Portland’s police chief steps down

Jami Resch steps down as Portland police chief, asks Chuck Lovell, African American lieutenant, to take job

Not yet six months into her job, Portland Police Chief Jami Resch stepped down Monday and announced that she had asked Chuck Lovell, an African American lieutenant, to replace her.

The stunning change in leadership comes as city police are under fire for their handling of massive demonstrations across the city spurred by the May 25 killing of George Floyd, a black man who died after a white Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes…

Lovell, hired as a police officer in Portland in 2002, becomes the fourth African American to lead the city’s police force of about 950 sworn officers.

Resch said she considered the community’s needs and believed the change was necessary.

“I have asked Chuck Lovell to step into the role as chief of the Police Bureau,” she said at a noon news conference. “He’s the exact right person at the exact right moment.”

According to recent reports, Portland is about 6.1% black. From my experience, I think the black proportion is bit higher than that, probably closer to 10%.

Either way, we’re becoming a society where being black will be a requirement for any public office. All whites will need to do is pay taxes, and bow down to their black overlords.

Supposedly, the law government is required to treat us all the same regardless of race. At least that’s the claim put forward by those in power. But now all pretense of such equality is falling by the wayside.

Kentucky governor Andy Beshear has vowed to see to it that all black Kentuckians have heath insurance, and he’s made it clear that blacks will receive preferential treatment:

BESHEAR: Well, I believe that health care is a basic human right. And when I ran for governor, I made a pledge that we would sign every Kentuckian up for some form of health care coverage. But COVID-19 has laid bare what health care inequality results in, and that’s death. And so what I’ve tried to do is listen – listen to the demonstrations that are going on, listen to leaders in the black community. And what I’m hearing is a call for being a priority.

KELLY: What is the timing? You’ve pledged this. How quickly can you do it?

BESHEAR: We’re starting right away. It’s going to be a multifaceted campaign that is going to involve anchors in our black and African American communities to help us find individuals out there that are not covered. We’ve done something like this in the past when we expanded Medicaid and had the largest drop in our uninsured rate in the United States a couple administrations ago. So we have an overall game plan. But what’s different this time is our absolute priority on making sure we cover our black and African American Kentuckians first because of historic inequality, but also because in COVID-19, we’re seeing deaths at twice the rate. And that’s not right.

In distilled form, what this seems to mean is that uninsured white Kentuckians will take a back seat to uninsured black Kentuckians. I hope Beshear gets sued over this. “Historic inequality” should not be an excuse for creating a racial caste system.

What if the COVID-19 disparities have nothing to do with “historic inequality?” Have there been studies showing that all ethnic groups, in Kentucky, have been obeying the social distancing guidelines equally? Absent such a study, there is no justification to make such assumptions.

Raynard Jackson: All the gibz belongs to US!

According to Raynard Jackson, in Black Men in America, Democrats are not giving enough to black Americans:

Now let’s juxtapose that with Biden’s plan for the Black community.  His plan for the Black community consists of only 1,274 words and 5 pages.  There is absolutely nothing in this plan that is “specific” to the Black community.

And to continue to prove that he thinks the Black voter is dumb, Biden snuck in a phrase that most people didn’t give much, if any, attention to.  He lumps in with the Black community “people of color.”

Did you catch that?  So, IF massa Biden decides to pass out any goodies to the Black community, they MUST be shared with Africans, Asians, Hispanics, Indians, etc.

In order for Biden to earn the loyalty of the black community, he must make sure that all the gibz go to black Americans. They can’t be shared with other non-whites – much less so with homosexuals:

When you go to Biden’s presidential campaign website, you can clearly see that his priority is not the Black community, but rather the radical liberal homosexual community.

His plan to force the radical liberal homosexual agenda on the American people consists of 8,132 words and 31 pages.

