokes sentenced Rashid to nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, along with a two-year probation supervision order, instead of a more normal 5 year prison term.

Back in January, there was a profoundly disturbing case at Nottingham Crown Court. Adil Rashid, who had “raped” an underage girl, was spared a prison term after the judge heard that the naïve 18-year-old attended an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless. Rashid told psychologists he had no idea that having sex with a willing 13-year-old was against the law;

As immigrant-driven rapes increase in the Western world, we can expect ever more draconian anti-(statutory) rape laws, which will inevitably lead to innocents being prosecuted as well. Similarly, Mexicans don’t appear to consider drunk driving to be as serious a matter as do most Americans. As drunken Mexican immigrants continue to mow down Americans on our roads, ever more harsh anti-drunk driving laws will be passed in reaction. Innocents will be caught in this legal web.
In the past, immigrants were expected to give up their native cultures and assimilate. Most were eager to do so. But now they are encouraged to keep their own traditions. In the case of Hispanics, they’re even encouraged to keep their own language. All this leads to increased cultural diversity – which we are told is a good thing. To those who believe cultural diversity, in one geographical area, is a good thing, I suggest they study post-colonial sub-Saharan African history. Rwanda and Congo are good examples of what such diversity brings. Nigeria is another.

Three whites bully a black boy…

… and then the black boy gets rescued by a former marine. My initial impression is that there is more to this story than we’re being told. ABC news reports:

Jones’ instinct to protect kicked into overdrive when he stumbled upon three men bullying 14-year-old Zion Wright on Florida’s Juno Beach.
“Everything kind of escalated very quickly and all of a sudden I was kind of in the middle of a melee,” said Jones. “It was not just a situation i could just walk past.”
Wright’s own father said he tried to help.
“I see that these guys were not backing down, and I literally had to keep them at bay, and then I looked up and here was Mr. Jones,” Wright’s father, Leroy Wright.

Watch the video at the link above. It’s astounding that, apparently, no hate-crime charges are being considered. However, all three men are being charged with felonies. It’s possible that the three perps are just low-life scumbags with nothing better to do than beat up on a random 14-year-old boy. However, it’s also possible that something else was going on here. Something neither the authorities nor the media want us to know. A 14-year-old black boy is typically not like a 14-year-old white or Asian. Blacks mature faster, tend to be larger and more charged with testosterone. At this point, we can only guess what might have prompted such an attack.

Breaking news: George Zimmerman eats 3-egg omelet

George Zimmerman has eaten a three egg omelet sources say. According to his estranged wife, Shelly Zimmerman, George used to eat only two-egg omelets.
This can only mean one thing, explains psychologist Dr. Dale Archer, “Zimmerman, wracked by guilt over his racism, has taken it upon himself to commit a slow suicide by cholesterol.”
The warning signs have been there for a while. Just recently, Zimmerman was seen near a McDonalds restaurant. Before that, he was observed purchasing cheese at a grocery store.
In normal humans, the two types of cholesterol, High-Diversity-Lipids (HDLs) and Low-Diversity-Lipids (LDLs) act differently upon our arteries. But the arteries of a racist are especially vulnerable to High-Diversity-Lipids. The HDLs found in whole eggs can be deadly to racists.

cholesterolActual footage of High-Diversity-Lipids (HDLs) attacking Zimmerman’s racist arteries

The fact that Zimmerman now takes an average of 2.4 seconds to respond to a traffic light changing back to green (as reported by our team of Zimmerman experts) also indicates that his state of mind has been compromised. Guilt is the only logical explanation.

Next: What brand toilet paper does George Zimmerman use? Learn what this can mean for America.

