My response to Irish Savant's observations on Anti-semitism

In a recent post, titled, “An Observation on the History of Anti-semitism“, Irish Savant writes (in part):

I’ll just make one observation at this point and it’s on something that absolutely jumped out at me. It’s this. Nowhere, and I mean nowhere, did I encounter any acceptance on the part of Jewish sources that Jewish behaviour might have contributed in any meaningful sense to the problems they encountered. (And folks, they did encounter endless problems, no arguing with that). But in every case it appears that the Christians, Muslims, Nazis…….Stalin when he turned on them, in every case the opposition was irrational, based on falsehoods and caricatures and hence totally unjustified.  Essentially anti-Semitism has been, and continues to be, driven by Christian antipathy towards those guilty of deicide, and/or envy at Jewish accomplishments.
Let there be no doubt that those two factors were powerful motivators throughout history.  But come on…there has never been a dispute in the history of man where one side was totally right, the other totally wrong.
Now I discern a larger – much larger – problem with this.  You see, if you believe that your behaviour is perfectly reasonable and acceptable, if you’re impervious to the real impact on and the perceptions of others, well, it seems to me you’re heading for a fall at some point. I believe that in fact there are many signs of this at present.

It’s painfully obvious that official Jewish sources (including the rabbis) avoid blaming Jews for anti-semitism as a matter of policy. But Jewish tradition is quite conscious of the fact that bad behavior by Jews can cause ill feelings among the gentiles. There is even a name for this: “Hillul haShem” (literally, “the desecration of the name {of God}). Conversely, when Jews behave well in front of the gentiles, it’s considered praiseworthy. This is called “Kiddush haShem (literally, “the sanctification of the name {of God})*. So, in theory, the cause-and-effect relationship is recognized. But I’m not aware of mainstream Jewish leaders saying such things as, “If only we weren’t so stingy, there would be less anti-semitism.” Though individual Jews will often recognize this.
Every ethnic group will have traits that other ethnic groups consider negative, especially if the group in question is from a different part of the world. This cannot be avoided – and it is also inevitable that outsiders will notice these flaws. It was not by choice that Jews became a Diaspora people (though individual Jews may have made that choice). This was forced upon us by the Babylonians and the Romans. Once we did become a Diaspora people, we wished to maintain our identity. Any time there is a distinctive people living among other peoples, there will be animosity. In theory, this is possible even if the distinctive people were above reproach. Over a long period of time, history will always accumulate a record of anti-“fill in the blank”. This is especially the case when the people in question are middlemen. Witness the Chinese in Malaysia or the Lebanese in West Africa. I believe that such persecution only makes the negative traits worse. It makes clannishness even more pronounced. It makes penny-pinching even more common. It accentuates distinctive physical traits (due to stricter patterns of in-marriage).
Regarding Savant’s statement: “… there has never been a dispute in the history of man where one side was totally right, the other totally wrong”, Savant almost makes it sound as if there has been an ongoing conflict between Jews and non-Jews non-stop throughout history. Reading histories of anti-semitism, it’s easy to get this impression; there has been a lot of it. But if things were that simple, with the two camps going at each other as the normal state of affairs, then Jews would have been exterminated long ago. In reality, there were many times when Jews and gentiles got along very well. Kings, emperors and Caliphs were intimate friends with famous rabbis. The Gentile peasantry and the Jewish peasantry were both very poor most of the time. They had more in common than differences. It often took venomous sermons by priests, reminding the masses that “the Jews killed Jesus” to whip them up into a bloodthirsty frenzy. Looking back at Jewish history, it’s the bloodshed, persecutions, expulsions and libels that stand out. But this was not the normal state of affairs.
The gentile peasantry was held in a state of slavery for centuries. Sometimes, it revolted and their resentment needed to be held in check. It is no secret that a scapegoat is sometimes needed to divert this frustration. Within our own lifetimes we’ve seen our governments eat away at our liberties, using the scapegoat de jour as an excuse. I remember when it was the communists. Then it was extremist Muslims. Racists and pedophiles are favorites these days. But an oppressive power always needs some sort of scapegoat and sometimes, in the past, it was the Jews. I must interject that the concept of Jews as scapegoats has been repeated ad nauseum by the Jewish hostile elite. So I hate to write the same thing myself. But let’s face it, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Getting back to Savant’s statement about blame-sharing for past anti-semitism, as it stands, most Jews place all the blame on the gentiles, while many (if not most) white nationalists place all the blame on the Jews. It would be nice to have more balance in both camps.
It’s not possible for us to conduct surveys of past anti-semites, but no doubt a variety of root-causes were at work. My own early encounters with anti-semitism led me to believe they were fueled by tradition. I remember three off the top of my head: One from a ghetto black, another from a redneck white and a third from neo-Nazis. None of those people knew me personally and the first two were very young and must have learned it from their parents. But the anti-Semitism of today is most likely fueled by abominations such as Ireland’s Alan Shatter, who do everything in their power to destroy the indigenous peoples of Europe. If Shatter were about to be burned at the stake, I would gladly provide the match.
*This is not merely because good-will is beneficial to Jews. It’s also because it’s considered a duty to sanctify the name of God.

