I’ve lost count of the times people have told me that Fox News and Breitbart are not reliable news sources – and yet the Communist News Network (CNN) is. As a matter of fact, even as I type this, the WordPress spellchecker underlined “Breitbart,” indicating it’s not a recognized word, but gave no such alert for “CNN.” My Android text program autocompletes for CNN, but not for Breitbart. When I type “CN” into Google, it autocompletes to “CNN,” but when I type in “Breit,” this is what I get:
The Microsoft News feed includes headlines from Fox News, and one headline caught my eye:

Some mothers of Black sons and daughters killed by police officers are criticizing the Black Lives Matter national organization amid controversy over co-founder Patrisse Cullors’ lavish lifestyle.
“It’s all a facade,” Samaria Rice, the mother of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was killed by a White police officer in Cleveland in 2014, told the New York Post on Saturday.
Rice said she requested Cullors’ help in re-launching a federal investigation into her son’s death. But short of exchanging a few emails, her pleas never garnered face time with the Black Lives Matter executive director.
“They are benefiting off the blood of our loved ones, and they won’t even talk to us,” Rice said.
Breitbart had a similar story, titled Tamir Rice’s Mother Rips Black Lives Matter: ‘F**k a Grammy, My Son Is Dead.’
Granted, Samaria Rice, Tamir Rice’s mother, is not very eloquent, but it seems to me that this story is newsworthy. The New York Post, Fox and Breitbart certainly thought so. It’s newsworthy because practically every major US corporation donated to BLM, because it’s become an integral part of official government ideology, and because taxpayer dollars are being spent on BLM propaganda. It’s also important because, regardless of what we think of BLM, a mother’s loss was exploited for personal gain.
But it doesn’t appear that CNN agrees. A glance at the CNN home page reveals a headline, at the very top, that shrieks:
… Inside the Oakwood Cafe that morning, 78-year-old Phil Neff, who supported Trump, paid for his breakfast amid the morning bustle. Afterward, he told CNN he believes that Greene “has more interest in herself than serving the community,” but added with a note of resignation: “That’s what the people chose.”
Who the hell is Phil Neff, and why is his opinion so important? It’s certainly no more important than the opinion of the mother of Tamir Rice, whose name pops up scores of times on CNN’s website, and whose face graces numerous headlines.
And yet it looks like CNN is completely ignoring Samaria Rice’s comments. If this isn’t selective reporting, I don’t know what is.
