Pick a cause and then fight for it!

I came across this YouTube video:

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzE-IMaegzQ&w=560&h=349]

That guy is worthy of respect, not just for putting together a thoughtful and entertaining video, but for his willingness to endure physical injury to make a valid point.  Some would say the man is foolish, but folly and bravery go hand in hand.

I once orchestrated my own similar campaign in – you guessed it – Israel.  In Israel, pedestrians do not have rights.  Automobile have little expect pedestrians to move out the way and thus, by default, the car always has the right-of-way.  If they’re “considerate”, they’ll honk their horn.  They do have sidewalks in Israel, but as often as not, they are used as parking spaces.

It bothered me that I would have to leave the relative safety of the sidewalk, and venture into busy streets, in order to reach my destination.  It bothered me a lot more when my children could not even get to school without being forced to walk in the street.  At one point I took matters into my own hands.  I bought some fairly large stickers and wrote on them “the sidewalk is for pedestrians”.  When I came across a car parked on the sidewalk, I would affix one of my stickers to its windshield – directly in the driver’s field of view.  The hot sun would do the rest.  There was one truck driver, who would regularly park right in front of my daughter’s school, who needed a few stickers to finally get the point.  His windshield had a grid in front of it (to protect it from Palestinian rocks) so it must have been a chore for him to remove the stickers.

There was one street, in particular, that was a problem and it was en route to my daughter’s school.  The entire length of the sidewalk was used for parking.  On the other side was a construction site.  In the wee hours of the night, I would go there and collect large pieces of stone and concrete from the construction site and place them at the edge of the sidewalk to block entrance from the street.  In the morning, it would be obvious why they were there.  Once in a while, a driver would remove the stones and park there anyway.  He would return to find the stones on top of his car, still in a straight line.  I did this for a month or two.  Eventually, the city built a metal barrier to save me the trouble.  One small victory for me!

It has been a long time since I’ve visited Israel.  I’d like to think that things have improved.  Perhaps a reader can give us an update.

Enjoy the wit of Irish Savant

Today I’ll be lazy and feed off the brilliance of one of the great bloggers of our time:  Irish Savant.   He writes:

I bring you a new verb

de·troitdi troit ] (past and past participle de·troited, present participle de· troiting, 3rd person present singular de·troits)

Definition:1:transitive verb: to devastate a city or region by allowing it to be swamped by blacks.
“Crime, violence and general societal collapse have occurred since they detroited the neighbourhood”

2:transitive verb: to degrade an advanced society to its previous primitive or natural state
“The city has detroited to a jungle”
3: intransitive verb: the condition of living in an environment that has been detroited
the remaining citizens have been detroiting since the advent of white flight”

Synonyms: tear down, pull down, destroy, wipe out, demolish, devastate, raze, ruin
I recommend reading the comments to that post.  One of them links to this YouTube video:

A time to be offended

Yesterday I experienced scattered samples of MSM poison.  First I happened upon a friend sitting mesmerized in front of his television.  There were two scenes that passed before me.  The first one, that I saw going in, was a news story about gangs and sexual exploitation.  Practically all the teens shown appeared to be white – though no faces were shown.  The implication seemed to be that it is mainly white teens who join gangs.  The second scene, that I saw going out, focused on a teenage girl from somewhere in Africa.  They were praising her scholarly achievements and telling us how she is an honor student and destined for great things.  White students = gangs and sexual exploitation.  Black teens = scholastic excellence.
Later in the day, I happened upon the front page of the Columbian, a local South Washington newspaper.  The featured story was about the Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade.  While the large image on top showed a float with some young, anonymous, white women waving at passersby, the only photo that featured a single individual was of – you guessed it – a little black boy.  In case you were wondering, his name is Lerondre Richards, age 4 from Vancouver.  So what’s the fuss?  The photographer/editor just picked a random, typical visitor from Vancouver, Washington – whose demographics surely must be similar to that of Detroit, Michigan.  Well… not quite.  According to Wikipedia:

The racial makeup of the city was 84.81% White, 2.50% African American, 0.97% Native American, 4.51% Asian, 0.54% Pacific Islander, 2.86% from other races, and 3.80% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.29% of the population.

