The reasonable silent black majority?

An intelligent, well-spoken, black person can make a living simply by being a conservative. Whites who oppose “affirmative action” are among the quickest to practice it themselves when they see an opportunity to attach themselves to a “person of color” who holds similar values. They’ll trip over themselves to show their support for conservative blacks, while barely even acknowledging equally qualified whites. They want to show their leftist overlords (or themselves) that they’re not racist. I’ve done it myself in the past. Not so much to show anybody else that I’m not racist, but partly because I wanted to show myself that I’m not racist. In other words, to show myself that I’m capable of being friendly with people of any background. But that was a long time ago. These days I’m well  past that stage. Last night I shopped at Safeway, and the woman behind the counter sported a wide smile and a good attitude. It didn’t matter to me that she was black; I gave her that smile and attitude right back. I’m a happier person that way, and I don’t need to prove anything to anyone.
Some racialist bloggers, of the sort that usually rant against “the Jews,” will link to me now and then. I’m sure most of them simply agree with what I have to say (or disagree, as the case might be), or want to show their support because we’re in the same camp. But some of them probably also use me as a way of saying, “See! I’m not an anti-Semite; I even have a Jewish friend.” They’re giving me “affirmative action.” I don’t blame them one bit. Ranting against “the Jews” doesn’t mean one is full of hatred for ALL Jews, and they’re simply emphasizing that point. Nothing wrong with that. I sometimes rant against “the blacks,” but I don’t hate any individual just because he’s black. I think a lot of leftists are incapable of making such distinctions.
I was reading an article today, on Yahoo News, about a celebrity named Julianne Hough (I’d never heard of her until then):

Looks like Julianne Hough learned the hard way that some people take offense in the 21st century when white starlets wear black face.

Yet there she was, dressed up as the African-American inmate Crazy Eyes, so memorably portrayed by Uzo Aduba on “Orange Is the New Black.” The actress was attending the Casamigos Tequila Halloween party in Hollywood with friends, who also went as characters from the buzzy new Netflix series.

The internet was not amused. To her credit, the “Dancing With the Stars” winner and “Rock of Ages” actress quickly apologized on Twitter for her choice of costume.

Here are a couple of comments:

Mich

Hello world! African American man here. I have a hunch that a good majority of my race is not “outraged” by this…AT ALL. We actually couldn’t care less. IT’S NOT THAT SERIOUS lol. It’s the media who makes a big deal out of it. So PRETTY PLEASE stop thinking it is African Americans who are actually that darn sensitive. This bothers us not. (804 thumbs up).
jenean p

People really need to get a grip. Not that speak for all black people but I’m black and I didn’t find her costume offensive. I do find it offensive, however, when racism is assumed where it was never intended. (2.6k thumbs up).
With that many thumbs up, is it unrealistic to hope that the editors at Yahoo will take note and wake up from their racial marxist coma? If so many people, both white and black, think the paranoia over supposed “white racism” is overblown and counterproductive, why can’t they rise up and overthrow the leaders of the status quo?
I suspect that, while many blacks are fully aware that “white racism” is, for the most part, a bogey man, they have no incentive to make it go away. On the contrary, they have every reason to maintain the status quo; that’s how they get their goodies: Government handouts, programs and institutional racism in their favor (affirmative action). Nevertheless, I’m encouraged by comments such as the above. It’s a good start.
I’m not convinced that Mich’s hunch (first comment above) is correct – that a majority of blacks are not hypersensitive about hyped up “racism.” I don’t think there’s any way to know for sure; people aren’t always honest in surveys. If there is such a majority, then they need to be more vocal. They need to organize and openly fight against the media “making a big deal out of it.” So far, I don’t see this happening.

The Perils of an Ideological Approach

Men’s rights spokesman Karen Straughan has a mastery of the English language that few can rival. Her powers of analysis are also impressive. Here we see this astute woman exposing the flawed mindset of the feminist movement.
Watch the video here.
A lot of what she says applies equally to racial issues. If she avoids racial issues, it would probably be because of the “non-overlapping camp effect”. In other words, she would alienate some of her men’s rights supporters, and weaken her clout, by weighing in on other controversial issues. Each controversial issue a person takes on will diminish his influence within other camps. They say, “I don’t associate with so and so, because he supports this or that and it would tarnish our image.”
She’s smart enough to know the truth about race, but her focus is elsewhere. Please give her a thumbs up.

