Reporting live from the 2012 Amren conference

I am sitting here among friends at the conference in Tennessee. We have a lot of people here, even though the location is rather remote. Lots of new faces and some old ones. The accommodations are very nice and the weather is fine. There are no protesters and the atmosphere is very friendly.
There are quite a few women attending and young people as well. Furthermore, There are even other Jews.

A black answer to black-on-white rape statistics

Some white people have trouble reading American rape statistics.
White commenters will say stuff like this:
Fact – blacks rape white women 2000 (yes 2000) times more than whites rape black women.
or this:
In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man.
They back this up with the infamous Table 40 or 42 of the US Department of Justice’s yearly “Criminal Victimization in the United States, Statistical Tables”.
Here are the latest numbers for black-and-white rapes from Table 42:

Rape/sexual assault (a), Race of victim:

  • White only 117,640: perceived race of offender: 74.9% white, 16.4%* black
  • Black only 46,580: perceived race of offender: 0.0%* white, 74.8%* black

The star means “Estimate is based on 10 or fewer sample cases.”
So if you take 16.4% of the 117,640 white women raped in 2008 that gives you 19,286 white women raped by black men! That means that even if as many as ten white men raped  black women that year, the highest number allowed by the table, blacks rape white women 1,927 (yes 1,927) times more than whites rape black women.
So our commenters seem to be pretty much right.
Well, no:
Misreading #1: The numbers are not about “rape” but “rape and sexual assault (a)”. Sexual assault means any kind of unwanted sexual touching, like groping or kissing. And the “(a)” means “Includes verbal threats of rape and threats of sexual assault”. So it is way more than just rape. Rape is probably just a small part of it.
Misreading #2: Notice that the star meaning “ten or fewer” applies not just to white-on-black “rape and sexual assault (a)” but to black-on-white cases too! So if we claim that ten or fewer black women were raped by white men then we should also say that ten or fewer white women were raped by black men!
Misreading #3: The star means “Estimate is based on 10 or fewer sample cases”, the key word here being “sample”. They did not ask everyone in the country but a sample of 77,852 people, about one in 4,000. So there could have been as many as 40,000 black women raped by white men that year!
Misreading #4: The reason for the star is because ten or fewer sample cases are way too few to draw any firm statistical conclusions. Mere chance could throw the numbers way off.
As it turns out, of the 77,852 people surveyed, only 56 people reported “rape and sexual assault (a)”. According to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) only 7.5% of sexual assaults are rapes and of those only 6.7% are between whites and blacks. So out of the 56 sample cases, maybe only 4 were rape and of those probably none were interracial.
So this is a case of white people seeing what they want to see, of misreading facts to fit racist stereotypes.

Destructure says that Abagond is an intelligent man. This may be so; plenty of white liberals are intelligent too – and, as Jared Taylor has pointed out, this is how they manage to perform the mental gymnastics they do.
Most of the comments on that thread seem to be based on the belief that government statistics are skewed in favor of whites, and that the powers that be wish to show blacks in a bad light. If this were the case, then why would the government count Hispanics as “white” when they are perpetrators, but as “Hispanic” when they are victims? Clearly, they are trying to make whites look worse.
I won’t waste time debunking Abagond’s claims above. It’s enough to point out his claim that a sample size of over 77,000 is not enough. That every single case would have to be analyzed in order to achieve reliable statistics. The flaws in his argument are obvious, and what we have here is bitterness, not objectivity.
There was one comment, by a woman called Stacy, that caught my eye:

one thing i will say is that bw may be a little too street smart to be raped by wm. i remember as young girl growing up from about nine to seventeen, while walking to the store, white men always summoning me to get into their car. of course, we black girls already knew that wm were perverts and we would never even dream about getting into a car with one of them.

Would a rapist summon his victims into his car like that? More likely the white men in question were looking for prostitutes and they figured, correctly or not, that black girls would be more likely to accommodate them. Commercial sex was probably what they were after, not rape. I also wonder if Stacy never had black men summoning her to get in their cars. Perhaps this was so common she didn’t even take notice; it was the white ones who stuck out in her mind. Since she had no interest in them, they would have been “perverts” in her eyes. It seems to be the rule among women that the advances of an attractive man are “flattering”, while the advances of an unattractive man are “perverse”.

Those of you who have not yet seen it, for whatever reason, are encouraged to click on over there and watch the video. Share it with family and friends too.
For the time being, it looks like the entire website is devoted to the video. Perhaps, over time, more content will be added.