So the Columbian just happened to pick, and name, one of the 2.5% of Vancouver residents who are black.  But it should be obvious that blacks do not attend parades as frequently as whites.  As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lerondre, and his family, were the only blacks at that parade.  Here’s my theory:  Lerondre’s mom tells her friend she’s going to get her son’s photo on the front page of the Columbian.  Her friend laughs and says, “good luck with that!  Are you going to have him murder somebody?” “No” says the mom.  “I’ve got a better idea.  I’ll bring him to the parade.”  Sure enough, when the Columbian photographer saw Lerondre, his eyes lit up and he grew excited.  “This is my day!” he exclaimed.  Knocking over several old ladies and a blind man, and dropping his iPhone, he dashed to the scene and got his prized photo.  No doubt he was a hero at the office that day.
Turning to the opinion section, I saw a large cartoon that pretty much sums up the MSM attitude toward whites:

Next time the MSM accuses pro-white advocates of being “intolerant”, “hateful” or of “stereotyping”, consider the above cartoon.  Intolerance, hate and stereotypes ooze from it like puss from a festering wound.

Kevorkian croaks

Over the past few days, since the demise of the infamous “Dr. Death”, I have been wondering if he got as much out of his death as he had hoped.  Kevorkian had a morbid fascination with death and though few of us are as obsessed as was the doctor, we all share some of his fascination.  After all, we are all destined to follow him – sooner or later.
The existence of an afterlife might be experienced but the lack of one can never be experienced.  This leaves us, accustomed as we are, to experience only experiences and not their absence, assuming that there is an afterlife.
As for the nature of such an afterlife, by force we cannot imagine it outside the confines of time.  Is time a creation of our own minds?  Animals are born, live and die but we have no idea how they experience time.  We do know that younger people perceive the passage of time more slowly than older people.  Boredom and suffering seem to stretch it out.  If so, can our minds experience “eternity” in a moment under the right circumstances?  If billions of subatomic particles can exist on the head of a pin, who’s to say that an eternity cannot exist in an instant?
As we grow older, most of us come to realize how insignificant we really are.  There is nothing unique or irreplaceable about us.  Hopefully, by the time death comes knocking at our door, we will have internalized this truth and our demise will be of little consequence.  For what it’s worth, the “I” will live on as the particles that formed it” to begin with; when it comes down to it, there really is no static, definable “I” anyway.  This concept, though not new to me, was brought home forcefully through the book “Living to Die” by L.B. Kelly.  Kelly shows, through cold science, how after-death experiences fall short as evidence of a surviving soul.  But then, using Buddhist concepts, she shows the reader that there is really nothing to fear from death after all.  It’s a strangely comforting book.
I found this on a blog called sammyangels:

And then I heard him talk about a form of meditation called “Dying before you die”, practiced by Sufis. And something clicked. It made sense. You come to peace with the fact that your mind and body, and with it this material world, will come to an end. You will die. You will be forgotten. And everything you ever accomplished, everything you ever created will be lost.
With (sic) this means is that you allow your ego to die before your time in this world is actually up. All your fears will disappear. You will no longer take life so seriously. You would come to peace with what is.
It’s not like we have much of a choice in the matter, so we might as well make peace with it.  I wonder if Kevorkian did this.

I don’t pretend to be a philosopher, or to imagine that the above ideas are original.  I’m certain they’ve been written down before – perhaps as examples of folly.  But the death of a man so famously fascinated by death brought back many of my own thoughts about death and though I had misgivings about publishing a post as unoriginal as this one, sometimes I like to just share my thoughts, original or not.

A natural way of life

Sometimes, when I look back at my life as an observant Jew, I realize that some of the battles I fought then I still fight today.  Here is an excerpt from something I wrote in those days.  It is directed at religious Jews, but the message is just as relevant to non-Jewish society and the challenges just as real:

The Torah was given to us, in part, to free us from the burdens of idolatry (which usually demands unnatural and cruel practices in worship, such as human sacrifices, celibacy, cross-bearing, fire-walking, blood-letting, hours-long monotonous chanting etc. – see Guide to the Perplexed 3:30), and to bring us closer to our creator pleasantly – not through torture or demands which conflict with nature.
“Rather the Torah wants us to be natural, walking in the path of moderation.”  Rambam in Eight Chapters (introduction to Abhoth, chapter 4)
God created us to be in harmony with nature and, in this way, to grow nearer to Him.  Contemplating the commandments of the Torah, one will notice that none of them demand abstinence from any pleasure of this world – only temporary prohibitions of food and cohabitation, and that in order to keep our base instincts in balance so that we do not become like animals.
… with certain exceptions, a man may marry whoever he wishes, and however many he wishes to marry… all this only with the consent of the second party.  Human nature has not changed – but European “Judaism” has become exceedingly puritanical, perhaps under the influence of Christianity.  This situation leads to many hardships and crisis in which the victims – mainly adolescents – are blamed, while the real fault lay with insensitive leaders and evil traditions.

