Why are teen pregnancy rates rising?

In The Statesman Journal, Ruth Liao writes:

Teen pregnancy rates in the Mid-Valley are rising at an alarming rate, at a time when Oregon’s statewide average is declining. It’s difficult to determine why teen pregnancy rates are high (my emphasis). But Marion County’s teen pregnancy rate has been persistently greater than the state average; since 2003, Marion County’s teen pregnancy rate has been on an upward trend.
Actually, it is not very difficult to determine the reason for this trend.  Anybody can see, watching the accompanying video, that most of these teen mothers are Hispanic.
According to Marion County’s official website, 80% of Marion County’s population growth is Hispanic.  That same article also mentions that Hispanics do poorly in school and therefore earn less money than their white counterparts.  It is a fact that Hispanics (specifically Mestizo Hispanics) have an overall negative impact on society.  So it should be no surprise that large numbers of Hispanics would cause teen pregnancy rates to increase.
Using a government source, I composed a crude map showing the incidence of teen pregnancy in Oregon counties.  Unfortunately, the latest data they had was from 1998:
Now let us compare a similar map showing the Hispanic share of the population:

The top two are a pretty good match even though there are obviously other factors that contribute to teen pregnancy and there is a ten year disparity between the maps.  Population compositions may easily have shifted.  But there is certainly a correlation.
The standard leftist answer to the above is that poor people naturally suffer from social pathologies more than their more affluent compatriots.  Since Hispanics are disproportionately poor, they also tend to have more teen pregnancies.  According to the leftist theory, the lower map should match up, pretty closely, to the top map.  As a matter of fact, there appears to be no correlation, whatsoever, between the upper and lower maps.  The greatest correlation is between the upper and the middle maps.
As one may expect, the Statesman Journal has been censuring comments that point out the obvious.  Those of us who are not burdened by political correctness may freely discuss the matter and draw our own conclusions  – while those still mired in the dark ages wring their hands and struggle with “difficulties” while trying to comprehend their world.

Airport screenings

As the upcoming American Renaissance conference approaches, my excitement grows.  But along with the excitement, a sense of foreboding increasingly clouds my soul.  Government assurances that their new x-ray machines are perfectly safe mean little to me.  They have no credibility.  I am in good company, as many have raised serious doubts regarding their safety.  But safety is not my only concern.  Like so many others, I find the process humiliating.
As for the alternative, being patted down, I do not find that very appealing either.  I simply do not relish the idea of another man fondling my privates.  But not to worry; Obama says he “understands people’s frustrations“.  How comforting!  Of course, he has never subjected himself to the same indignity.
The T.S.A. makes sure that passengers are patted down only by people of the same gender.  I wonder why this is so.  Many of us men would be far more cooperative if we were patted down by lovely young ladies.  As a matter of fact, such a policy would probably greatly increase the ranks of air travelers.  Clearly, they wish to avoid any semblance of sexual gratification.   But, for a homosexual man, what more appealing a job is there than patting down other men.  Each morning, he would eagerly look forward to work.
What are the odds that many of those T.S.A. agents are homosexual?  Of course we have no statistics because they are not allowed to ask.  It is illegal to discriminate against them.  By the same token, is it not also illegal to grope people against their will?  What if the man doing the patting down was obviously homosexual and what if he was obviously enjoying himself?  I seriously doubt even the T.S.A. would allow him to perform this task.  So they make it less obvious – and somehow this is considered okay.
What about an obviously homosexual passenger who clearly wishes to be patted down?
Many, in our society, work tirelessly so that homosexuals may be officially recognized.  These people want government to recognize homosexual marriage, homosexual civil rights, homosexual pride and even adoption.  I wonder how those advocates feel about homosexual groping at airports.  How do they explain the difference between a male T.S.A. agent groping a female passenger and a homosexual male T.S.A. agent groping a male passenger?
I am still considering my options if I end up being confronted with a choice between being x-rayed or molested.  Somebody suggested that arriving in a speedo would be a good option.  That way, the agents can see everything without having to actually touch.  Could I arrive at airport security in a speedo without getting booted from the airport?  Or perhaps I could pretend to be homosexual and act as if I am truly excited about the whole process.  I could even point to a likely T.S.A. agent and say, “I want to be patted down by him!”  Then I could pretend to enjoy every moment of it.  Would they arrest me for that?  What if that T.S.A. agent actually found me attractive?  Perish the thought!