The way things are going, Jackson is likely to get his wish…

… but it won’t last long; pretty soon, Hispanics are going to remember that they have greater numbers – and a populous Hispanic state just to our south that supports them. They’re going to demand the gibz too.Generations later, this is what the history books will say:

  • A black career criminal named George Floyd dies while in police custody.
  • The corporate media says, “Oh goodie! Let’s blow this way out of proportion, so we can get more clicks, advertising… and MONEY!!”
  • Riots ensue all over the US. Police and government (with few exceptions) support the rioters.
  • Companies and corporations, fearing for their property and business, also support the rioters. They donate large sums of money to black causes.
  • The worship of blacks rises to new, unprecedented, levels.
  • Due to their much greater lobbying power, special interests cater to the demands of blacks, granting them ever greater privileges – at the expense of everybody else. If Biden is elected, this will be greatly accelerated.
  • Hispanics, and other non-whites, say, “Wait a minute! Where’s OUR gibs?”
  • The white electorate, still grovelling to blacks, digs deeper into its pockets – but there’s only so much to go around, and inflation is out of control. Despite promises, and new bills, Hispanics are still subordinate to blacks.
  • Riots between blacks and Hispanics break out around the country. The still-largely white police force is unable, and unwilling, to step in. It’s a no-win situation for them.
  • This is the beginning of the break up of the once United States of America.
  • Alternatively, it’s the break up of the Democratic Party – which give the Republicans a new lease on life – which they screw up big time, as usual.

Reddit displays its piety

In the rush to see who, in the corporate world, can outdo the others in white self-flagellation, Reddit’s co-founder has resigned from the board of directors – and requested that a black person replace him. From Bloomberg:

Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of the link-sharing site Reddit Inc., announced his resignation from the company’s board of directors Friday and called on the company to replace him with a black candidate…

“I believe resignation can actually be an act of leadership from people in power right now,” he wrote on Twitter. “To everyone fighting to fix our broken nation: do not stop.”

In response to Ohanian, Reddit co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Steve Huffman wrote in a post that Reddit would honor Ohanian’s request to replace him with a black director. Huffman also wrote that the company would take a stronger stance against racism, though he said that Reddit is still working out the specifics of its new policy.

In a video, Ohanian said, “I’m saying this as a father who needs to be able to answer his black daughter when she asks what did you do. So, I have resigned as a member of the Reddit board. I have urged them to fill my seat with a black candidate and I will use future gains on my Reddit stock to serve the black community, chiefly to curb racial hate.” He has a 2-year-old daughter with his wife, tennis star Serena Williams.

Speaking of self-flagellation, one would think that being married to Serena Williams would be suffering enough. Apparently not. At least Ohanian is practicing what he preaches. I’ll give him that.

Perhaps the rest of America will follow his example, and ALL of our leaders will be black. That way, we can be progressive, and successful, like Nigeria, Congo, Central African Republic… or Haiti.

… which raises a couple of questions. In light of the fact that just about every US corporation supports BLM, and donates money to black causes, how can anybody seriously claim that blacks are oppressed in the US?

Since corporate America financially supports BLM, and all Americans end up paying for such support (through higher prices), wouldn’t this constitute “reparations?”

Uber displays its piety

A few days ago, I wrote about Lyft’s shameless kowtowing to the current racial status quo. Sure enough, Uber has now followed suit. Uber just sent out this memo:

I wish that the lives of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless others weren’t so violently cut short. I wish that institutional racism, and the police violence it gives rise to, didn’t cause their deaths. I wish that all members of our Black community felt safe enough to move around their cities without fear. I wish that I didn’t have to try to find the words to explain all of this to my two young sons.