A new blog has come online

It is with great satisfaction that I announce the publication, by a good friend of mine, of a new blog. This parody blog is called Diversity Chronicle and I think its author has a lot of talent. Here is one post of his I’ve chosen to reblog here, with his permission of course. I’ll share more of his posts in the future:

New Senate Bill Would Enable Non Citizens to Vote in US National Elections

Handshake
A new bill making its way through the US Senate would allow everyone in the world to vote in US national elections for the first time. SR 5043 the “Worldwide Voting Rights Act” enjoys widespread and popular support among the leadership of both parties. Sen. Barbara Sanderson the bill’s author makes several important points in favour of the bill.
“America is a unique nation in the history of the world in that rather than being a nation built around a common sense of identity, ethnic, or otherwise America is founded on the idea of democracy itself. Since America is an idea and not a traditional nation, it belongs to the entire world, everyone everywhere who loves democracy and believes in equality and freedom is equally an American regardless of their legal citizenship or other national identity.” Sanderson noted before adding. “This bill enjoys widespread bipartisan support among leaders of both parties. It is not controversial at all.”
Despite the widespread support that SR 5043 enjoys, a few critics allege that it does present very serious logistical problems. If everyone in the world votes in US elections, how will those votes be counted? A few extreme critics of the bill claim that individuals hostile to America could vote in US elections for the purpose of undermining the nation somehow. The bill which authorizes absentee voting for new overseas voters unfortunately comes with a high price tag at a projected cost of 18 trillion dollars in the first worldwide US presidential election alone with estimates suggesting that as many as 78% of the world may opt to vote in US elections.
Although under SR 5043 individuals around the world will be able to vote in US elections, votes by persons of white ancestry will be counted as only three fifths of a vote due to the legacy of white slavery and racism in America and around the world. Experts agree that it is important to ensure that disproportionately wealthy Europeans are not able to influence elections in their favour over the more numerous but impoverished masses of India and Sub Saharan Africa.
Whites from South Africa and Zimbabwe will not be eligible to vote in US elections. Whites who are or were formerly members of hate groups such as those which campaign against third world immigration into Europe, America, Canada and Australia will likewise be barred from participation. Eastern Europe as well as Greece, Italy and Hungary have been barred entirely as experts agree that racism enjoys “widespread support” in those regions as evidenced by recent elections.
“I think we need to ask ourselves, why should someone vote in US elections if they are not even a citizen of the US. This bill doesn’t even make any sense to me, if you love democracy you are an American? Really…? In other words, maybe billions of people who have never even been to this country will be able to say they are Americans, and vote in US elections suddenly?” Senator John Klaussen of Oklahoma stated during a recent interview. Yesterday, an amendment was added to SR 5043 to censure Senator Klaussen for making “defamatory and hostile remarks” regarding the bill. Republican party leadership has urged Klaussen to step down stating that his views do not represent the party in any way.
Some countries express scepticism and disbelief over the idea of allowing the world to vote in US elections. An anonymous senior official in the People’s Republic of China stated off the record that “The idea that all of our citizens who embrace certain ideological values are somehow really Americans is just ridiculous. This is an idea that is very difficult I think for the people of the world to accept. Such a peculiar action on the part of the US government warrants careful analysis.” The anonymous official however, when pressed stopped short of saying that the Chinese government would necessarily bar its citizens from voting in US elections.
Despite the reservations of some overseas, a few foreign countries have expressed surprising support for allowing non-American citizens to vote in US elections. The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto has welcomed the proposal stating “This idea receives my strongest possible endorsement. Finally all of the people of Mexico and South America will have a real opportunity to more equitably effect the results of US elections. Without a doubt this is probably the most exciting initiative to come out of the US in my lifetime. I pledge my full and steadfast cooperation to the US government in ensuring that every single citizen of Mexico has the opportunity to vote in US elections.”
President Nieto claims that he is already in “serious discussions” with the US state department on formulating a plan so that every Mexican will receive a US ballot, even discussing the possibility of a new Mexican law to require all citizens to vote in US elections. American leaders have praised President Nieto for his cooperation and goodwill.
As one immigrant rights activist noted “We are all Americans whether we are here legally or not.” Hopefully, with the passage of this landmark bill, along with comprehensive immigration reform her positive and humane affirmation will take on legal significance.

Estonia versus Liberia

Estonian politician Martin Helme recently made international headlines when he opined that Estonia should be a white country. According to the International Business Times:

An outspoken Estonian politician has a message for would-be immigrants: “If you’re black, go back.”
Martin Helme, a board member for the Conservative People’s Party, was speaking about immigration policies on a television show in Tallinn, when he said he wants Estonia to remain a “white country,” and that an influx of immigrants would lead to the “pillaging and raping” of Estonian towns.