The theft of white youth

The hostile media has grown so accustomed to using the term “youth” as a euphemism for “niggers” (unruly black savages) that even white nationalists have come to use the term this way. We say to each other snidely, “Did you hear about the most recent ‘youth‘ attack?” or “Be careful of that neighborhood; it’s got a lot of ‘youth’.”
It’s easy to forget that whites can also be youths – in the classical (archaic?) meaning of the term. It is white (and Asian) youth that bears the brunt of crimes such as forced integration. Adults may feel bad about white children living in fear and getting beaten up or worse – but it’s the white children who must deal with these realities face to face each day. It’s the white children who are being forced to attend school with animals and it’s white teens and young adults who, because they can’t afford a car, are forced to share the buses and trains with savages.
As if this is not bad enough, white youth is punished for the sins of NAM (non-Asian minority) youth. For example, the Portland leftist rag The Willamette Weekly writes (July 4, 2012 in a piece called “Teenage Wasteland”):

Portland is a paradise with cool bands, no cover and cheap drinks – if you can get past the bouncer’s flashlight.
It’s not so kind to the underage.
Cops are on the lookout for packs of kids brawling in Laurelhurst Park. The Gresham MAX station blares classical music to deter loiterers. The city might ban skateboards from some streets.

“Laurelhurst Park”… that name rings a bell. Ah yes! That’s the park where a pack of feral niggers (I’ll use the technical term here since white “youth” is the topic of this post) were beating up whites. How convenient for the Willamette to forget this detail. Is the Gresham MAX station blaring classical music in order to repel white youngsters? I doubt it. But white kids do skateboard. They had to throw something in that is relevant to whites.
Are cops targeting black kids at Laurelhurst Park? Woe be to them if they do; we’d never hear the end of it! That would be RACISM!
Are our nation’s cities plagued by gangs of white youths wreaking havoc and mayhem in their wake? Hardly. It’s black and Hispanic youth committing the crime. And yet the law cannot distinguish, when enforcing curfew laws, between violent gangs of NAM’s and harmless white kids. Police officers, using whatever common sense they are allowed, will make this distinction on occasion. But this use of common sense is frowned upon:

Are curfews racist?
Not inherently, but usually they turn out to be. Curfew laws give a great amount of discretion to police officers, which for reasons we won’t get into here, often leads to racist enforcement of curfew laws. Curfew laws are heavily enforced in black neighborhoods, but not as much in white neighborhoods. Likewise white youth are less likely to be stopped by police than black youth. Because of this, the rate of arrest for blacks in 2000 was 71% higher than that for whites.

There is no comment option at “NYRA”, so we are unable to inform the author that black neighborhoods experience much higher crime rates than other neighborhoods – and that these crimes are (get ready for this…) committed by blacks. Police officers figure this out fairly quickly and thus, they become “racists”. Yes, knowledge and experience will make you racist.

Most readers of this blog are already aware of the tragic cost, in blood, that whites pay for “diversity”. Let us not forget that whites, even when they survive to adulthood, often have their youth stolen from them as well.