Jewish domination of the slave trade

I just watched the following Youtube video by David Duke:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUE0si2llTY&w=560&h=315]
I couldn’t find part two, but I had a few quick thoughts on the matter I wanted to share with y’all.
First of all, nobody alive today should be apologizing for American slavery. Just as whites needn’t apologize for the long-ago actions of a few, so too should Jews not have to.
Taking Duke’s statistics at face value, I can think of two reasons that slave ownership would have been higher among Jews:
1) Jews were wealthier and more of them could afford slaves
2) Jews have a moral defect that persists to this day
I think it’s a combination of these two factors. Speaking from personal experience and my own observations, the Jewish moral defect is actually two defects. The first is a more general moral defect that afflicts religious people of all faiths. When people are given a code to live their lives by, over time they equate adherence to that code as “morality” and violation of that code as “immorality.” That is to say, any action would surely have been prohibited by God if it were truly immoral. The fact that Scripture endorses slavery must mean that there is nothing wrong with it. In this worldview, there is little room for moral scruples outside of what has already been condemned by the word of God. We find a similar attitude in today’s America regarding the law. So many new laws have been passed that there is often an assumption that anything that is legal must also be moral. If it were truly immoral, “they” would surely have already passed a law against it. In either case, it’s a childish way to live one’s life. I think this is the moral defect that was at work in the times of slavery.
Some rabbis recognized this problem and tried to address it. The result was the Musar movement in 19th century Eastern Europe. Books of musar are studied in yeshivas to this day. In a sense, they serve as an artificial conscience and I think they are helpful. I don’t think they can make a bad person good, but they do serve to remind those on the edge that there is a wider morality. Had the musar movement taken root among the wealthy Sephardic Jews of early America, it’s likely that they would have been less active in the slave trade.
The second Jewish moral defect is more relevant today. Judaism served as our moral compass for many centuries. When that compass was taken away, but the moral compass of the dominant, Christian, majority had not yet had time to take root, it created a moral void. This is one reason Jews have been so prominent in the more trashy aspects of Western culture, including the movie industry. We often find ourselves living in a moral no-man’s land. The first half of the 20th century saw millions of Jews being estranged from their ancestral culture. This is also the time when secular Jewish debauchery reached its peak, with those who had reached leadership positions lingering to this day. Today, even though the root cause of the darkness has diminished, we still suffer from a new status quo that it created. Liberalism has imposed its own infantile form of morality upon society, a “morality” that brings more harm than good. Meanwhile, traditional morality feebly struggles to find its footing again. Hopefully, a meaningful moral code, other than Islam, will assert itself before the damage is too great.
By the way, the text displayed on Duke’s video is from the Book of Esther. I’m not sure how that pertains to slavery; he should have used something more pertinent in my opinion – unless he’s equating himself with Haman (which would be rather funny).

How did I know it was a black man?

When I saw this headline earlier today, but was not able to read the details, I assumed the culprit was a ghetto black (a nigger). The story appeared on Opposing Views:

Video: Blind Man Beaten in Broad Daylight While No One Helps

Philadelphia police are looking for a man who pushed a blind man over, punched him, kicked him repeatedly and then stole his bag, according to the Daily Mail. The entire incident was caught on surveillance video.
Cameras also caught at least two people who were there and did nothing during the attack.
The 33-year-old victim is shown walking past a deli in Germantown, Philadelphia just after noon on Oct. 2 before being pushed over from behind. The attacker punches the victim twice and kicks him numerous times. The attacker then goes to a shop, taking the man’s backpack with him…
Police described the attacker as a 20-year-old black man wearing a tan baseball cap, tan shirt and khaki pants.

I could have been wrong; whites have been known to do horrible things too – but this sort of behavior has “nigger” written all over it.  Actually, it’s insulting to even call such a being a “man” at all. If I were black, I would not want him to be called a “black man.” I’d much rather call him a “nigger” in order to distinguish between decent black folk and the likes of him.

Vicarious submissiveness

Human Stupidity (he sends me a lot of stuff) recently sent me an article that deals with the frequent incompatibility between feminism, which asserts equality between the sexes, and human sexuality, which often favors inequality between the sexes. The Psychology Today article tells us:

Twice as many women as men report trouble getting turned on. Health professionals report that low desire is the most common sexual complaint they hear from women. Though several factors specific to the design of the female brain contribute to this problem, there is one important psychological factor that may be unique to modern democracies. This factor is one of the unmentionables of sexual science, but since our book is filled with unmentionables, we’ll whisper it here:
Gender equality inhibits arousal…
The majority of women have submission fantasies. From classic romance The Flame and The Flower to classic erotica The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty to Twilight BDSM fan fiction, submission themes are immensely popular in cross-cultural female erotica. The fact of the matter is that most heterosexual women are wired to find sexual submission arousing–and so are most female mammals…
Almost every quality of dominant males triggers arousal in the female brain: dominant scents, dominant gaits, deep voices, height, displays of wealth. Romance heroes are almost always high status alpha males—billionaires, barons, surgeons, sheriffs. Avon Books and Ellora’s Cave feature no heroes who are kindergarten teachers, accountants, or plumbers. Even though there’s been a trend away from the conspicuously rapey bodice-rippers of the seventies and eighties, women still want strong, dominant men.
“I think this is one of the problems we’re having in romance in general right now: our heroes have gotten a little too PC. We’re portraying men the way feminist ideals say they should be—respectful and consensus-building,” muses erotic romance (EroRom) author Angela Knight. “Yet women like bad boys. I suspect that’s because our inner cavewoman knows Doormat Man would become Sabertooth Tiger Lunch in short order. In fact, this may be one reason why EroRom is gaining popularity so fast–writers feel free to write dominant heroes with more of an edge.”

How many times have we wondered why liberals, who claim to support women’s rights, are so fond of Muslims and Africans? Both groups are well-known for their rape-cultures. For example, here and here. The facts are out there, and they’re not difficult to find – and yet a vast majority of the liberal establishment supports massive immigration from Muslim and African lands. No matter how many times we remind them that such immigration is bad for women’s rights (and gay rights), they pay no heed, their only response being yet more shrill cries of “racist!”
I believe that both liberal men and women are submissive. On a subconscious level, they actually WANT those rapes to occur. Just as so many women prefer a “bad-boy” over one who will treat them as ladies, so too do liberals prefer the bad-boy cultures of Islam and Africa. This is their way of living out their submissive fantasies – except that they don’t usually want the rapes to happen to them, or to their own daughters. Instead, they want them to happen to other people’s daughters. In this way, they can live out their fantasies in relative safety.
If we want to sway public opinion, and drive home the dangers of mass immigration from African and Muslim lands, we must learn to appeal to the emotional, subconscious, side of our audience. Reasoned arguments will have little effect, any more so than reasoned arguments will prevent a woman from preferring a bad-boy over a gentleman.  What they say and what they really want are two entirely different things. Like the old adage goes, “when she says ‘no’, she means ‘yes.'” When liberals say “No” to rape, what they really mean is “Yes.” We need to treat liberals as women, even the ones who are biologically men. Women respect assertiveness and force. In recent history, pro-white groups have displayed little of each. While the suit-and-tie pro-white activists may appeal to some, I don’t think their effect will be a large one. There’s something to be said of tattoos and belligerence – or better yet, act as the Muslims: Good cop, bad cop.

Exploring the Morristown yeshiva

As a teenager, I spent a couple of years at the Lubavitcher yeshiva in Morristown, New Jersey. I have cherished memories of this place. From today’s perspective, the world seemed so young back in the 70s. So uncomplicated. But to my young eyes, many things seemed old and mysterious. I’ve always had some wannabe Indiana Jones in me. The exploration of old places, which have not been disturbed for a long time, holds a fascination with me.
These days, both main buildings of these Lubavitcher yeshivas (there are 2 in the same complex) are spruced up and nice. But back then, the building to the left in this photo was derelict. Few people (save a maintenance man or two) ventured there regularly and, for my young imagination, it was like my own private Pompeii. It had been said that the complex, including some forested land around these buildings, had been purchased from a group of nuns. This must have been around 1955.
morristown yeshiva
Hiking around the 82 acres surrounding the complex, I would find stones arranged in odd patterns. I got the impression that rather than nuns, the place had been inhabited by satanists. The high smoke stack, visible in the photo above just above center, was difficult to gain access too. I had to climb through a small opening near the floor, perhaps two of them, to get inside of it. Once inside, by the dim light of the opening high above, I could see a thick layer of dust covering everything. The thick brick walls formed four small shelves opposite each other. On each shelve was a candle, half consumed and left there for who knows how long. I imagined this must have been the site of a strange ceremony.
Under the building was at least one very long tunnel. Periodically, students would gather at its end and have drunken parties late at night. Bats made their home there.
The building had various hidden chambers. One of them held a series of brick ovens built into the walls, about three high and four across if memory serves me right. They were just the right size for people to fit into, and they made me think of the crematoriums at concentration camps. Inside one of them was the skeletal remains of a cat. Were they for baking bread? They seemed too large for that. Most likely they were wood stoves, or maybe they were used to burn garbage.
I have other fond memories of Morristown. Memories of the people and the friendships I had. Memories of the rabbis who, though Lubavitchers themselves, were open-minded enough to accept that my path wasn’t with Lubavitch.
A couple of nights ago I had a dream about this place. Details of the dream have become intertwined with my original recollections and this troubles me. It’s hard to know if some particulars are memories of my experiences or memories of the dream. In any event, please feel free to share your own youthful (or not-so-youthful) exploratory adventures with the rest of us.

Let's all jump at once

I was having a conversation with a coworker about ethnic identity. Having suckled at the teat of television for most of his life, he argued that we should all simply forget our ethnic affiliations and become one, loving, human race. I reminded him that non-whites are in no hurry to do so; it’s only whites who strive to eliminate themselves. I also referred to the following Pearls Before Swine comic, which had just come out:

pearls before swine2
The jumping penguin, of course, represents the white race.

Lipitor and Viagra

Here is a rule I generally follow: If an issue is too complex to wring the truth out of in a reasonable amount of time and effort, go with your gut feeling.
Hence, when I was told that my cholesterol levels were too high, I declined my doctor’s recommendation to take medication for it. Instead, I opted for continued vigorous exercise and a strict low-cholesterol diet. I maintained this lifestyle for almost a year and then had my cholesterol checked again. It had hardly budged. At that point, I realized that this is a genetic trait that I could do little about. My family has virtually no history of heart disease, so I reverted to eating pretty much what I pleased (within reason – and I do happen to like fruits and vegetables). I’ve been doing this for several years. More recent tests have shown that my cholesterol levels have dropped somewhat.
But my new doctor was adamant that I should start taking statins to lower my cholesterol levels. He confronted me about it twice, and each time I firmly refused. The whole matter seemed fishy to me. I knew that somebody was making a ton of money off of these medications. I knew that they were being heavily promoted in the media – and I was suspicious.
It’s not at all clear that cholesterol, even “bad” cholesterol, (LDL) is bad for us.  Dr. Shane Ellison has made a case that the benefits of cholesterol outweigh its risks. I recommend reading the article, though it’s somewhat long. Ellison is not alone; many others have questioned the premise that cholesterol (LDL) is our enemy, and that we should fight it with drugs.
Others opine that Low Density Lipids (LDL) are, indeed, a risk factor that needs to be addressed – but only when the patient is already suffering from heart disease. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, at The Huffington Post, makes this argument, and backs it up with several studies. He claims that millions of Americans are harming their health, and wasting their money, by taking cholesterol medication when it is not indicated at all.
In the pro-Lipitor camp, we find articles touting its benefits not only in combating heart disease, but also, in combination with Viagra, in relieving impotence. For example, in drugs.com we read:

Men with erectile dysfunction who do not experience symptom relief with Viagra (sildenafil) may have another option: A new study suggests Lipitor (atorvastatin) may improve men’s response to Viagra.