Before I say anything else, please allow me to say to you clearly and unequivocally: Black Lives Matter. Many of the people who work on Uber’s platform in America are Black, and some have faced racist harassment, including from law enforcement, when simply trying to work. I know that many of you face racial injustice every day…

This week has given me hope that change is possible, and I want Uber to be part of that change. That is why we’re making a number of commitments that we will uphold not just this week, but for years to come:

  • We are committed to driving lasting change through criminal justice reform. On Sunday, we announced a $1 million donation to the Equal Justice Initiative and Center for Policing Equity to support their important work in making racial justice in America more than just a promise.
  • We are committed to supporting the Black community. As a starting point, we will use Uber Eats to promote Black-owned restaurants. And in the coming weeks, we will cover the cost to provide discounted rides to Black-owned small businesses, who have been hit hard by COVID-19, to help in their recovery.
  • We are committed to building a community that treats everyone equally and respectfully…

So, what Uber is saying is:

  1. We will “treat everyone equally” but, at the same time, if a white-owned small business applies for Uber’s aid, it will be told that…
  2. The aid is earmarked for “black-owned small businesses, not white ones.”

Somehow, this is what qualifies as “equal treatment.” How Orwellian is that?

I couldn’t help but notice that Uber has adopted the Seattle Times’ policy of capitalizing the word “black.” Good to know that Uber considers whites to be more diverse than blacks.

By announcing its “commitment to the black community,” what Uber is actually saying is that down-and-out blacks are more worthy than down-and-out whites. Otherwise, why specify “the black community?” People of all backgrounds suffer from hard times.

The mass hysteria that has gripped America sickens me, and I wish I could simply not read “The News” to avoid it. Unfortunately, every time I go out, I see brainwashed white drones holding ridiculous signs showing their support for the black community – as if something bad has happened to the blacks here in Portland.

Nothing bad has happened to the blacks in the Portland area; they’re coddled, worshiped and privileged.

A couple of years ago, Hotep Jesus demonstrated his black privilege, and mocked white guilt. Here’s the video (hat tip to Diversity Chronicle):

Good work Hotep! There can be little doubt that here in Portland, many blacks have gotten free coffee, and other free items and services in recent days.

It’s summer, and I’m getting darker. Perhaps I should try something like this. What do y’all think?

Followup on the Portland situation

It’s been two days since the initial riots here in Portland. There’s been a curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM, so things have probably calmed down. The broken windows are all boarded up, but there’s more graffiti than ever. The new slogan seems to be “I Can’t Breath,” and artists have been busily working on the boarded up Apple Store:

If any incels are reading this, I suggest y’all appropriate this slogan for yourselves, tweaking it to “I Can’t Breed.” Mark my words, and you heard it here first, there will be a street named after Mr. Floyd in Portland, and probably several other cities. It will intersect with MLK Blvd., and won’t be far from Rosa Parks St.

When I saw that vandals had written “Kill Cops” in a couple of places, I wanted to bring this to the attention of police; this is not simply vandalism, it’s incitement to violence.

When I did encounter some police officers, they told me it’s all over the place, and that it will be taken care of. I made sure to give them words of encouragement; Portlanders are running around yelling all sorts of nasty things about the police. If we can’t express our support for whites, without being lynched, the least we can do is show our support for the police. Most of them are good people. My words were much appreciated, and I encourage my readers to do the same. When you see police officers, walk up to them and give them words of support.

Lyft displays its piety

The anti-white rhetoric we’re increasingly seeing reminds me of how priests would inflame their flocks, during medieval times, to massacre the Jews:

What I have found is that since at least the fourth century, Christians have traditionally read the Gospel of John’s version of the trial and death of Jesus during Good Friday services. This gospel persistently uses the phrase “the Jews” to describe those who conspired to kill Jesus.

This language shifted the blame for the death of Jesus in medieval Christianity from Roman authorities to the Jewish people as a whole.

During the medieval Good Friday service, Christians prayed for the “perfidious” – or deceitful – Jews that God might “remove the veil from their hearts so that they would know Jesus Christ.” In another part of the service, a crucifix was placed in front of the congregation so people could venerate the crucified body of Jesus.

During this time, a chant known as “the Reproaches” was sung. In this piece, the voice of God accused the Jewish people of faithlessness in rejecting Jesus as their Messiah and crucifying him instead.

Medieval Christians thus received the message on Good Friday that the Jews who lived in their midst were the enemies of Christians who killed their savior and needed to either convert to Christianity or face divine punishment.