Intimate Voices from the First World War

I just finished reading “Intimate Voices from the First World War“, edited by Svetlana Palmer and Sarah Wallis. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Yes, I am a sentimental person – but few books have jerked tears from my eyes like this one. The letters, and diary entries, are expertly selected, translated and intertwined together into a majestic portrait of that terrible war as experienced by the people most touched by it.
Not long ago, I had read History of the World War, in which one passage, in particular, stood out in my mind (pg. 32):

Millions of gallant, eager youths learned how to die fearlessly and gloriously. They died to teach the vandal nations that never-more will humanity permit the exploitation of peoples for militaristic purposes.

But Intimate Voices provides a more realistic view of that war. For example, here is one letter by Russian soldier Vasily Mishnin (pg. 39):

I have to go and relieve the guard under the cover of fire that’s pouring on to the enemy trenches. My heart pounds, it is a terrifying thing to walk to your death. The seven of us climb out of our trench and go up to the barbed wire boundary. We find a hole in it and crawl through it like cats. Bullets and shells keep flying out of the German trenches, lighting up our position. We get to the guard post, let the previous lot off duty and take their places. It is frightening even to sit or lie down here – the rifle is shaking in my hands. My hand comes down on something black: it turns out there are corpses here that haven’t been cleared away. My hair stands on end. I have to sit down. There is no point in staring into the distance – it is pitch dark. All I can feel is fear. I am so frightened of the shells that I want the ground to open up and swallow me…
I leave my post and climb into my dugout. It is packed, everyone is shaking and asking again and again, ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’ One explosion follows another, and another. Two lads are running, shouting out for nurses. They are covered in blood. It is running down their cheeks and hands, and something else is dripping from underneath their bandages. They’re soon dead, shot to pieces. There is screaming, yelling, the earth is shaking from artillery fire and our dugout is rocking from side to side like a boat.
The explosions come nearer and nearer. The injured from the 1st Company arrive and crawl into our dugout crazed and in agony, so we drop all our gear and try to crawl out, to run away – somewhere, anywhere. And at that moment a shell flies right into our dugout and my mates Kozhukhin and Blinov, who’d just crawled out, stand staring at it, as if they’d gone out of their minds.
We are running, but God knows where. Our CO had run off to the forest. I suppose he thought it was safer in there. As if. None of us can understand what’s going on. Everyone is trembling. We crouch down on the ground in silence, then when a shell bursts right around our ears we move on.
Samoudrikhin and I scramble into a peasant hut. We press ourselves against a wall, sit down and wipe our eyes. Our eyes are full of tears, we wipe them away, but they just keep coming because the shells are full of gas. We are terrified. Samoudrikhin and I lie face down and we just want to dig ourselves into the earth. Under our breath we pray to our Lord God to save us from this, just for this one day…

Tragedy brought home

We read about the blooming romance between a young German girl, Piete Kuhr, and a German lieutenant, Werner Waldecker. On their last date, he tried to kiss her – but she wouldn’t let him, even though she secretly wanted the kiss. That kiss was never to come, for we read (pg. 254):

When I entered the classroom, Greta Daluge and Trude Jakobi were parting from each other. They had shocked faces and were quite embarrassed. I asked, ‘What’s the matter?’ Trude Jakobi stammered. ‘Don’t you know? Werner Waldecker has crashed.’ ‘Dead?’ ‘Yes. Dead. He was going to go over to Bielefeld tomorrow. To his mother.’ All she knew was that Waldecker had taken off from the airfield that morning and had crashed soon afterwards. I picture his face, his flashing eyes, the wisps of fair hair. Is all that shattered, broken to bits, smeared with blood, his skull in pieces? What am I to do now? How can I hide my feelings from all the people, from Grandma, Willi, Androwski, my friends?

Even more poignant are the last diary entries of Austrian officer Virgilio Bonamore. He wrote (pg. 155):

I slept badly. I have a terrible feeling that something will happen to me. I saw myself lying pale like a dead man on a stretcher. My mother and sister stood over me. They kissed me and shed floods of tears.

Only four days later (pg. 156) he wrote:

It is enough to drive you insane. Dead, wounded, massive losses. This is the end. Unprecedented slaughter, a horrific bloodbath. There is blood everywhere and the dead and bits of bodies lie scattered about so that…

The editors explain (pg. 157):

The diary breaks off here in mid-sentence as the Austrian officer unknowingly records the moment of his own death. A Hungarian officer finds the body when the firing dies down at the end of that day, adding to the diary underneath the Austrian’s last words: ‘I found this diary in the hand of a dead officer on the Doberdo plateau: God bless him.’