Traffic tickets

I had the misfortune, recently, of being issued a citation for turning on a yellow light.  In this city, yellow is considered the same as red for this purpose.  Go figure.  Now I am several hundred dollars poorer.  Here, I am assuming a minarchist approach, assuming that we are stuck with government traffic laws.
But I am not here to moan and groan over my misfortune.  I simply wish to call attention to the injustice of traffic tickets as they are administered in the U.S.  For a person who earns  hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, a $400 fine is a minor inconvenience.  For a single parent living one minimum wage, that same fine would be catastrophic.  His children would suffer for it.  Also, a person who barely gets by might not be able to afford insurance or keep the registration up to date.  In that case, he may end up losing his car – and, along with it, his means of earning a livelihood.  Two extreme examples, to be sure, but the fact remains that fixed fines necessarily punish the poor more than they punish the rich.  Supposedly, government strives to be even-handed.
In Finland, the amount of the fine is based upon the victim’s income.  This seems like a much more fair system than what we have in the U.S.  But it does have problems of its own.  A sliding scale involves the government knowing how much money each citizen earns – and this should be none of its business.  Perhaps a better solution would be to base the fine upon the estimated value of the car being driven.  One drawback to this would be that people might buy very cheap cars for the express purpose of driving irresponsibly.  This would surely cause many needless deaths and injuries.  Another drawback is that traffic cops would focus mainly on fancy cars, so much so that few would want to drive them.   It would also severely harm the auto industry and it would unjustly target the wealthy.  This system would have to be coupled with criminal charges against repeat offenders and oversight to help prevent abuse.
Like so many other government programs, there can be no fairness unless so many safeguards, stipulations and oversights are added that it becomes too complex to ever work properly.  In our quest to make traffic tickets “fair”, they would become as convoluted as the I.R.S. tax code.  Nobody would understand them and we would all have to hire expensive attorneys to defend us – who would charge more than the initial fine itself.

American Planning Association

There is never a dearth of bad news for pro-white bloggers to write about.  We simply do not have “slow news days”.  All we have to do is open any newspaper or magazine and within seconds we find anti-white propaganda staring us back in the face.  Often enough, it is interesting enough to write about.
But not this time.  Forbes Magazine just ran an article describing America’s ten greatest neighborhoods according to the American Planning Association (APA).  To my delight, the word “diversity” appeared only once:

In Boston the affluent Back Bay neighborhood, which contains Victorian brownstones and some of the city’s tallest skyscrapers, is another favorite (though not without some controversy due to the architectural diversity of the area, says an APA spokesman).

How refreshing!  The word “vibrant” appears twice – but without any reference to ethnic diversity.  On the contrary, the…

… committee of four examines several aspects of a neighborhood, including its sense of community and overall composition, its local character and environment and sustainability practices.

I have no idea what they mean by “overall composition”, but ethnically diverse neighborhoods are not known for their sense of of community, local character or sustainability practices.  This is due to the fact that an ethnically diverse neighborhood is simply a location where several communities coexist.  In order for it to be a single community, the various components would have to assimilate – losing its ethnic diversity in the process.  The greater its ethnic diversity, the less community cohesion there will be.  Of course there can be communities of various distinct ethnic groups that get along well and work together – but this can only be short-lived; absent rivalry and animosity, those groups will eventually melt into each other.
Could it be that groups like the APA are starting to recognize the above obvious truths?  Could it be that the iron fist of diversity is finally starting to rust?

Thank you WordPress!

This blog has been up the better part of a year.  I like to think that many have benefited from it.  I certainly have!  Not to worry; I am not closing the blog.  I simply wanted to write what I have been thinking since the beginning and express my heartfelt thanks to the people at WordPress.  Though I realize that their motives are probably not entirely altruistic, this does not absolve me of the duty to express my gratitude.
In these days of political correctness where “hate-crime” legislation is on the rise, it is refreshing to see people of influence actually defending freedom of speech.  This is from WordPress’ “abuse” page:

We suspend blogs or blog posts for the following types of abuse:

  • Personal threats
  • Calls to violence
  • Impersonation of a private person

We will not suspend blogs for other reasons you might find objectionable. For example, we don’t suspend blogs for expressing negative personal opinions, for describing a negative experience they have had with a business, or for being generally offensive (see this section on freedom of speech for more information). Instead of asking us to suspend such a blog, please consider either responding in the blog’s comments or on your own blog/site to set the record straight, by simply ignoring the issue (blogs that use insults and bad language tend to have low credibility and low traffic in the first place), or by seeking a court order against the blog.