Good Friday and medieval Jews

This language about Jews in the medieval Good Friday liturgy often carried over into physical violence toward local Jewish communities.

It was common for Jewish houses to be attacked with stones. Often these attacks were led by the clergy. David Nirenberg, a scholar of medieval Jewish-Christian relations, argues that this violence reenacted the violence of Jesus’ suffering and death.

Another scholar of this history, Lester Little, argues that the attack on the Jewish community was meant to be a revenge for the death of Jesus and a ritual act that reinforced the boundary between Jews and Christians.

Local clergy who encouraged and participated in the violence against Jews were in violation of the rules of their own church. Church law sought to protect Jews and required them to stay inside on Good Friday. Historically, the western church took responsibility for the safeguarding of Jewish communities because they viewed Jews as preservers of the Old Testament, and thus of the prophecies concerning Jesus. Official positions were, however, often ignored locally as many Christians sought to assert their power over the Jewish community.

Civil authorities protected Jews by setting up armed guards and not permitting Christians under 16 years to throw stones. But this could not always prevent bloodshed and violence.

Yes folks, George Floyd is the new Jesus, and white people are the new Jews.

We’re in a situation where corporations are competing with each other to see who’s the most pious of them all. As the corporate media fans the masses into a frenzy of white-bashing and deification of blacks, corporate decision-makers are led to believe that they must either be proactive, or risk acquiring the label of “racist.” It’s a Bushesque philosophy of “you’re either with us or against us.”

Eager to display its piety, ride-share company Lyft has always been active in “social justice,” having a visible presence at events such as gay pride parades, and working closely with the anti-white hate group the SPLC.

Now they’re donating $500,000 to “civil rights” organizations. This is from a memo Lyft recently sent out:

We want to take a moment to speak candidly about the tragedy that is enveloping our country right now. To our Black community members, we recognize your pain and feelings of fatigue over the injustices you face every day. The color of your skin should not impact how you are treated.

Acts of injustice against Black Americans — including George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Christian Cooper, and countless others — have created an inflection point. This is a call to action for each and every one of us to do better, to speak up, and to be part of the solution.

Systemic racism is deeply rooted in our society, and it’s important that Lyft supports organizations that fight it. As part of our continued commitment to communities of color through LyftUp, our transportation access initiative, we’re providing $500,000 in ride credit to national civil rights organizations who have been working to facilitate essential transportation and equitable access during the recent crises (National Urban League, NAACP, National Action Network, Black Women’s Roundtable and National Bail Fund Network). In Minneapolis specifically, we will be donating LyftUp ride credit to Lake Street Council to facilitate rides to volunteers assisting with rebuilding efforts.

In other words, they’re giving half a million dollars to black-interest groups. Any organization that promotes the interests of white-Americans, in the same way that those organizations promote the interests of black-Americans, would be blacklisted as “racist” and hateful.

Uber is also guilty of marginalizing whites. Based on the graphics on their website and ads, one would think that white males are a tiny, insignificant, segment of America’s population. Typically, if a white male is depicted, he’s old. However, Lyft has imbibed the social-justice cool aid more deeply than Uber.

Hopefully, Uber won’t play this game. For all its flaws, we do need at least one ride-share company. Many people rely on this service, and Uber is already hemorrhaging money.

Schadenfreude

Almost every time I walk into a Target, their Afrocentric propaganda stares me in the face. This is why a wave of schadenfreude washed over me when I saw that black looters had targeted Target in Minneapolis.  It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the looters are featured on the wall art, or placards, at that same Target, posing next to white girls.

CNN is famous for its anti-white bias… and I experienced another wave of schadenfreude when I saw that rioters had smashed windows at a CNN center in Atlanta.

Closer to home, Portland had its own riots. When I visited the downtown area to survey the damage, I was greeted by yet MORE schadenfreude. Starbucks Coffee, which has repeatedly kowtowed to black interests, and the Diversity lobby, was among the businesses that were damaged:

I didn’t witness the riots, but my guess is that many of the troublemakers were white; we do have a large white underclass here.