Humanity shines through

Many readers are no doubt familiar with the Christmas truces that were observed on the Western Front during WWI. According to one of the letters in “Intimate Voices”, there was at least one such truce on the Eastern Front as well. From a diary entry by Josef Tomann, writing of the brutal siege of Przemysl by the Russians (pg. 77):

On Christmas morning our scouts found three Christmas trees the Russians had left in no-man’s land with notes that said something like: ‘We wish you, the heroes of Przemysl, a Merry Christmas and hope that we can come to a peaceful agreement as soon as possible.’ There was a truce on Christmas Day, they neither attacked, nor fired.

The Russian soldiers make a neighing sound whenever they see our troops, as they know we are forced to eat horsemeat in the fortress. A few days ago one of our patrols found a note they’d left us, showing where the potato and cabbage fields were and saying they would stop shooting while we fetched some food. It was true! When our soldiers went over, the Russians shot two blanks high into the air, just to let them know they’d seen them. The next day we all went for some more.

Unfortunately, according to the diary of Polish woman Helena Jablonska, this kindness did not extend to the Jews, who were brutalized by the occupying Cossack troops.

“Intimate Voices” is graced with photos of some of the people whose diaries and letters make up the book. The editors went through the trouble of researching biographical information about these people and, where possible, tell us about the remainder of their lives. There is also a short description of the political fates of each major player in the war and how it impacted the rest of the century. Even how it shaped the world we live in today.

It is ironic that those few years of brutality, disease, suffering and death could be brought so much to life within the 375 pages of this book. Needless to say, I strongly recommend this book!

"Sleep-theft" recognition: A hallmark of high culture

As usual, summer came late this year to the Portland area; we hardly saw the sun at all for long stretches of time. We had no spring to speak of and practically all of June was overcast, chilly and wet. But things have recently taken a turn for the better. Summer is finally upon us! In case y’all were wondering, this is why my posts have been sparse recently. I’ve been spending most of my free time outdoors to celebrate the summer and enjoy the sun.
I have grown noticeably darker, to the point where some might mistake me for a Mexican. Speaking of Mexicans, they appear to lack any sense of respect for other people’s sleep. Mexicans celebrate each others’ birthdays with loud parties held during the wee hours of the morning. They wake each other up for work by honking their horns outside their co-worker’s houses. Neighbors be damned. I’ve experienced this myself. There seems to be no concept of stealing other people’s sleep. Perhaps this is because it’s normal, in Mexico, to sleep during the day so that nighttime sleep doesn’t hold the same value it does in more northerly cultures. In any case, any Mexicans who wish to become naturalized in the U.S. should be required to learn to respect the sleep of others.
The ancient Jewish sages had a specific word for sleep theft: “Gezel shena” (literally “sleep theft”). Since we Jews have such a concept, I’d bet dollars for donuts that the Muslims do too. It would be interesting to compare the value of other people’s sleep in various cultures. I’m not sure how to go about doing this but surely somebody else does.
To be sure, our own American culture is far from perfect when it comes to this. Many American neighborhoods sound like kennels 24 hours a day because owners don’t bother keeping their dogs in line when neighbors are trying to sleep. I sometimes wonder how many people have died due to road accidents that were partly caused by sleep-deprivation due to barking dogs. How many doctors failed to save lives because they couldn’t concentrate for the same reason? How many work-related accidents can be traced to barking dogs?
Since this is a rant, I’ll go on to my next pet-peeve: Motorcyclists whose engines are almost loud enough to shatter windows – yet they have no problem riding through residential neighborhoods at all hours. There is no way to catch such people and punish them unless a cop just happens to be there at the time – and said cop considers it a priority. Not likely.
With the apparent end of the war in Iraq, a lot of people are wondering what to do with all the snipers who are now idle. Put them to work ridding us of inconsiderate people I say! I don’t care if Mexicans are disproportionately affected.