Helme’s fears of African immigration are well-founded. Unfortunately, he has little to no power in Estonia. Regarding Helme’s political party, the article goes on to say:

Today the party is supported by only about 3 percent of the country and is not even represented in Estonia’s parliament…

Estonia is a small country, with only about 1.3 million people. In contrast, Liberia has a population of about 3.7 million people.
Liberia doesn’t have fringe politicians calling for it to remain a black country; this policy is already written into its constitution:

Article 27

a) All persons who, on the coming into force of this Constitution were lawfully
citizens of Liberia shall continue to be Liberian citizens.
b) In order to preserve, foster and maintain the positive Liberian culture, values and character, only persons who are Negroes or of Negro descent shall qualify by birth or by naturalization to be citizens of Liberia.

It goes without saying that if any country dared to even suggest a policy of limiting its citizenship to “persons who are Caucasians or of Caucasian descent,” the uproar would be deafening. The U.S. would instantly break off diplomatic ties with said country. Foreign aid to said country would be out of the question.
But this is what the U.S. Department of State has to say about its relationship with Liberia:

U.S. assistance and engagement is critical to Liberia’s short-term stability and long-term development. National elections in 2011 drew broad participation from the electorate, and paved the way for a peaceful transition to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s second administration. But opposition and unrest surrounding the elections showed that security, political, and social conditions remain fragile, and that the government must continue to make progress in building and solidifying confidence in public governance, reenergizing reforms, and fostering tangible improvements in the lives of average Liberians.
U.S. Assistance to Liberia
U.S. assistance seeks to focus on professionalizing Liberia’s military and civilian security forces; consolidating democratic progress; improving capacity, transparency, and accountability of governance institutions; promoting broad-based and environmentally sustainable economic growth; improving access to high-quality educational and health services; and responding to the problem of narcotics trafficking in West Africa, while helping Liberia build capacity to plan, implement, and sustain its own development efforts in each sector.
Bilateral Economic Relations
Liberia is eligible for preferential trade benefits under the African Growth and Opportunity Act. The country’s revenues come primarily from rubber exports and revenues from its maritime registry program. Liberia’s U.S.-owned and operated shipping and corporate registry is the world’s second-largest. U.S. exports to Liberia include agricultural products (with rice as the leading category), vehicles, machinery, optic and medical instruments, and textiles. The main imports from Liberia to the United States are rubber and allied products; other imports include wood, art and antiques, palm oil, and diamonds. The United States and Liberia have signed a trade and investment framework agreement.

Not only is there no outrage at its negro-only policy, but the U.S. actively aids Liberia, nurtures it and grants it preferential treatment. The fact that few persons of non-negro descent would ever want to live in Liberia is beside the point.
The only indignation we get, concerning aid to Liberia, is from the likes of Front Page Africa Online, where we read:

Between 2006 and 2010, five years into President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s first term, the Liberian Government reportedly received over US$2.5b in humanitarian aid and other official development assistance (ODA), excluding debt relief, from 16 government donors. The top ten government donors include the European Union (US$111.6m), the United States (US$77.8m)…
The United States became the first country to grant debt relief to Liberia, waiving the full $391 million owed to it by Liberia in early 2007…
In spite of all  the debt relief and donor assistance, Liberia remains extremely poor and fragile with a high vulnerability index score. The country is one of ten Sub-Saharan African countries ranked as poorest in the world, according to the Multidimensional Poverty Index. The 2007 Core Welfare Indicator Questionnaire (CWIQ) puts the percentage of people living in extreme poverty (living on less than a dollar a day) at 63.8%. In absolute terms, this means that the proportion of the population living below the poverty line is 1.7 million, with 1.3 million people or 48% living in extreme poverty. The 2010 Millennium Development Goals Report states that Liberia is unlikely to achieve the targets set for eradicating extreme hunger and poverty by 2015 (Goal 1). Worse still, the American business magazine, Forbes ranks Liberia 13th among the saddest countries in the world.
In other words, those millions of dollars, much of it from tax-payers, went into a black hole. Much of it probably helped fund tyrants and corrupt bureaucrats.
Can Liberia’s negro-only policy be justified because of past colonialism? This would be a stretch – since Liberia was never truly a colony. Its close relationship with the U.S. kept European colonialists at bay.
It seems likely that this “sad country” would have been a lot less sad had it been a European colony. At least that way, it would have had a solid infrastructure to build on.
There is no “racial equality” in nature, but I believe it’s in our best interest to draw attention to the government’s double-standards. Within this context, we should demand “racial equality” in government. If there ever comes a time when the U.S. government becomes colorblind, then we can recalibrate our strategies from there. Therefore, I have created a petition at the White House petitions website. Please follow this link and sign it:
Sign the petition to have the U.S. government cease foreign aid to Liberia, and cut off foreign relations with it, until it gets rid of its “negro-only” policy.