What I was tiptoeing around was the fact that humans start feeling sexual desire a lot earlier than is officially recognized.  In the religious Jewish world, it used to be that people would marry about the same time they needed a sexual outlet.  But now marriage happens a lot later.  The onset of sexuality has not changed in order to adapt to this.  The result is several years when the only sexual outlet is masturbation – and Judaism frowns upon this as a sin.  The Kabbalists take it a step further and consider it tantamount to a mortal sin.  This is an absurd situation.
But is the modern gentile world any better?   Let us examine what Western governments/societies do:
1)  Force all children to attend public schools (unless their parents can afford a private one).
2)  Ensure that boys and girls are together most of the time.
3)  Bombard those same children, through television, billboards and movies, with almost non-stop sexually provocative content.
4)  Tell them to abstain from sex or at least use condoms.
5)  Wonder why they don’t listen.
This is an absurd situation.  What children need is an intact culture that teaches them right from wrong.  They need their parents, their mentors and their peers to all be part of that same culture.  They need a society, and media, that reinforces that culture so that they can pass it on to their own children when the time is right.
It cannot be normal for people to marry in their mid-teens unless this practice is supported by societal institutions and family.  In a “multicultural” society, marriage must wait because we cannot assume the same level of commonality that we can expect in a mono-cultural society.  By definition, a “multicultural” society has no fixed set of mores, morals or rules – except that which is imposed by law (and even that becomes dicey after a while).
There have been societies in the past where different cultures and religions occupied roughly the same territory.  But each group had its own schools, neighborhoods, places of worship etc.  They were thus neighbors but also separate.  This is how the Jews survived as a people.  It is not societies such as these that I am speaking about here.
In the Western world today, even where whites are still a clear majority, various other cultures leave their mark.  Whether through television, friends or the internet, almost all of us are exposed to a variety of cultures.  I was exposed to Malagasy culture for a while – yet my own culture is no more “Malagasy” now than it was before.  This is because my exposure was one of educating myself about other people, not of replacing part of my own culture with a foreign one.  Children can  learn about cannibals all day long from television and there is no harm in this – until millions of cannibals are brought to Smalltown, USA and some of them, sitting in the school cafeteria with Johnnie American, say “here.  Try some of this!”  When foreign peoples are brought to our own nations, and our children are forced to learn, play and eat with them, then we have passed from “education” into something much more sinister.  What we have here is dilution of the home culture and its replacement with a myriad of other cultures.  As the boundaries between “us” and “them” become fuzzy, we end up with a lot of uncertainty.  Is it acceptable to have loud parties at 3:00 A.M.?  That depends; it is perfectly acceptable to many Mexicans, but not to white Americans.  Is it alright to mutilate your daughter?  That depends; it is considered a duty among many Africans and Muslims, but a terrible crime for others.  When those Africans object to our laws and say, “why do you persecute us for our culture?  Do you consider your own culture superior?”  How does the multiculturalist answer that?  In the end, the culture of whoever has the most babies will prevail.
But back to marriage.  I contend that the more uncertainty there is, the more marriage must wait.  Finding “the right guy” or “the right gal” becomes more difficult as the variety of cultural norms expands.  The more hay there is in the stack, the more difficult it will be to find the needle.  There will always be individual differences between people, even people of the same culture.  But two Orthodox Jews are unlikely to disagree on whether to allow their 10 year old girl to get her navel pierced.  The answer will be “no”.
There is nothing natural about “multiculturalism”.  It leads to confusion.  For its youngest victims, this confusion includes either sexual frustration or irresponsible sex and it probably leads to mental health issues as well.

How do you pronounce "Qaddafi"?