The Border Patrol

I used to live in an old neighborhood in Jerusalem called… well, it had many names. The neighborhood had a lot of history behind it and the residents included an elderly Kurdish couple (who still spoke Aramaic), an artist Holocaust survivor, a young Yemeni couple with their kids, a low-class Syrian family that always shouted at each other in Arabic, a non-Jewish Frenchman and an Arab reputed to be in hiding for corroborating with Israeli officials. I wish I could have those days back again and get to know those people better.
One day there was a disturbance at the Temple Mount. I can’t remember the details but some Arabs were protesting outside Al-Aqsa Mosque and Israeli soldiers were sent to control them. I had purchased a Newsweek magazine the next day. It featured an Arab protester at the Temple Mount. When my young Yemeni neighbor came by our house, I showed him the magazine. He grabbed it from me, threw it to the ground and stomped on the photo of the Palestinian as he blurted some harsh words of contempt against Arabs.
He was a member of the infamous “Mishmar ha-Gevul” (Border Patrol). These people were known for their venomous hatred toward Arabs.
So I was not surprised when I came upon this story at Alarabiya:

Activists have slammed a video released on Monday by Israeli human rights agency B’Tselem which shows an Israeli border officer kicking a Palestinian boy in the Israeli-controlled sector of Hebron.
The officer is seen in the video grabbing the nine-year-old boy, Abd a-Rahman Burqan, by the arm, dragging him as he says: “Why are you causing trouble?” A second officer walks towards the boy and kicks the child as he cries out.
According to B’Tselem, the incident took place on Friday close to the Tomb of the Patriarchs and the Ibrahim mosque, a location that frequently witnesses clashes between police and young Palestinian boys.
The boy’s father, Amer Burqan, said his son had gone out to get soup which is given out to the poor.
Israel’s Border Police immediately announced an investigation into the incident. In a statement released shortly after the video was put online, it said it “condemns the police conduct as contrary to its values,” reported the Times of Israel.

On the contrary. This conduct is very much in accordance with its values – unless things have dramatically changed over the past 25 years.
It’s a fine line a government must walk if it’s serious about protecting its borders. On the one hand, a certain amount of animosity, toward the threatening population, is helpful. We can see, on our own southern border, how ineffective Hispanic border agents can be in protecting us from infiltration by other Hispanics. On the other hand, kicking children is not exactly helpful if we want international sympathy and support. Notably, the soldier in question appears to be Mizrahi* (or he could be Druze). Mizrahis tend to have the least sympathy toward Arabs in Israel as their own parents often experienced anti-Jewish behavior in their original homelands. What they are usually not told is that some of this behavior was instigated by the Zionists in order to force the Jews to leave those lands for Israel.
Emotions and attitudes can be powerful allies, or handicaps, when it comes to protecting a nation from invasion. The words “racism” and “xenophobia” imply there is something wrong with wishing to protect the ethnic integrity of your own homeland. On the contrary, any nation that lacks these sentiments soon becomes extinct. It’s “progressive” and “liberal” attitudes then become a thing of the past. Women’s rights, children’s rights, animal rights, environmentalism and the rights of sexual minorities all become subordinate to “immigrant’s rights”.

The lesbian vs. transgender conflict

Latte Island has a series of posts about ongoing clashes between transgender activists and lesbian activists. There’s even a video showing a confrontation between the groups during a march.
In the video, lesbian activist Cathy Brennan can be heard telling a gender-modified man that he is “not a woman”. Here are her own words explaining her position regarding men pretending to be women:

… male persons have cross-dressed in order to gain access to sex-segregated spaces with the specific intent to harm females. This has happened. Many times. That’s all we need to know. Where a harm is foreseeable, it is potentially preventable. And if not actually preventable, then at least we can create a public policy against it. That is the purpose of law. Females, in particular, need laws. For example, a restraining order is just a piece of paper that could not possibly protect a body from attack, but we still need laws that prohibit stalking behavior. Similarly, in our UN submission we argue that:

Females require sex-segregated facilities for a number of reasons, chief among them the documented frequency of male sexual violence against females and the uniquely female consequence of unwanted impregnation resulting from this relatively common form of violence. Public policy, therefore, rationally permits sex segregation in certain settings where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.

