Trump Gets Sued. What About CNN?

The Chinese American Civil Rights Coalition is suing ex-President Trump for “defamation and emotional distress.” From Business Insider:

The civil rights group is arguing that Trump’s use of derogatory terms for the coronavirus has led to a rise in violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, TMZ reported.

The former president has famously used terms such as the “Chinese Virus,” “China Virus,” “Wuhan Flu,” and “Kung Flu,” to describe COVID-19.

The Chinese American Civil Rights Coalition is suing Trump for roughly $22.9 million, or $1 for every Asian American and Pacific Islander living in the United States, TMZ said.

It will be up to the courts to determine whether the use of such terms actually caused this uptick in violence, but considering the fact that most of the recent violent attacks on Asians have been perpetrated by blacks, this seems unlikely. To the best of my knowledge, none of the hoodlums were wearing MAGA hats, and none of them said anything to indicate that Trump encouraged them.

If the use of unflattering terms, toward an ethnic group, is grounds for a lawsuit, then CNN should be sued:

Don Lemon: The biggest terror threat in this country is white men.

Chris Cuomo: Police reform comes when ‘white people kids start getting killed.’

Van Jones: It Is Too Late for White People to Be Innocent.

John Blake: How ‘good White people’ derail racial progress.

Jess Row: White people, in our way, are experts on racism. We know it because we practice it, implement it and benefit from it.

Lauren Kent: When Europeans arrived in the Americas, they caused so much death and disease that it changed the global climate.

Aside from its explicit anti-white vitriol, CNN is known for its selective and misleading reporting.

Why is CNN not being sued? It might have something to do with the fact that there is no such thing as The European American Civil Rights Coalition. In other words, demographics that lack representation are also unable to effectively seek redress for slander against them.

It might also have something to do with the fact that CNN, along with the rest of Corporate Media, does a good job of hiding anti-white crime; it’s difficult to be outraged about trends unless you’re aware of them. The vast majority of Americans live in blissful ignorance.

Solving Crime with More Free Stuff

There has been a lot of gun violence in Portland lately, and even Establishment Leftists recognize that most of it is perpetrated by blacks. In a recent Oregon Live article, we’re told that more “gibz” (free stuff) would help alleviate this problem – because this strategy has never been tried before:

Black faith and community leaders draw crowd of 100 for ‘March Against Murder’ in N. Portland

The so-called “March Against Murder” drew speakers from across the city, all of them Black men and one woman who has lost two sons to gun violence.

Their message: That both government officials and the community need to step up to curb the epidemic of gun violence that’s swept through the city…

Other speakers said Black Portlanders need more institutional support.

Lakayana Drury, the executive director of a nonprofit that works with at-risk youth, challenged government entities to create well-paying jobs for Black Portlanders.

He called on Portland Public Schools to hire 100 Black teachers over the next 10 years. Drury said the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire & Rescue should each hire as many employees in the next decade as well.

He also demanded that private companies step in to help, starting with one of the region’s largest employers: Intel.

“I’m asking them, right now, to give every Black child a computer,” Drury said. “If you don’t want a Black child to have a gun at 15, give him a computer by 5.”

He also said AT&T and Verizon should provide free wireless hotspots for the city’s Black children.

What a novel idea! More gibz will stop the violence. In a completely unrelated development, the Biden Administration has granted “temporary protection to thousands of Haitians:”

The Biden administration on Saturday extended special protections to Haitians living temporarily in the United States after being displaced by a devastating 2010 earthquake, reversing efforts by the previous administration to force them to leave the country…

Mr. Mayorkas said the new 18-month designation, known as temporary protected status, would apply to Haitians already living in the United States as of Friday.

“Haiti is currently experiencing serious security concerns, social unrest, an increase in human rights abuses, crippling poverty, and lack of basic resources, which are exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic,” Mr. Mayorkas said in a statement on Saturday.

Who do they think they’re fooling? There is nothing “temporary” about this. We all know that the Haitians will never return home. Also, it’s been 11 years since the earthquake, and the article itself points out that it’s “security concerns, social unrest, an increase in human rights abuses and crippling poverty” that make Haiti undesirable.

These concerns seem to follow Africans around wherever they go. Here’s an original idea: Let’s increase the gibz to Haiti. If we give every Haitian a computer and free wireless hotspots, the problem will be solved. Just ask Lakayana Drury.