This post is an urgent one.  I cannot set it on the back burner for long.  Right now, people are talking about Qaddafi and his name is frequently in the news.  But this will change once he is killed.  So I do hope he stays alive long enough for me to publish this post.  After that he can die and I don’t care.
Many have agonized over how to spell the S.O.B.’s name.  Cecil, of the straight dope, writes:

Lord knows I hate to be critical, but the proliferation of spellings for the name of Libya’s head dude has been one of the continuing scandals of American journalism. I mean, come on, we’re trying to plumb this guy’s psychic depths and we can’t even get his name straight? Sometimes I shudder for the future of my country.
I count at least 12 different ways to spell the colonel’s handle, including Qaddhafi (New York Review of Books), Qaddafi (New Republic), Gaddafi(Time), Kaddafi (Newsweek), Khadafy (Maclean’s), Qadhafi (U.S. News & World Report), Qadaffi (Business Week), and Gadaffi (World Press Review).Libya’s UN mission, in an effort to spread further confusion, spells the name Qathafi, and I know I’ve seen Gadaafi somewhere. To make matters worse, the Library of Congress and the Middle East Studies Association, to whom one would ordinarily look for guidance, have a fondness for Qadhdhafi, which is an abomination unto God. I think you now begin to grasp the dimensions of the problem…

He goes on to say the the colonel himself spelled it, in English, as Gadhafi.  But what about pronunciation?  The initial letter of his name, called Qaf, is often colloquially pronounced like the English hard g, hence the colonel’s spelling.  But the original classical/formal Arabic pronunciation is a sound the sounds somewhere between a hard g and a k but a bit more emphatic – in other words, you let the air out all at once.  With the hard g, there is a nasal element because, as you take your time allowing the air to flow out your mouth, some of it goes toward your nose (This is my take on it anyway).  With the k, all of the air goes out the mouth, so the nasal element is absent.  With the Qaf, the contact between both sides of the throat is a bit deeper and the separation more abrupt.  That’s about as well as I can describe it.  Here is a YouTube video that illustrates it quite well; you can skip to position 1:50.  Note:  There are regional variations (even within what is considered the Classical pronunciation) of this letter; some say it more sharply while others say it more bluntly
The next letter, Arabic having no consonant letters (we’ll get to the vowels later), is dh or dhal.  It is pronounced like the th in “there“.  However, in this particular case, this letter is doubled as if you were saying “loath_there” in quick succession.
There is no confusion about the final “fi” (fee).
The vowel after the initial Qaf is somewhat in between the a of American English “cat” and the British version of it.  It is said quickly here and you should not linger on this vowel – but let it lead to the following double dh immediately.
The last vowel, the one between the double dh and “fi“, is elongated.  You open your mouth more and let it live out its entire life before fading into the final “fi“.
In conclusion, the “ungodly” Qadhdhafi is, indeed, the best phonetic rendition of this name – if we are going by Classical/Formal Arabic.  And there you have it.  A nice tidbit of useless information from jewamongyou.  Useless, that is, unless you wish to impress people at parties with your worldly knowledge.  If they end up shunning you as an eccentric, you can blame it on me.

Black women: "My dark skin is not beautiful – and it's WHITEY'S fault"

Thanks to humanstupidity for sending me the link to this video:
Here is my comment:

Is there any evidence it all started with slavery? All over the world light skin is preferred over dark skin, whether there is a history of slavery or not. It’s that way in Africa and India too, and in the Arab world. Not only that, but this has been the case at least since Biblical times. So no, it is not “the white man’s fault”.
Also, why the emphasis on females? Isn’t it true that black women, even the lighter ones, have a preference for dark-skinned men?
If this is a problem, why not go after the media – that insists on portraying black men with white women so frequently? We should insist that they show white men with black women more often – but I don’t see this happening any time soon.

It should also be noted, though it is not nice to say it, that most of the women in that video would be ugly regardless of their skin color.  The more I think about it, the more the movie looks like a (pardon the expression) bitch session for ugly women.  I also wonder if they have figured out that choosing dark-skinned men for their “baby-daddies” causes their daughters to be dark-skinned.  Perhaps genetics is not their forte’.
What is the link between dark skin and ugliness?  In my view, a woman can be both very dark and very beautiful; I don’t see a contradiction.  But most of the world disagrees with me.  Most of the world has disagreed with me for a very long time.  Therefore handsome, high-status, males would generally marry light-skinned women.  We certainly see that trend today, whether it’s sports stars or royalty.  There is also the rough correlation between higher I.Q.’s and lighter skin color.  Higher I.Q.’s mean a better shot at higher social status.  Higher status means more options in women.  More options means the higher I.Q. men will pick lighter skinned women.  The cycle reinforces itself.  Over generations, the result would be that good-looking people would tend to be lighter-skinned and have higher I.Q.’s.
Ironically, the above dynamic might work more efficiently in a mixed-up, multiracial, world.  Such a society would end up being highly polarized based on I.Q. as described in The Bell Curve.  Except that light skin and good looks would also be concentrated at the right of the curve.  Those women in the video are essentially complaining that they were born too far on the left of the bell curve when it comes to looks.  Their descendants are likely to be on the left of the bell curve when it comes to I.Q. as well.