As such, we take specific issue with overbroad legislative language and the foreseeable harm to women that can arise from the refusal to make any legal distinction between sex and ‘gender identity’ in the context of sex-segregated spaces. We advocate for legal screening of unfettered male access to sex-segregated female spaces on the basis of a purely self-reported ‘gender identity,’ expression, or appearance. We propose that this be done by requiring medical evidence…
We’re female. Females are 50% of the human population. Our concerns come from a specifically female point of view (not a libertarian or a trans-centered one). Our arguments stress the need for sex-segregated spaces. We believe that females have a right to these spaces, free from males. When cross-dressing males, who have not sought medical treatment and/or who do not intend to transition, demand access to sex-segregated spaces on the vague basis of a feminine ‘gender identity,’ that is an infringement on our rights. So this is not a hate-mongering, ignorant, or disingenuous attempt to deny trans people anything. We seek to protect women’s right to sex-segregated spaces free from non-trans males.

Makes sense to me, but for this she is called “transphobic”. It seems Brennan has committed the unforgivable sin of recognizing valid biological divisions within humanity. For those on the Left, Brennan’s thinking is dangerous. If we accept gender as biological reality, it could be the beginning of a slippery slope where race is also recognized as such.
To Brennan’s point about men posing a threat to the safety of women, blacks pose at least as much of a threat to whites. Therefore…

We’re white. Whites are 70% of America’s population. Our concerns come from a specifically white point of view (not a multicultural or a Hispanic one). Our arguments stress the need for race-segregated spaces. We believe that whites have a right to these spaces, free from people of color. When non-whites, who have not sought medical treatment* and/or who do not intend to transition, demand access to race-segregated spaces on the vague basis of a white ‘race identity,’ that is an infringement on our rights. So this is not a hate-mongering, ignorant, or disingenuous attempt to deny non-whites anything. We seek to protect white’s right to race-segregated spaces free from non-whites.

Perhaps the hostile elite can hold its own when it comes to gender, but long term, it faces an uphill struggle with race. If race is not a biological reality, then a white should be able to paint his skin, get lip implants, learn to swagger and self-identify as “black” so that he can gain easy access to college, promotions and the “ghetto lottery”. By defining race as a “social construct”, there is no reason this cannot be done – especially if it can be done with gender.
If self-identity is considered a valid tool to transcend biological divisions (contrary to Brennan’s position), then all whites can simply self-identify as “black women” and eliminate the gender/race affirmative-action privileged classes altogether. There would be equal access to “black-woman-ness” – and the government jobs that come with it. By denying us this option, the hostile elite is effectively admitting that race is a biological concept.
Their solution, as practiced over the past few decades, is to breed new Americans who are so stupid/brainwashed that they cannot even see the obvious contradiction.
*In theory, it should be possible to mitigate racial differences through surgery and hormone treatment in some cases.

My response to "Yew Among You"

This is in response to a recent comment made by  “Yew Among You“, who I’m guessing also uses other names for himself. Here’s the text of the comment with my responses in bold:

Jew Among You! Are you the guy who posted a video at YOUTUBE putting 3 different types of ice cream in a blender and saying that’s what “liberals” want to do to all the various entho-cultures, amalgamate them in the name of “multi-culturalism”? And that you prefer enjoying each ice cream separate in its own unique flavor?
Yes, that was me.
Actually its the opposite, at least here in USA (don’t know where you are writing from). Here the “conservatives” want people to “assimilate” into one homogenous mass and even convert to Christianity! The liberals and multi-culturalists on the other hand like freedom and diversity of religions and cultures.
The “conservatives” you speak of are not conservatives; they’re slow liberals. Their racial/cultural attitudes are indistinguishable from those of other liberals, except that they are a bit slower to adopt them. John Derbishire has already explained this on various occasions. It’s true that there are Christian fundamentalists who call themselves “conservative”, and who do want the entire world to convert to Christianity, but when it comes to racial matters (and my ice cream video was targeted mainly at advocates of race-mixing), most of them are entirely within the leftist camp. It was the Left that agitated for school integration, the Left that pushed massive third-world immigration on the West and the Left that forbade neighborhood associations, landlords and real-estate agents to discriminate on the basis of race. All the above inevitably lead to race-mixing (ice cream in the blender). All of the above were, in turn, adopted by so-called “conservatives”. Any “conservative” who favors any of the above is not a true conservative; he is a slow liberal. While the Left claims to be in favor of “diversity”, what they are really working toward is destruction of diversity.
As far as Asians emulating “European culture” some do. However a very large % want to avoid all your divorce, promiscuous sex, disrespect for elders, obnoxious teenage rebellion, single parenting, single parent dating, etc. For the most part Asians take pride in their various ethno-cultural traditions, philosophies, religions and family values.
This could be the case; I don’t claim to know what percentage of Asians answer a higher moral calling. From what I’ve read, the Indian sub-continent leaves much to be desired in the way of morality and respect. Of course, Yew could be referring specifically to East Asians.
As for the West being morally bankrupt, the disappearance of Church authority and, to a large extent, Christianity, left a vast void. As a result, many whites were left with no moral compass when it came to the matters you describe. Societies change. Cultures evolve and one religion fades into another. I don’t think there has been a time, prior to the modern era, when a religion disappeared and was not replaced with another. Leftism has sought to replace Christianity, but it lacks the history, ritual and spirituality of other religions. This is why many Europeans are embracing Islam instead. It’s a pity that the spiritual needs of the masses cannot be met without lying to them. It’s a shame the so many must fear the hand of heaven to abstain from sin.