A few years ago, I closed my account with Bank of America, because I’d discovered that they had donated over $20,000 to the SPLC. That’s not a lot of money for such a large company, but even a penny to such an evil organization is too much. So imagine my schadenfreude when I saw this:

I was disappointed that they hadn’t caused more damage, and broken some windows…

… but my disappointment was short-lived, because Apple is also on my shit list – for donating a million dollars to the SPLC, and for taking donations for the SPLC after Charlottesville. This is how leftist thugs showed their appreciation to Apple:

Smashed windows, graffiti, and I’m told that a lot of merchandise was stolen as well. Apple is in an abusive relationship with leftists and black thugs. Every time Apple gets victimized, it licks its wounds and says, “Maybe I just need to love them even more, and give them more money.”

Of course, other businesses suffered as well. From what I saw, it will cost many millions of dollars to repair the damage. I’m not sure what Louis Vuitton sells, but judging by the photos on their windows, they sell young women.

I arrived downtown in the late morning, and it was evident that Portlanders had already been hard at work cleaning off the graffiti, sweeping the streets, and repairing broken windows, for several hours.

It was clear to me that many Portlanders are angry. We’ll all have to pay the price; higher insurance premiums lead to higher prices. Most Portlanders don’t want their city to look like inner city Baltimore or the south side of Chicago. Something good might come of this. It’s possible that Portland voters will finally tire of spineless Democrat politicians running the city. With any luck, there will be a return to the rule of law.

BLM protest in Portland

Yesterday, I happened upon a demonstration here in Portland. They were protesting the death of George Floyd. Here are some photos:

 

 

It was a peaceful protest, and by all means, people should protest police brutality. But most of BLM’s martyrs are criminals; witness the large portrait of Michael Brown. I get the impression that such protests aren’t so much in opposition to police brutality, but to display one’s piety in his worship of blacks. Things turned sour after dark, and that’s a separate post.

Speaking of blacks, two of them approached me and asked “What’s your nationality?” I responded, “American.” They persisted, “Are you Mexican or Latino?” I repeated, “Just American.” I don’t feel obligated to reveal my Jewish roots to any stranger who accosts me on the street.

In hindsight, now that I know they were members of a weird cult, perhaps “Black Hebrew Israelites,” I wish I had; it might have been interesting. They gave me a leaflet, and told me I “need to repent.”

The leaflet is full of grotesque typos and bizarre theories. Honestly, I’m not sure what message they’re trying to convey. According to the leaflet:

The Biden interview

Biden has taken a lot of heat, and has just apologized, for proclaiming, “I’ll tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t black.”

At this point, I understand the position that some leftists take, when they attack others for insensitive speech, and then rejecting any apologies that might follow.

As others have pointed out, Biden’s statement wasn’t simply a slip of the tongue; it encapsulates the Democratic views of blacks for the past several decades. It’s extremely condescending – and I’m sure he meant every word of it, apology or not.

But, after listening to the entire interview, what sickened me more was his shameless pandering to “the black community,” even going so far as to promote his “Manifesto for Black America.” One gets the impression that Biden has two loyalties, one to America, and one to Black America. He brought up “institutional racism” several times, and made it clear that he intends to reduce the number of blacks in prison. What he neglected to point out is the inevitable loss of innocent life that would result from such a reduction. The moment government sets a priority to reduce inmate populations, judges, courts and parole boards feel the pressure to do so – and people die as a result. We’ve already seen this with Corona-related prison releases.

I do agree with Biden on some points. People shouldn’t be locked up for mere drug offenses. Treatment is preferable to incarceration. Biden wants to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level. I’m all for that.

Another thing that made me cringe was the way Biden tries to mimic Black American speech by peppering his answers with “man,” “ain’t” and the dropping of final Gs. I can respect a real white man, but not a fake black man.

Biden seems to be a male version of Hillary Clinton. He’s as fake as a three-dollar bill.