At some point this blog might reach a certain threshold of either volume of content or traffic where paid services are necessary.  If/when this happens, I fully intend to continue to use WordPress’ services.  I realize that, as it stands now, the comment format and posting options are somewhat limited.  But, for the price, who can complain?

Coal-burners/mudsharks

The establishment Left, and the masses whose opinions they control, would have us believe that there is no rhyme or reason when it comes to interracial relationships.  In their world, love is colorblind and observations to the contrary are not welcome.
I have already expounded on this fallacy elsewhere, as have others.  So the aim of this post is not to reiterate the obvious.  Instead, I want to point out that every common phenomenon has a name and every group of people, that engages in recognized trends, has a name.  White women who lust after black men have a name: “Coal-burners”.  Granted, there is probably a name for white men who lust after black women as well – but most people would have to look it up, considering how unusual it is.
The establishment Left, and the coal-burners themselves, would tell us that the term “coal-burner” is a slur, vulgar and outside of civilized parlance.  They might rather we use the term “white chicks who dig black dudes” or something else just as convoluted.
It seems to me that there should be nothing offensive about either “coal” or “burning”, except, perhaps, to an environmentalist worried about carbon footprints.  The reason they find the term offensive is simply because there is a term for it.  Even if we called them “flower-kissers” or “stocking-wearers” or any other random combination of words, the term would still be “offensive” – because it recognizes that there is a lack of randomness in racial pairings.  It brings attention to the fact that coal-burners are part of a larger agenda.  By extension, it also implies that these women are being manipulated – in other words, they are not masters of their own free will.
Some have suggested that coal-burners prefer black men because they are, supposedly, superior to other men in some ways.  Ironically, it is those same women who typically claim that race is only skin-deep.  They do not see the contradiction between their words and their actions; if race is only skin-deep, then why the preference for men of one skin color over another?  If race is more than skin-deep, then aversion is just as legitimate as preference – just as some prefer cats over dogs while others hold the opposite opinion.  We cannot have it both ways; if there is something to like, then there is also something to dislike.
As for those supposed traits that make black men desirable, it is a fact that coal-burners will ignore those same traits in a white man.  Their attraction to black men cannot be explained by them (with any credibility) in any rational manner.  But must people always have rational reasons for being attracted to others?  Of course not – but, in this case, they are being manipulated for nefarious reasons.  One could just about call it “rape”.

Know your place, white boy!

Those in power have not neglected any aspect of American life, when it comes to imposing their racial hierarchy upon us.  Within that hierarchy, blacks are on top – and they remind us of this caste system at every opportunity.  It is pervasive at schools, government agencies, the military, all large corporations and even organized religion.
Here is a frame from a training program used to familiarize employees with certain safety procedures in the manufacturing/industrial sector:

Those who read this blog already know who the “qualified” employee is – without even reading what each one’s knowledge level is.  When I first encountered this exercise, some time back, I knew the answer right away as well.  I knew that teaching us safety procedures was not the only goal of this presentation.  The secondary goal – reminding the white man of his subordinate role – always lurks beneath the surface.  Sometimes, this latter goal is clearly the primary one.

Conservative affirmative action

I used to listen to the Ken Hamblin radio show.  He called himself “The Black Avenger” and he was a big hit.  He would say the things, on behalf of whites, that whites wished they could say for themselves – but would not, for fear of getting in trouble.  He could say these things because he was black.

I was fond of Ken and I even saw him face to face a couple of times, though I never liked the fact that his wife was white.  Was he not comfortable with his own heritage or perhaps he was simply a user of white people, with the wife being simply a trophy in his eyes?  I never asked; it would have been impolite.