Here’s a Useful New Meme

Answering a Quora question: What do statistics say about the wealth gap between white and black in the USA?

I wrote:

Those statistical “disparities” are nothing but a social construct. The wage disparities are far greater between members of the same race than between different races.

Ignore it!

Of course, I was simply using Lewontin’s Fallacy against the Left; if it’s good enough for them to “debunk” the concept of genetically identifiable human populations (“race”), then it’s also good enough to debunk the income/wage gap.

Without missing a beat, my Quora friend and ally, Jack Thomson, created this meme:

I’m sure he won’t mind if you spread it around. One of these days, I’ll start creating my own memes.

Of course, this meme can (and should) be adapted for the so-called “gender-gap” as well.

Portland’s “Teen” Problem

East Portland is being terrorized by “teens.” According to KGW8:

Police looking for teens who terrorized Southeast Portland businesses and drivers

PORTLAND, Ore. — Monday afternoon near Southeast 92nd and Division, police say a handful of teens walked into a convenience store, spread out and stole a bunch of things. On their way out, investigators say, the suspects pushed an employee.

After leaving the convenience store, authorities say the group walked into a restaurant a few blocks away, yelled at staff and stole a tip jar.

According to detectives, the teens then turned their attention to a hair salon near Southeast 82nd and Division. The suspects walked in and started throwing products off shelves before going into an employee area and stealing some things. The teens, police say, even tried to take a customer’s purse…

The crime-spree didn’t end there; they then committed a robbery and an attempted carjacking.

If you watch the embedded video, you might notice that the word “teens” is used 7 times. Here’s a screen capture of the “teens:”

I get the distinct impression that the reporter is frustrated that he’s required to use euphemisms. As for the vast majority of leftists, this sort of thing goes right over their heads, and they remain puzzled as to why the rest of us “hate those teens solely due to the color of their skin.”

To them I say, “Carry on living inside your fantasy world, where unsavory stereotypes are based entirely on skin-color – and have nothing to do with the fact that certain demographics are terrorizing our cities.”

Rhode Island Officials Call for Stricter Gun Laws

An Associated Press article decries the recent uptick in gun violence that has plagued Rhode Island:

Addressing gun violence in Rhode Island will require stricter gun laws as well as improved social programs that address the underlying socioeconomic issues, congressional, state and city leaders said at a news conference Monday held in response to several recent shootings in the state.

“Gun violence is a stain on our nation. It’s a problem across this country and it’s time to take action and break this vicious cycle of violence,” Democratic U.S. Sen. Jack Reed said at the event held at the Nonviolence Institute in Providence.

Gun violence has always been a problem, but things seem to be getting worse, officials said.

Nearly a dozen people have been shot in Providence alone in the last week, including eight people last Thursday in what police have called one of the worst shootings in city history. A ninth person was injured by glass. None of them died…

U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse said he has cosponsored 14 federal gun control measures, but noted that even though many of the proposals have bipartisan support, the NRA frequently stands in the way.

“We have to break the back of the gun lobby,” he said.

Emails and a telephone message seeking a response were left with the Rhode Island 2nd Amendment Coalition, the state NRA affiliate.

The elephant in the room is that white solutions don’t work on POC problems. Here’s what we get when we perform a Google image search for “Rhode Island shooting suspects:”

How many of those suspects are NRA members? How many of them are Second Amendment advocates? The article complains that “things seem to be getting worse.”

According to the 2010 census, Rhode Island was 81.4% white, 5.7% black and 12.4% Latino.

In 2019, the white proportion had dropped to 71%, the black proportion had increased slightly to 6% – and the Latino proportion increased to 16%.

It’s not just a matter of percentages; it’s possible that the criminal element feels more emboldened due to the “Defund the Police” rhetoric, whether it’s been done or not (I’m not sure). Then there’s the Ferguson Effect.

Let’s follow up on the mass shooting, cited in the Associated Press article above:

The state attorney general’s office identified the men as Ricardo Cosme Tejada and Jordany Britto, both 20, Reynaldo Rivera, 19, and George Rios, 18. Each faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, using a firearm while committing a crime of violence, conspiracy, and using a pistol without a license.