Yes, it’s probably healthier for Asian societies to continue their ancestral traditions, flaws and all, rather than embrace the empty pop culture that now passes for “Western” culture. As for the West, I hope it can find its way without destroying itself.
Those Indians may get off the plane and start littering and talking loud once in India but they will not date, have promiscuous sex, smartass back talk their parents, divorce, talk trash about their families, religion or traditions once in India because “sssshhhh, the Indians are watching”.
I don’t think I’m qualified to speak to this; I’ll leave it to Indian readers. But it certainly does appear that many more Indians would rather live in Europe and America than in India. You imply that it’s not just the trashy Indians who move abroad. So, if India is so great, why do so many Indians leave?
While Germans may come down hard on people who throw candy wrappers out the window, they are perfectly comfortable with promiscious sex, divorce, obnoxious teenage disrespect of elders, single parenting, single parent dating, and all manner of other uncivilized behaviour that is rampant (and indeed the universal hallmark of) Western so-called “civilization”.
Not to mention the fact that they have so little respect for their own German heritage that they tolerate their daughters marrying Africans and Muslims. It would be nice if Europe could re-learn some things from the Asians, over whom they ruled not so long ago.

The latest murky thinking from the Mercury

The Portland Mercury has provided two new examples of murky leftist thinking for our entertainment.
In this example, it claims that whites are more crime-prone than other races:

THE PROBLEM is familiar. According to the latest batch of traffic data released by the Portland Police Bureau, covering all stops in 2010, cops continue to pull over and search African Americans and Latinos about twice as often as white Portlanders.
Also familiar, if equally troubling, is the idea that cops are targeting blacks and Latinos in what accountability advocates see as “fishing expeditions.” According to a review of the data by Portland Copwatch and the Albina Ministerial Alliance (AMA), whites are way more likely to have contraband like weapons or drugs, even though they’re searched far less often.

The problem is, indeed, familiar: Leftist race-denialists continuing to recycle their own regurgitated vomitus over and over again, lapping it up each time as if it’s the word of God. I commented that if the writers and editors of the Mercury truly believe this absurdity, then they must surely be living in predominantly black/Hispanic neighborhoods themselves. I predict that, if there is any response at all, it will be one or two of them claiming that they do actually live in such neighborhoods. I call them out as liars in advance.
Speaking of liars, here’s another doozy from the Mercury that seems to be only in the print edition for now (“Love Notes” June 21-27 pg. 3):

FUCK HATERS

Some people out there just want to spew their hate on you. I am white. I dyed my hair black. Idiots in pickup trucks screaming “Fuck you, you fucking Spic bitch! Fucking Spic!” following me several times. I was refused seating in a restaurant on two occasions. Racists can be too stupid to distinguish between races. So, they don’t care about you or your behavior or whatever. They just want to hate a color. They don’t represent most people, I think, but they are everywhere, scattered in with everyone else, so it FEELS like they are everyone. I am lucky, I can choose to make my hair be red again and suddenly I’m white and my white privilege comes back and everyone mostly treats me better.