My love affair with mushrooms

I’ve always loved mushrooms. A pizza sans mushrooms is not a pizza in my eyes. I eat them with salad, with fish, with poultry and even by themselves. Imagine that; a grown man eating mushrooms by themselves – peeling them with his teeth before finishing them off. Yes, they are fun to eat.
Later in life I discovered the joys of sauteed Portobello mushrooms. Not only are they delicious, but they exude a most heavenly aroma, even if you saute them in nothing more than butter.

One of the saddest events in my life involved some freshly picked mushrooms I had purchased from a street vendor along the forests of western Ukraine. I bought them, wrapped them up and told myself I’d eat them upon my return to the U.S. About a month later I took them out to eat – and they had gone bad. I nearly gauged my eyes out in anguish and nothing could comfort me – until I ate one of those special mushrooms in the Netherlands. That was nice, and it tasted good too.
I’m not a bigot when it comes to mushrooms. I’ll eat them regardless of size, color or shape as long as they’re edible.
Some day I might take on a sidekick:  Fungusamongus.

Affirmative action for 911 dispatchers

As if being directly victimized by black and Hispanic crime isn’t enough, Americans are also dying due to incompetent 911 dispatchers. A 2009 Readers Digest article recounts several tragic stories where the result of such incompetence was death:

One afternoon in January 2008, Nathan Lee returned home from work to find his two little boys crammed into the same crib, crying. Their mother had left behind her cell phone and purse and disappeared. Within a couple of hours, police in her southwest Florida town had a pretty good idea of what had happened to Denise Amber Lee. She’d been spotted tied up with rope—had even managed to briefly call 911—while in the backseat of a car owned by a 36-year-old unemployed plumber named Michael King.
Around 6:30 that evening, a woman placed an urgent call to 911 reporting the precise location of King’s Camaro. It had pulled up alongside her car at a traffic light, and she could see someone crying out for help and banging on the back window. (She thought it was a child.) Just a few miles away, police were desperately searching for Denise with dogs and a helicopter.
But tragically, the 911 center never passed along the motorist’s report. One officer later told Denise’s father he was “sure” the Camaro had driven right by him, but no one had told him to watch out for it. The next time anyone saw Denise Lee was a few days later. She was lying naked in a shallow grave; she’d been sexually assaulted and shot. “There is no doubt in my mind that if the 911 call had been handled properly, she would still be here,” Nathan Lee says. “It will haunt me for the rest of my life.”
If there’s one thing we think we can count on, it’s that a frantic call to 911 will bring a swift and effective response. Government’s first priority, after all, is protecting its citizens. But a spate of recent cases reveal shocking flaws in our national emergency response system—at a cost measured in lives. It’s a system overstressed by boneheaded calls about everything from hangnails to poor restaurant service, weakened by state governments raiding its funds, and hobbled by the incompetence of a few bad apples.
“You roll the dice” when making a call for emergency help, admits Ronald Bonneau, who runs a 911 center 30 miles south of Chicago. “Frankly, there are centers out there where the operators are not very well trained.”

The article includes a link where readers can hear the audio recordings of those calls. Actually, you can’t hear the calls; what you get, when you click the links, is “We’re sorry, but the page you’re looking for can’t be found.”
The Readers Digest article brings up a serious problem – but does its best to hide the racial angle from its readers. Like all other government jobs, 911 dispatcher positions are held to strict affirmative action “goals”. In other words, non-whites get preference and blacks are probably very much overrepresented. I say “probably” because such statistics are hard to come by. It is well-known that blacks are greatly overrepresented in government jobs in general, and if you apply for a job as a dispatcher, you’re likely to find this at the bottom of the application:
Obviously, the Affirmative Action Officer is not looking for white males. His goal is to authorize as many “minorities” and females as possible. Hiring a black female kills two birds with one stone. Here’s one in action:

A Google image search for “emergency dispatcher” yields results that would have us believe that almost all dispatchers are white. The same is true of “airline pilot”. This is probably because companies and agencies want to project an image of safety and reliability where customers cannot choose their specific providers.
There is no way of knowing how many people have lost their lives due to affirmative action in 911 dispatcher hiring. One wonders how many of those victims were whites who were murdered by “people of color” while other “people of color” mishandled their call for help. “Diversity” truly is a weapon of mass destruction.
If you call 911 and get an ebonics speaker, you might consider hanging up and trying again. Better yet, carry a gun and don’t depend on 911 for your safety.