The news outlets put a lot of emphasis on the illegal guns, but avoided publishing any photos of the actual suspects. It’s doubtful that any of them are white. Most, if not all, of them are Hispanic – and it’s worth noting that Rhode Island voted overwhelmingly for Biden in 2020. They voted for open borders, and they’re reaping the “benefits.” Perhaps, instead of calls for more gun control, they should be calling for border control.

Rhode Island’s political class is oblivious to all this, and this failure to acknowledge the obvious will end up costing lives, while depriving good citizens of their liberty at the same time.

Inflation Could Hit 20%

It’s now so obvious that inflation is in our future that even Business Insider admits it:

Wharton professor Jeremy Siegel said inflation could spike to 20% in the next two or three years due to “unprecedented” fiscal and monetary stimulus and an explosion of the US money supply…

Siegel went on to criticize Fed chair Jerome Powell for not acting to quell inflation in the near term.

The Wharton professor called Powell the “most dovish chairman” that he’s ever seen and said that the Fed chair’s stance could “be a problem down the road.”

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, the article makes no mention of President Biden or his policies. I’m not an economist, but even I can see that a big part of the problem is Biden’s excessive spending; any action, or inaction, by the Fed is downstream from Biden. If this crisis were happening during Trump’s administration, his name would be plastered all over the article.

It’s the Federal Government, led by clowns such as Biden, that are leading us down this path – and I’ll tell you what irks me the most.

What irks me is that if you bought silver (for example) at $20/ounce, and then sell it years later at $35/ounce, that same Federal Government’s collection arm (the IRS) will count it as “income” – even though your buying power hasn’t increased at all.

In other words, they’re taxing you TWICE. I say this because nobody invests ALL of his money in precious metals; people need cash for their day-to-day expenses. But due to Federal fiscal malpractice, that cash’s value decreases. Inflation is a form of taxation.

You made the wise decision to set aside some of your money in the form of precious metals, and now it’s time to sell it. Even though the actual buying power of those precious metals is more or less the same as when you bought them, since their fiat-currency value has “increased,” you’re taxed again.

Really, the same principle applies to stocks, real-estate or any other investment that’s meant as a hedge against inflation. Protecting yourself from the Federal Government’s inflationary policies should not be counted as “income.” If an ounce of silver could buy you two bags of groceries 10 years ago, and you get the same groceries today for that same ounce of silver, then you didn’t gain any income; you simply preserved your income.

Many times, on this blog, I’ve written about how The Left twists the meaning of words to its own ends. How it alters definitions in order to mold the minds of youth to fit its narratives. We’ve seen this with words like “hate,” “racism,” “diversity” and “fair.” These are all related to social issues, but it’s the same with fiscal issues. “Income,” “poverty” and “tax” no longer mean what they’re supposed to mean.

“Income” should relate to your buying power, regardless of any arbitrary units of fiat currency.

“Poverty” should relate to the lack of life’s basic necessities; it’s irrelevant that somebody else has more than you do. “Poverty” and “inequality” are unrelated.

“Tax” should mean the involuntary taking, by the government, of any of our assets. This includes increased expenses due to regulations, reductions of our buying power due to inflation, and loss of value of our real property due to use restrictions and forced Diversity.

If the masses could be made to see what’s being done to them, things would be a lot different.

Weather-Change and City of Beaverton Followup

Only a few days ago, it was overcast and chilly here in Oregon. Now it’s sunny and warm. I blame Weather-Change. Actually, under these circumstances, I appreciate Weather-Change; it encouraged me to make my first pilgrimage to one of my favorite rivers this year: The Wilson River:

A while ago, I wrote about the City of Beaverton caring only about its non-white residents. I promised a followup if I heard back from them with specifics. Here’s the email I just received:

Thank you for reaching out and asking for clarification. There are multiple areas in the affordable housing development program where we want to have policies that enhance accessibility by BIPOC communities:

Screening criteria: encourage affordable housing providers to tailor screening criteria for prospective tenants are narrowly and specifically tailored to meet specific objectives and not disproportionately impact BIPOC residents

Marketing of available units: ensure availability of units are marketed specifically to BIPOC organizations and communities

Contracting: ensure COBID firms (minority, women, emerging small business and disabled veteran firms) benefit from contracting opportunities for design, construction and management of affordable housing

Outreach: at all stages of program and project implementation, ensure that activities are shared and informed by BIPOC communities