At one of the get togethers he organized, he gave out certificates of absolution:

Another point I never brought up to him was that, had he been white, he probably would never have made it in talk radio, nor would his pro-white talk ever have been tolerated on the air waves.  In other words, he was a beneficiary of affirmative action.

Ken is not the only non-white to have benefited from conservative affirmative action.  Michelle Malkin probably falls into this category as do Brigitte Gabrielle and Larry Elder.  Non-white Republican politicians do not usually fall into this category since they are typically opportunists with no code of ethics.  They are not true conservatives.

Far be it from me to question Ken’s sincerity.  I never had any reason to question it.  Only he can know if his heart is true.  What matters for the rest of us is that he said things that needed to be said and he was probably instrumental in bringing many whites to their senses.

In the previous post, I spoke of a symbiotic relationship that exists between intelligent black men and their white admirers.  Here, we may have another such arrangement.  White conservatives, who live on the margins of racial consciousness, benefit from non-white conservatives like Ken because the latter give voice to the truths they sense but dare not say.  In return, those conservatives are given a livelihood and a reputation.

It is a sad commentary on our condition that only “people of color” are allowed to publicly advocate for whites.  It is clear evidence that whites are a persecuted class.  Are things starting to change for the better?  There are signs that this might be so – but white advocates have been saying “revolution is just around the corner” for decades, and we still wait.

For the time being, we are like trapped minors in a mineshaft.  We hang our hopes on any glimmer of light, even if it turns out to be merely phosphorescent microbes or sparks from one rock striking another.  We cling to anything that might give us hope, because this is what humans do when they have little else to comfort them.

The exalted intelligent Negro

This is going to be one of the more difficult posts I have attempted, for the observation I shall try to convey is neither scientific nor by any means universal.  It is not my intention to offend -but putting this into words is almost like trying to grasp fog in ones hands.
All the above being said, the average I.Q. is lower for blacks than it is for most other races.  At the moment, it does not concern us why this is so, whether the causes are nature or nurture or a combination of the two.  But the fact remains that there are still some unusually intelligent black men.  For whatever reasons, the phenomenon I am about to describe does not seem to apply as much to black women but mainly to black men.
It would be fair to assume that most unusually bright children recognize, fairly early, that their minds are superior to the minds of their peers.  As children, it is only natural that they would take on a certain haughtiness as a result; children are not known for their modesty.  This would apply even more so to an unusually bright black child, especially when he is growing up among other blacks.
I have noticed that many of these bright black children do not lose their haughtiness as they mature.  As the bright black boy grows older, and as his distinctiveness becomes ever more obvious, this young man seems to take on a god-like demeanor.  The whites in his life, being unaccustomed to such an intelligent black, shower him with affection and approbation.  They find, in his person, salvation from their (supposed) ingrained racial bigotry.  Inwardly they view him as a tool, to be pulled out of their leftist tool kit when necessary, that allows them to say, “I’ve known some very intelligent blacks.”  Thus, the intelligent young black develops a symbiotic relationship with his white flock.  He fills a valuable niche in their leftist psyche while they feed his ego, provide for his livelihood, happiness, sexual desires and social advancement.
We do not find a similar phenomenon with highly intelligent Asians; Asians are expected to be smart.  Leftist whites have no emotional need to proclaim, “I’ve known some very intelligent Asians”; the “smart Asian” is not a tool they will ever need in their leftist tool-kit.  The same applies to Jews and, of course, to whites in general.
What are the ramifications, to a developing young man, when he is regularly put on a pedestal?  The results will, of course, vary.  But there is no denying that many of these bright black men will end up full of themselves.  Such an individual will be ever conscious of his intellectual prowess and he will project it in subtly ostentatious ways.  Frequently, he will over-estimate the power of his own intellect and he will believe that he has truly earned the prestigious position he holds – even though affirmative action (both official and informal) has ensured his every advance*.  He often acquires a certain manner of speaking and certain facial expressions that are worthy of his majestic station in life.  After all, he is the exalted intelligent negro.
* In a perfect world, such an individual would probably succeed on his own.  In today’s America, whites are so ridden with guilt (and so desperate to show they are not racist) that he will probably never even have the opportunity to succeed on his own before he is swept up to fill such a role.  He is a valuable commodity that government and corporations are willing to bid and fight over.