Do-gooders set dangerous precedent

Some friends shared this video with me. It’s a fairly long video so I’ll save you the trouble, if you don’t want to watch it, by providing a summary: It argues that we should make Joseph Kony “famous” by plastering his name all over the world so that influential people will force the U.S. government to take action and enable his arrest.
This Kony character appears to be a very evil man. He kidnaps children for use as soldiers and sex slaves. He forces them to murder their own parents and mutilate their peers. The video presents shocking images depicting the damage caused by this one individual.
I told my friends that, although it seemed like a worthy cause, the activists were playing with fire by making pacts with the devil. Assuming that there is, indeed, an ongoing campaign of atrocities being committed by Kony and his henchmen, I wholeheartedly agree that the man should be stopped and brought to justice. No child should have to endure the pain shown on this video and no child should have to see his brother murdered or live in fear. I agree that people should work to eradicate such crimes against humanity.
But there are serious problems with this proposed campaign. First of all, getting the U.S. government involved in overseas affairs is a risky proposition at best. Obama just sent some military advisers to Uganda. Didn’t Vietnam begin, for the U.S., as merely a deployment of military advisors? I do not trust the Federal government to solve such crises. Only a fool would believe that the U.S. government would get involved in such an enterprise without unforeseen consequences. The best solution would be for non-governmental agencies to pool resources and either support the government of Uganda in apprehending this man, or capture him using volunteer forces. Our government has no jurisdiction in Uganda.
Secondly, by creating a network of international do-gooders, who wield the power of armed force, we have the makings of a one-world government – or more accurately, “international mob rule”. In this case, the target is clearly a criminal, but nobody can guarantee that future targets will be just as clearly evil. Once a “Facebook world government” is formed, it will seek new justifications for its existence. It will target more dubious “criminals” – such as those who deal in recreational drugs, purvayors of pornography, money-launderers and “racists”. This is a slippery slope. It does not take an expert in history to see what it can lead to; we should be wary.
Unfortunately, many people believe that one possible solution to the problem is to bring these “invisible children” to the U.S. They don’t understand that people can be victims of brutality but, at the same time, carriers of the same cultural flaws that allowed it in the first place. The abduction of children is not an isolated incident of brutality in Africa. There is much evil in Africa, as the constant flow of emigrants attests to. To bring the “invisible children” here is to import the potential for such atrocities in our own neighborhoods. By all means help them if you wish – but help them in their home countries. This cause has the potential of being just another excuse for massive immigration from Africa (under the guise of “refugee resettlement”) and just another excuse to spread Africa all over the world.
I am not an expert on Uganda, but at least one Ugandan is challenging the version of events depicted in said video. My gut feeling is that, if Ugandans have so much time to worry about such causes as punishing homosexuals with death, they’re probably not living in a state of trauma from child kidnappings. Perhaps the AIDS business is running out of steam and somebody needs another source of wealth, as the young Ugandan lady in the above video implies.

Two recent waves of violence, courtesy of "diversity"

An American service member allegedly murdered 16 Afghan civilians in their homes. According to AP:

BALANDI, Afghanistan (AP) — President Hamid Karzai said a U.S. service member killed 16 people — nine of them children and three women — in a shooting spree Sunday that he condemned as “an assassination.”

Karzai demanded an explanation from the United States, adding new tensions to a relationship already severely strained over Americans burning Muslim holy books on a base in Afghanistan. The burnings sparked violent protests and attacks that left some 30 people dead. Six U.S. service members have been killed in attacks by their Afghan colleagues since the Quran burnings came to light, but the violence has just started to calm down.

“This is an assassination, an intentional killing of innocent civilians and cannot be forgiven,” Karzai said in a statement. He said he has repeatedly demanded the U.S. stop killing Afghan civilians.

American forces should not be in Afghanistan. Military occupation is a form of “diversity”, no less so than forced school “desegregation” or mass immigration. When you force people of different cultures/races together, inevitably some of them will die as a result. We don’t yet know the details of this latest atrocity, but there is little doubt that “cultural misunderstanding” played a part. There is also little doubt that Muslims throughout the world will protest loudly – something we don’t see them do when it is Muslims killing “infidels”.
The Associated Press also tells us of a rash of “EMO” murders in Iraq:

BAGHDAD (AP) — Young people who identify themselves as so-called Emos are being brutally killed at an alarming rate in Iraq, where militias have distributed hit lists of victims and security forces say they are unable to stop crimes against the subculture that is widely perceived in Iraq as being gay.

Officials and human rights groups estimated as many as 58 Iraqis who are either gay or believed to be gay have been killed in the last six weeks alone — forecasting what experts fear is a return to the rampant hate crimes against homosexuals in 2009. This year, eyewitnesses and human rights groups say some of the victims have been bludgeoned to death by militiamen smashing in their skulls with heavy cement blocks.

Mesopotamia is, for the most part, a conservative collection of nations. Forcing those nations together, into one political unit called “Iraq” has been a great misfortune for them. The mixing of Kurds and Arabs, Sunni and Shia, has been an underlying cause for the loss of countless lives for decades. Now alien Western cultural fads are being inserted into the mix. Needless to say, many Iraqis do not appreciate America’s cultural invasion; the military one is bad enough. Some of those Iraqis react the same way white blood cells react to infections in the blood: They attack the infection and try to eliminate it.
Homosexuals should not be hunted down and killed, but “EMO” must surely represent far more than homosexuality to those who oppose it. To dress like that publicly, in Iraq, must be tantamount to flying the enemy flag. It is a form of diversity and, in today’s context, it is an imposed diversity.
Since there is official recognition of anti-homosexual violence in Muslim countries, what should be the solution? As a nation, the U.S. should say “It’s not our problem.” It is not our job to identify every persecuted minority on Earth and then import them here. Doing so will only create hundreds of “persecuted minorities” within our own borders. Instead, private organizations should try to find solutions in those countries. They should work with local sympathizers to set aside safe havens for targeted people. Efforts to protect the albinos of Tanzania could serve as a model, though it is not a perfect one.

New pro-white online forum

Somebody contacted me about a new pro-white forum. It’s called Occidental Enclave and here is how its founder (or one of its founders) describes it:

We’ve recently established a white interests/advocacy/issues forum with the intention of addressing the credibility hemorrhages within the broader “WN” narrative/platform, such as infantile Jew conspiracy theories and general Jew obsessionism, and/or Hitler fetishism, among other things.  Some of us felt that, for us to make any meaningful progress, that we have to distance ourselves from these elements within the community so as to make a visible distinction between our camp and theirs; mainstream whites will simply never associate themselves with such elements.  Unfortunately, most forums in the community (like stormfront, skadi, etc.) are filled with this element, and the sensible members are either shouted down or become unwelcome.  So, I had the notion to make a community with the intent to consolidate all the non kook/fringe into a community of their own.

I haven’t had enough time to explore it yet. I’ll check it out in the next few days – and nothing’s stopping the rest of y’all from beating me to it.

A good comment by another "Jay"

American Renaissance recently had an article about the 13 year old white student, in Kansas City, who was doused with gasoline and set alight by racist black children. The black children said “This is what you deserve.  You get what you deserve, white boy” as they assaulted him.
Here is a portion of Jay11’s comment:

I teach in an ‘urban’ high school.  Although it’s not as bad as my previous school where anti-white propaganda was the norm DAILY, still ALL the ‘English’ teachers and most of the History teachers have a ‘civil rights’ (anti-white) curriculum.  It is sickening.  Everything is Marcus Garvey this, Langston Hughes that, MLK this or white privilege that.  ALL THE TIME.
I am not joking.  EVERY selection in the English teachers’ rooms are of black writers.  One teacher tried to do an obscure Shakespeare play once, but gave it up because it was too hard — for her!  Jamaica Cincaide, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison et al.  That’s all they get.
Three years ago I was sitting in the black of a classroom grading papers while an ‘English’ teacher (who I shared the class with) was teaching her (all black and latino) students.  The anti-white things she said made me physically ill.  She was talking like a black preacher (in that tone and style) and railing against white people and how they always oppress black people.  After half an hour I couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave.  I was supposed to be teaching those same students the very next period.  How could I, a pasty-faced white dude, stand there and ask them to take me seriously after they were indoctrinated to hate me because of my race?  I did my job, but I could sense the undercurrent of defiance…
Those of us who do not depend on the “mainstream” media for our news know that similar atrocities are committed against whites, by black and Hispanics, every day. We are aware that these ongoing attacks are met with silence by all but local newspapers and television stations. We know that these attacks are typically described as “not racially-motivated” (AKA “random”) and we know that, whenever possible, the race of the perpetrators is concealed. In short, we know that the media encourages such violence.
One of the limits of freedom of speech is when the speech in question incites violence. Jay11 was fortunate that he was not physically attacked. If he were, part of the blame could certainly be laid at the feet of the “English teacher” who filled the heads of her students with anti-white animus. Though Jay11 escaped physical harm, who knows how many others have fallen victim to “random” crimes committed by those students in later years.
Though we cannot justifiably ban all anti-white speech, indoctrinating impressionable children with anti-white hate might constitute “incitement to violence”.
For sheer magnitude, and viciousness, the anti-white vitriol of the Left has no peer – except, perhaps, the anti-Jewish rants of neo-Nazis. If ever there was a case to be made for “hate-speech” laws, it would be the lives lost and ruined by speech such as that of the above “English teacher”.