Clearly we are not being told the whole story here. Do they really expect us to believe that black-haired people are regularly subject to the abuse she describes? I have black hair (okay, some of it is now grey) and I’ve never had such experiences, at least not from whites. If anything, people put up with me more when they consider me “non-white”. At least this is the impression I get. I couldn’t help but notice that there was no mention, in the Mercury, of the latest black-on-white attacks in the Portland area. Perhaps I missed it.

A lazy day for Jewamongyou

I don’t need to be lazy today, but I did want to share this excellent post with y’all from a blogger named “Raju“. I’m sure he won’t mind:

The journey to India starts with a flight from my small local airport to a large international airport. I am usually the only person of Indian descent on the plane. My town is small enough that I usually see someone I know every time I go the airport. I am an American. I talk like one, dress like one, and I don’t emanate unpleasant odors. All passengers board the plane in an orderly fashion, and we depart.

At the big airport, we exit the plane like ordinary people. If I have time, I shop, eat, drink, etc. Otherwise, I proceed directly to my gate. Naturally, I encounter many more Indians. They behave themselves. Indian Browns are still very much in the minority at the gate. Still, I can feel the angst – the excitement of visiting the homeland. We board the plane in an orderly fashion, and we depart for Europe. I usually go through Frankfurt.

In Europe, we exit the plane like ordinary people. All the Indians gather at the gate for the plane destined for India. Everyone is well behaved, as one would expect. After all, Indian immigrants are doctors, engineers, professors, entrepreneurs, or students in an advanced field. The parents speak with Indian accents, the children speak with the accents of the regions in which they are raised. When the brown children get loud, the parents quickly quieten them. Now is not the time to be obnoxious. “Shshsh!” The parents seem to say. “The Germans are watching.”

The "untold" story of African-American heroes

We’ve all heard the narrative countless times. African-American heroes, whose feats surpassed those of their white counterparts – were never recognized until recently, when our newly enlightened, and liberal, society finally unveiled their glory for all to see. The story of the Tuskegee Airmen comes to mind. Type tusk into Google search and “Tuskegee airmen” is the first result to pop up – over two million results. The Buffalo Soldiers is another saga that has become legendary in recent years.
According to PBS.org:

African-Americans have fought for the United States throughout its history, defending and serving a country that in turn denied them their basic rights as citizens. Despite policies of racial segregation and discrimination, African-American soldiers played a significant role from the colonial period to the Korean War. It wasn’t until the middle of the 20th century that African-American soldiers began to receive the recognition and equality they deserved.

Having attended public schools myself, I remember this message constantly being reinforced. There is little doubt that any survey of American teenagers/young adults that asked “Were African American military accomplishments given recognition 80 years ago?” would yield a large majority of “no” answers.
And yet I came across this in “History of the World War” (1919):

The caption reads, “AMERICAN COLORED SOLDIERS IN ALSACE – Inspection of arms before going into action. Colored troops were in battles with the Germans many times and succeeded in beating the enemy in every instance. (pg. 602)”
On page 609 we read:

In these drives the American colored troops played a conspicuous part. The entire Three hundred and sixty-fifth regiment, composed wholly of colored troops, was later awarded the coveted Croix de Guerre, or War Cross, by the French Government. It was a well-deserved honor, for the boys of the Three hundred and sixty-fifth bore themselves with great gallantry in the September and October offensive in the Champagne sector and suffered heavy losses. In conferring the Croix de Guerre, the citation dealt in considerable detail with the valor of particular officers and praised the courage and tenacity of the whole regiment.

Accustomed, as we are, to gross hyperbole and deception when it comes to tales of black heroism, we view such claims with suspicion. We have been conditioned to scoff, and rightfully so. But I say give credit where credit is due. In any case, the accuracy of such claims is not pertinent to my point here. My point is that even in 1919, at the height of Jim Crow and in the midst of the “Nadir of American Race Relations“, Francis March and Richard Beamish would not shy away from making statements such as the ones above. I am fairly certain that “History of the World War” was the first history of that war ever published, at least in English. Its introduction was written by General Peyton C. March, Chief of Staff of the United States Army.