This is interesting… because a lot of people are claiming that Lipitor itself can cause erectile dysfunction (impotence). For example, here and here. We read on ehow:

According to the Mayo Clinic, Lipitor may cause difficulties in achieving or maintaining an erection. It may also trigger loss of sexual desire or drive.

I won’t be the first to point out, however, that the company that markets Viagra is the very same company that markets Lipitor: Pfizer.
That’s right. Pfizer markets a drug that is widely claimed to cause impotence – and it also markets a drug to treat that impotence. If you check the Lipitor official website, you will find a list of possible side effects. Conveniently, erectile dysfunction is not listed. I think Pfizer is not being on the up and up with us.
When your doctor speaks to you, he’s probably not lying. Most likely, he has your best interest in mind. But he may be swayed. I don’t claim to be an expert in the matter, but money talks. Lots of money talks a lot – and, in this case, we’re talking about a very large sum of money. I’ll conclude with a quote from Dr. Ellison:

With dollar signs in their eyes, drug companies have launched a massive fear campaign about cholesterol. Being led by the pharmaceutically-compliant National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP), the campaign convinced the entire world that LDL- cholesterol is bad and that total cholesterol levels should remain below 200 mg/dL in order to prevent heart disease. (Of the nine nerdy members of the NCEP, eight had financial ties to cholesterol lowering drug makers like Pfizer, Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and AstraZeneca. This fact was concealed when the NCEP made its recommendations public.)…
Pfizer’s blockbuster drug Lipitor became the first prescription drug to make more than $10 billion in annual sales. To date, Forbes Magazine tells us that statins are earning drug pushers $26 billion in annual sales – the equivalent of your lifetime income, plus 1500 others, every year! Think this can buy medical journals, ads and lobbying to push fear along with the cholesterol-lowering agenda?

Immigration hurts secessionist movements

Localism is a good thing. Greater autonomy for distinct regions generally leads to more liberty. Even if specific regions trample upon human rights, their smaller geographical area makes it easier for those who feel oppressed to move to another region.
All else being equal, a smaller state is usually comprised of fewer people and less cultural diversity. Less diversity means fewer special interest groups, which, in turn, means greater liberty for the individual. Today’s America is a relatively free country despite its diversity, not because of it.
When bad things happen, as they ultimately do, an organization (whether it be a company or a nation-state) will respond by creating more laws in order to prevent the misfortune from happening again. Over time, these laws become oppressive; they threaten the very foundation of liberty itself. Having more citizens/employees increases the frequency of bad things happening. Hence, the more people in said organization, the more laws will be created to protect them from misfortune. Smaller states, with less people, will thus have fewer laws and more individual liberty.
A region has a chance of winning its autonomy only if there is a certain amount of consensus within the region. In other words, only if there is a common sense of identity within that region. Hispanics/Mexicans identify, primarily, as “Hispanic/Mexican.” This is what I’ve seen. It’s what they, themselves, tell me. Others have similarly noted that Hispanics in Texas do not tend to identify with the South or Texas. Speaking of more recent arrivals, on the forum “CityData.com,  TexasReb writes:

No, what I mean is, and this is just personal experience and IMHO, that hispanic Texans (legal or not), do not, as a general rule, feel any Southern identity…and?…to take it further? A noteable percentage really don’t feel all that much “Texas” identity either. Perhaps because Texas IS essentially a Southern state and so much of the history and culture is at odds with their own ancestry and heritage…?

Not that “TexasReb”, or myself, are authorities on this matter. But the perception is that Hispanics identify as “Mexican” or “Hispanic,” and not so much as members of whatever local society they might happen to now find themselves in (with the exception of some long-established Southern Hispanic families). Absent evidence to the contrary, I’ll go with my own observations.
Rarely will 100% of a population support secession. Even during the American revolution, there was no clear consensus among Americans to secede from the British Empire. If 20% of the American colonies had been Hispanic, and receiving support and benefits from Britain, how might the War of Independence have played out?
Since secession requires a certain amount of local identity, and since today’s immigrants have their own identity, I would say that the influx of immigrants hurts secessionist movements. At best, it dilutes support for secessionist movements.
A case in point, anecdotal to be sure, was a recent hearing on the proposed state of Jefferson. According to Opposing Views:

The State of Jefferson, as it would be known, would be an amalgamation of rural counties focused on restoring limited, locally focused government at the state level that takes into account issues that effect the bucolic communities of which the state would consist.
On Tuesday, the Siskiyou County (Calif.) Board of Supervisors voted to support the county’s split from the state, in the presence of over 100 people who almost unanimously supported the secession.
Mark Baird, resident of Scott Valley, has been leading the movement to unite Northern Californian and Southern Oregonian counties as a new state, and insisted Tuesday “We have to have government that’s local, understands our issues and has empathy” for people like them…
Board Chair Ed Valenzuela was the sole vote against the declaration, arguing he was elected to solve problems within the syste, not undermine it.
”It comes down to because I took an oath. I took an oath when I ran for re-election, which I just did, and that was to uphold the Constitution, and uphold the constitution of the state of California,” he said. “And within that, and because knowing what it’s like to be a minority, I know the value of having to work from the other side without the numbers and without support. I signed on to do that, I signed on to work within the system I know. I don’t like it, I don’t agree with it all the time but at the same token, I did sign up for that and I will continue to do so.”

Thus, by diluting local identities, immigrants hurt the cause of liberty. How else do they hurt the cause of liberty?
They generally come from cultures where “Give me liberty or give me death” was not a founding principle. They often come from backward cultures that do not share our mores. For example, Human Stupidity recently wrote about a case where a British judge released a child rapist because, in his culture, such acts are not considered wrong. He writes:

18 year old Muslim immigrant Adil Rashid was convicted of statutory rape of a 13 year old girl he met on the internet.
When he went to be sentenced, he told Judge Michael Stokes that he didn’t know it was illegal. He said he attended private Muslim school in Britain and that they had not educated him on British law.
Stokes said that was good enough for him and freed the Rashid with no punishment. TopConservativeNews

Judge Stokes sentenced Rashid to nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, along with a two-year probation supervision order, instead of a more normal 5 year prison term.

Back in January, there was a profoundly disturbing case at Nottingham Crown Court. Adil Rashid, who had “raped” an underage girl, was spared a prison term after the judge heard that the naïve 18-year-old attended an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless. Rashid told psychologists he had no idea that having sex with a willing 13-year-old was against the law;

As immigrant-driven rapes increase in the Western world, we can expect ever more draconian anti-(statutory) rape laws, which will inevitably lead to innocents being prosecuted as well. Similarly, Mexicans don’t appear to consider drunk driving to be as serious a matter as do most Americans. As drunken Mexican immigrants continue to mow down Americans on our roads, ever more harsh anti-drunk driving laws will be passed in reaction. Innocents will be caught in this legal web.
In the past, immigrants were expected to give up their native cultures and assimilate. Most were eager to do so. But now they are encouraged to keep their own traditions. In the case of Hispanics, they’re even encouraged to keep their own language. All this leads to increased cultural diversity – which we are told is a good thing. To those who believe cultural diversity, in one geographical area, is a good thing, I suggest they study post-colonial sub-Saharan African history. Rwanda and Congo are good examples of what such diversity brings. Nigeria is another.

Three whites bully a black boy…

… and then the black boy gets rescued by a former marine. My initial impression is that there is more to this story than we’re being told. ABC news reports:

Jones’ instinct to protect kicked into overdrive when he stumbled upon three men bullying 14-year-old Zion Wright on Florida’s Juno Beach.
“Everything kind of escalated very quickly and all of a sudden I was kind of in the middle of a melee,” said Jones. “It was not just a situation i could just walk past.”
Wright’s own father said he tried to help.
“I see that these guys were not backing down, and I literally had to keep them at bay, and then I looked up and here was Mr. Jones,” Wright’s father, Leroy Wright.

Watch the video at the link above. It’s astounding that, apparently, no hate-crime charges are being considered. However, all three men are being charged with felonies. It’s possible that the three perps are just low-life scumbags with nothing better to do than beat up on a random 14-year-old boy. However, it’s also possible that something else was going on here. Something neither the authorities nor the media want us to know. A 14-year-old black boy is typically not like a 14-year-old white or Asian. Blacks mature faster, tend to be larger and more charged with testosterone. At this point, we can only guess what might have prompted such an attack.