With guidelines and policies such as these, it’s clear that non-whites are given special consideration in Beaverton, when it comes to housing. I’m not an attorney, and I don’t know if marketing that specifically targets an ethnic group (in this case, non-whites) is technically illegal, but it certainly violates the spirit of the law. It looks a lot like “steering:”

Steering is carried out by real estate agents and brokers when they “steer” one race of home buyers to a particular neighborhood, while channeling buyers of another race to a different neighborhood. While it is commonly thought of in terms of entire communities, steering can also occur within a single community, where certain races are discouraged from purchasing some units within a complex. Steering violates the FHA because it denies potential homebuyers choices in their location of dwelling. It also works to establish and maintain segregated housing.

Hypothetically, if a municipality had a policy to market specifically to whites, while making no effort to market to non-whites, the outcry and lawsuits would be deafening.

Regarding the first item in the email, “Screening criteria,” my understanding is that they want to ensure that criminal background checks, credit checks etc. won’t have a disparate impact on non-whites. The only way to do this is to either a) forego such screening altogether, or b) hold non-whites to lower standards. Either way, the result is predictable: Residents will be vulnerable to criminal activity, and landlords will suffer loses. There is no way to avoid this.

The Oregon Health Authority Doesn’t Like White People

I just received a pamphlet from the Oregon Health Authority. It contains information and tips about possible lead contamination in drinking water.

The pamphlet is published in several languages: English, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish and a couple of mystery African languages. Let’s take a look at the accompanying graphics:

I didn’t leave any out, and as you can see, the only white people depicted are in mixed-race families, homosexual or disabled. Perhaps this message isn’t intended for healthy, normal, white people. Perhaps the Oregon Health Authority actually wants whites to be poisoned with lead – for the sake of equity, of course.

The Government is the Political Arm of the Corporate Media

Who controls the past controls the future. In an age where the vast majority of the population gets its information from a Corporate Media that is owned by only a handful of players, the phrase “money talks” takes on new meaning. It now means that, even if non-billionaires are allowed to talk, few will listen. The Corporate Media’s grip on public opinion is such that censorship isn’t even necessary any more. To the extent that censorship is practiced, it’s probably more out of habit, or perhaps as a hobby. When something like 90% of the population gets all its “information” from approved sources, there’s only so much the other 10% can do in response.

We’ve seen how the Corporate Media, through selective reporting, misleading headlines, and strategically-placed details, has cultivated a specific narrative: That “white-supremacy” is the greatest threat to white civilization (AKA “Western Civilization”), that any expressions of white-solidarity are actually “hate,” and that certain symbols can only be viewed as “symbols of hate and intolerance.”

We’ve seen how government policy has acted upon this narrative, writing it into policies and law. We’ve seen how police officers lose their jobs for wrong-think – as defined by the Corporate Media.

In the latest twist, a mother in New York has been ordered to remove a Confederate Battle Flag from her property, or lose custody of her bi-racial daughter:

A judge recently ordered a New York woman to remove a rock decorated with a Confederate flag from her residence or risk losing custody of her biracial child.

In a 5-0 ruling, justices in the Appellate Division of New York State’s Supreme Court‘s Third Department, allowed a couple to retain joint custody of their biracial child but ordered the mother to remove the rock featuring the Confederate flag by June 1.

“As such, while recognizing that the First Amendment protects the mother’s right to display the flag, if it is not removed by June 1, 2021, its continued presence shall constitute a change in circumstances and Family Court shall factor this into any future best interests analysis,” Justice Stanley Pritzker wrote in the ruling on May 6.

According to the ruling, the parents, who were only identified as Christie and Isiah, were ordered to have joint custody of the child in 2017, but when an attorney for the child recommended that the mother’s home should be the child’s primary residence, the father appealed.

It’s noteworthy that the court was unanimous in this decision, and it’s possible that any dissenting judge would forfeit his own job.

It’s also noteworthy that the woman in question is far from a “white-supremacist;” we can safely assume that she’s white, and her ex is black – but her own attitudes are irrelevant to the court. All the court cares about is that its Corporate Media bosses have determined that the flag is a “hate-symbol,” and that it must, therefore, act accordingly.

What do we call it when government is beholden to an activist media? “Mediacracy?” I think this is as good a word as any.