Liberians need to learn from Americans

In America, academic tests are considered “racist” if not enough blacks pass them. Therefore, in America, our rulers see no problem with dumbing down the tests so that enough blacks pass them. This is routine procedure and has been for some time.
But it appears that Liberia has not yet received the memo; they still expect their students to adhere to old-fashioned academic standards. How quaint! So we read, on Yahoo news:

A class of none: Students go 0 for 25,000 on University of Liberia entrance exam

The failure by even a single student to gain admission underscores the difficulties still facing Liberia 10 years after its civil war ended.

The math was alarmingly simple. Nearly 25,000 students took the entrance exam for the University of Liberia this year, and every one of those nearly 25,000 failed.
In a sheepish press conference last week, the university announced that not a single applicant received a passing mark to attend one of the West African country’s flagship institutions, and that they would be required to lower their standards in order to populate a new freshman class…

To be honest, even as one who recognizes the importance of H.B.D. (human biodiversity), I suspect more is going on here than just dumb students. Surely there are some Liberians who are bright enough to pass the entrance exam. My guess is that, for some reason (cultural or political), these bright students have chosen to skip the exam. Perhaps all the bright ones are already so well off that they see no reason to pursue admission to university. Why work hard when you already have everything you need and your privileged station in life is assured?
As for that last question, it doesn’t apply to Western societies or Asian societies. In advanced societies, people seek knowledge, and self-improvement, even if they are already comfortable in life. In many cases, even more so. Do intelligent Africans lack the drive to improve themselves for no material benefit?

Muslim teaching his son paranoia

While in downtown Portland today, a man walked up to me and gave me a small flyer. This is what is says:

We are American citizens. The government is trying to kill us. We are being tortured, insulted, humiliated (e.g. physical injuries, death threats, property damage/ vandalism, government harassment including police stalking/ privacy invasion, traveling detention (airport interrogation, missed flight, denial of food service), verbal abuse (religious epithets, taunting, etc.). At work: monetary hardship, hostile work environment/harassment from management, co-workers, scare tactics and intimidation. For more info: youtube.com/heshamehussein
We are a Muslim family. Muslims are being attacked because of their beliefs. Muslims believe in obedience to the Creator. The Creator wants people to choose freedom (freedom from slavery to man (government, job, each other)), peace, security, human rights, justice and happiness in this life and in the hereafter (heaven). The Creator wants to protect us from His wrath (punishment in this life, hell). For more info: quran.com

I followed the youtube link and found several videos on Hussein’s channel, including this one:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODonPYl7LHw&w=560&h=315]
Personally, I found it sickening and hard to watch. This man is teaching his child to be paranoid. To see bigotry and ominous threats in everyday incidents that all of us experience. I had a man cut me off today in traffic. It never occurred to me to suspect him of having done so deliberately because I look different than him.  Rather, I assumed he simply failed to see me. People are rude to me now and then. I assume they’re having a bad day, not that they have it in for me because I’m Jewish. I’ve been treated unfairly at work numerous times (who hasn’t?). I attribute it to bad management. Not to some sort of conspiracy against me. I shudder to think what sort of man this little boy will grow into. It wouldn’t surprise me if the rage inside him (planted there by his father) causes him to be a terrorist.
Jews, and other groups, are sometimes guilty of similar behavior, but since it was a Muslim who gave me the flyer, it’s Muslims I’m writing about today.