Mivtzoyim update

In the end, I did not end up handing the leaflets to passersby.  If I could get somebody to accompany me, even if he doesn’t actually participate, then I might do so.   Instead I affixed them to utility poles that others had clearly been using for that purpose.  I don’t know if, technically, it is legal to do so but if it is a violation of some sort, then a lot of people are ignoring it.

In addition to the leaflets, I’ve put a large sign on the back of my car that reads “QUESTION DIVERSITY”.  I was inspired Countenance (see comment below).  I have it set up so that I can remove the sign on work days.  Hopefully, it will get some people thinking.

Ultimately, I’d like to have a collection of leaflets, each one highlighting a different “taboo” subject.  One could be about black/white rape statistics.  Others could have more libertarian messages.  I would set up a chair and small table and allow people to take them as they pass by.  The theme would be “taboo subjects are good for your mind” or something of that nature.

I’d like to point out that these activities, and this blog itself, were largely motivated by the interference, and sabotaging, of the last two American Renaissance conferences.  If the leftist power structure will not allow us to assemble peacefully and in private, then we must take our case to the streets.  It is the only logical course of action for us.

Wells Fargo goes 365black

I was visiting my local Wells Fargo branch and, as I was standing in line, I noticed the ubiquitous bald black man sitting behind his desk.  Every bank in America is required to have a bald black man among its staff.  Preferably, the bald black man should not be a mere teller; a teller is too humble.  The bald black man should be an actual banker – complete with his own filing cabinet and business cards.  The bald black man must be within the ages of 20 and 50 and he absolutely cannot have any hair on his head.  Each morning, as he arrives at work, his head is inspected for signs of hair.  If hair is found, there is another bald black man waiting to take his place behind the desk.  Furthermore, the bald black man cannot be a “light-skinned black” and I’m pretty sure there are minimum height requirements as well.
But this post is not really about bald black men in banks.  After all, it is not only banks that have the bald-black-man rule.  Where I work, we also have a bald black man engineer and, as far as most of us can tell, he does practically nothing; he gets paid to sit at his desk and be a bald black man.  What this post is about is what I noticed as I was leaving the bank:

Apparently Wells Fargo is not interested in marketing their mortgages to whites – or even Hispanics or Asians.  These were the only depictions of people in the entire entrance area.  Isn’t there some sort of law that says there must be at least one white face in every group?  Can’t we have some inclusiveness?

Getting in the spirit of "mivtsoyim"

There was a time, very long ago, when I was involved (by default) with the “Chabad” (AKA “Lubavitcher”) sect of Hassidic Judaism.  I was very young and seeking my roots.  Chabad was the only form of Judaism around, so I connected with them.  I never internalized their philosophies or their habits and, as soon as I could, I rejected their movement as unsuitable for me and more worthy of the name “cult” than “sect”.
But Lubavitch does have some positive points and one of them is their very aggressive outreach program.  They use the term “mivtzoyim*” to describe the obligatory practice of two or more men hitting the streets, or businesses, in order to bring estranged Jews back into the fold.  Activities include handing out brochures, talking to people, inviting people to services or classes and facilitating the fulfillment of various commandments.  In those days, though I was very shy, I also participated in these activities.
Now I find myself with a stack of Unamused’s leaflets and many thousands of brainwashed whites who need to be exposed to reality.  I have no illusions; out of hundreds of people, perhaps one will actually read the leaflet.  But this scenario was dealt with, by the Lubavitchers, with an analogy:  If a person is deathly ill and cannot even swallow on his own, we pour medicine into his mouth in the hope that a few drops will make it in and cure him.  Later in life I heard a similar analogy regarding sales:  “It’s like throwing shit against the wall.  Some of it’s going to stick.”  I’m fairly certain I didn’t hear that last one from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, even though I saw him many times.
I am still shy and it goes against my nature to go out in public to do something unpopular but I am distributing them regardless.  It looks like handing them out in person to passersby is the most practical way to do this.
Here is the PDF of the leaflet I am using:
