What we can learn from Obama

Obama is half white – but as far as he’s concerned, he is 100% Negro.  Though he was raised by his white mother’s family, and his black father abandoned him at an early age, he chooses to identify only with his father’s black heritage and ignore his mother’s heritage.  While there are practical reasons for this – after all, it got him the presidency – nearly all mixed-race people have been doing the same thing for quite some time.  While there are definite advantages to being black, due to black-privilege, there is clearly another factor at work here:  A black heritage is considered a “heritage” while a white heritage is considered nothing.
In the State of Exile blog, there is a recent post claiming that Jews are 3-5% sub-Saharan African:

Reich’s team analyzed more than half a million DNA markers across the entire genomes of people from seven diverse Jewish populations — including Ashkenazim from northern Europe; Sephardim from Italy, Turkey and Greece, and Mizrahim from Syria, Iraq and Iran. They then compared the genetic data with DNA from 15 sub-Saharan African populations.
Reporting in the April issue of PLoS Genetics, the researchers found that modern day Jews can attribute about 3% to 5% of their ancestry to sub-Saharan Africans, and that the exchange of genes between Jews and sub-Saharan Africans occurred approximately 72 generations, or about 2,000 years, ago.

3-5% is about the same percentage of Neanderthal blood that the average non-African possesses.  I have yet to encounter anybody who claims to be “Neanderthal” on this basis.  The pro-white movement has been quick to tout the Neanderthal finding because it illustrates that we are not all the same.  If not for that, and the mystique of the Neanderthal (whose true nature remains unknown), few would care if we carried Neanderthal genes.
If Obama can ignore 50% of his heritage, surely we Jews can ignore 3-5% of ours if we so choose.  In any case, it’s not something I stay up at night worrying about.  However… should I ever choose to run for president, try to get admitted for college, apply for a prestigious job or have a racial grievance where I could win the ghetto-lottery, that 3-5% might come in useful!

Typical MSN; non-typical rioters

After relating to us how some black gangbangers ran down and killed some Pakis during the London riots,  MSN immediately shows us this photo:
The heading states:

Offenders sentenced for their roles in recent United Kingdom disturbances, shown Aug. 11 in these photographs from the Greater Manchester Police, include (top, left to right) Aaron Grima, jailed for four months for assaulting a police officer; Paul Obonyano, jailed for 14 weeks for assaulting a police officer and a public order offense; Bernard Moore, sentenced to 20 weeks for assaulting a police officer; Eoin Flanagan, sentenced to eight months for stealing clothes…

We all know that more than eight people were arrested during the riots.  In fact, the article directly above the photo states:

Scotland Yard said that, as of Saturday night, 1,276 suspected rioters and looters have been arrested, of whom 748 have been charged with various crimes.
Nationwide, more than 2,100 people have been arrested. Courts in London, Birmingham and Manchester have stayed open around the clock since Wednesday to process the cases.

So the obvious question should be:  Why were the above 8 singled out for photos?  Their crimes do not appear to be particularly heinous or unusual.  Most likely, those were the only white perpetrators in the lot* – and they threw in one black face in a pathetic attempt at credibility.  Is anybody foolish enough to believe that the above photo is an accurate representation of the rioters?  If so, I’ve got a bridge to sell him.

The face of Vancouver, Washington is… Hispanic?

Vancouver, Washington is located in Clark County.  They have a tradition of holding a 10-day fair each year.  The Columbian describes it:

Continuing a tradition that dates back decades, Clark County Fair revelers lined up for half a mile Friday for a free pancake feed that kicked off the 10-day event…
Vancouver resident Yvette Emerson said the free event was particularly meaningful because of the languishing economic downturn.  Emerson waited in line for breakfast with her aunt, Mary Smithline, and two children, 25-year-old Brittany and 23-year-old Brandon…

Here are the photos, prominently displayed on the front page of this newspaper:

Vancouver is almost 85% white – and the upper photo reflects that, although it shows a mostly older crowd.  But the only person, appearing by herself on the front page, is Hispanic.  Hispanics make up only 6.3% of the population of Vancouver.  Why do newspapers go out of their way to highlight blacks, or Hispanics, rather than focus on individuals who better reflect their local community?  Because in the eyes of the leftist elite white=bland=bad while non-white=diversity=good.
Of course 99% of The Columbian readers have no idea they are being indoctrinated; they just see a photo of a cute little girl.  Years of being fed subliminal anti-white messages, like this one, turn mainstream media consumers’ minds into mush.  Since the message is never enunciated explicitly, they never have an opportunity to object to it.  That is the strength of subliminal propaganda.  It conditions the mind without having to engage in any arguments, without having to expose oneself to any objections.  Thus, the opinions of the masses, in racial matters, mean nothing.  They have no validity – because they were formed through such sneaky conditioning.
When such a person is exposed to opposing views on race, the contrast to what he is used to is so stark that he cannot handle it.  The only reaction he is capable of is to take offense.  Both his love of “diversity” (I.E. non-whites), and his hatred toward any pro-white stance, are based purely on emotion, but he’s only offended by the pro-white message – because he’s not used to it.
We can combat this type of cowardly warfare by speaking up as often as we can.  We must speak up online, with family, coworkers, people on the street etc.  But we must speak up in such a way that it comes across as entirely positive.  When opportunity arises, we must seize it and carry out acts of  “micro-courage”.  An example might be, as eugenicist suggested, saying “how white of you” when somebody does you a good turn.  When we see a cute child, we could compliment the parents by saying, “what a beautiful white child!”  When somebody, in your (white) neighborhood, does a good deed, you could comment, “this is why I love living in a white neighborhood.”
All revolutions must start with words.  Let’s use them!

Another victim of "diversity"

This would be a busy blog indeed if I were to publish a new post every time a white person is senselessly murdered by blacks or Hispanics.  But this information was actually reported by The Columbian, a local South Washington State newspaper (quoting from the L.A. Times):

As a captain in the Marine Corps Reserves, Jeremy Henwood deployed to one of the most dangerous regions in Afghanistan, where Taliban fighters use roadside bombs and snipers to kill or maim as many American troops as possible.
Dozens of Marines were killed and hundreds were wounded, some grievously, during his tour.
But Henwood, 36, returned home in May without a scratch and was proud of his yearlong deployment. He was equally pleased to get back to the San Diego Police Department, which assigned him to patrol in City Heights, an up-and-coming blue-collar neighborhood that, like much of San Diego, is enjoying a sharp decrease in crime.
His tour of duty on a relatively tranquil home front came to a tragic end early Sunday, when he died of wounds from a point-blank shotgun blast the day before.
Police Chief Bill Lansdowne, a cop for four decades, had trouble finding words to describe the shooting by a petty criminal who drove alongside Henwood’s patrol car and opened fire. The suspect was pursued and shot dead by other officers.
The slaying, said an ashen-faced Lansdowne, “was an assassination.”
Police gave the following account of the crime: While Henwood’s patrol car was stopped at a stop sign, the driver of a black Audi signaled with his lights, apparently to draw the officer’s attention. The driver then pulled alongside the cruiser, lowered his front passenger-side window, leveled a shotgun and fired, striking the officer’s head.
The driver of the Audi, later identified as Dejon Marquee White, 23, turned out to be a suspect in a shooting minutes earlier in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in nearby El Cajon. There is no evidence Henwood knew about the incident, authorities said…
Neither the L.A. Times nor The Columbian included photos of the perpetrator and the victim, but ABC Local did:

Yes folks, it’s another case of a worthless excuse for a “human being” killing a valuable person.  A beat-up junker totaling a Lamborghini.  What reasonable, intelligent, person can look at the above photo and claim that the creature on the left is worth just as much as the man on the right?  The fact that the murderer also died is not an “even trade”.  What would constitute justice in such a case?  Perhaps forced sterilization of all of Dejon’s immediate relatives would be in order.  Collective punishment is not fair – but it does tend to be effective.

Margaret's comment on Amren

This comment (to a recent Amren article) is so good, and I’ve got a bunch of stuff to do today, that I’m just going to quote it in full – and I would have asked Margaret’s permission had she included an email address.  I’ve edited it a little for typos and such:

The Hispanic “race” was invented by the federal Judiciary and the communist controlled, anti White racist Ford Foundation, a multi billion dollar non profit which is dedicated to the destruction of American Whites.
It was the Marxists at the Ford Foundation, on the orders of Russia; that funded and created MALDEF, LARAZA etc and also took over and radicalized existing Latino organizations like LULAC.
Other Marxist, anti White racist non profits such as ACLU, ADL, NOW etc joined in.
A law suit was filed. the Judiciary ruled that anyone with a Spanish name was of a separate race called Hispanic. Didn’t matter of it was a blonde blue Spaniard, a pure Indian from S. America, a pure black person from Spanish Morocco, or a Polish immigrant to Mexico who changed their his last name to a Spanish one.
All are Hispanic.
In its continuing well organized genocide against Whites, the Judiciary also decreed that affirmative action aristocratic status be awarded to anyone with a Spanish last name.
Hispanics are classified as a protected aristocratic class entitled to special privileges forbidden to Whites. These laws are ferociously enforced by a plethora of government gestapo agencies.
The various government gestapo agencies, EEOC, FEPC, Civil rights for all but Whites unit of the DOD immediately began ordering every employer in the country to start hiring anyone with a Spanish name instead of Whites.
This was I believe, in 1972.
A real example of special privileges a Spanish surname person is entitled to is the employment history of 2 women I know.
J is of German and English ancestry. Family has been in America for more than 150 years. Blue eyes, very fair skin, light brown hair.
In 1961, when America still had the merit civil service system, she took a civil service exam, passed it and got an entry level job. She took several promotional exams during the 1960’s and prior to 1970. She failed them all. This meant that unless she managed to pass the next one, she would not be promoted for years if ever.
In 1972, (I remember it well because my daughter was flower girl) she married a man with a Spanish last name. She took the next promotional exam. Surprise surprise she passed. She got the promotion quickly. She then got a major promotion about every 5 years, especially after her employer eliminated the written exams entirely and hired and promoted solely on the interview, actually, the only criterion was race.
Virtually every government agency in the country does this.
J ended up deputy head of the agency, she who failed every written exam she took but the entry level exam.
The ironic thing is, her husband was not Hispanic or Spanish. He was pure German, blue eyes, light brown hair, fair skin.
He was born in Germany, East Germany under Russian occupation.
His parents managed to get out when he was about 3. They settled in Nicaragua. They set up a small business, learned Spanish, started speaking it at home when he started school and changed their name from Muller to Medina.
The dictator Samoza had a separate tax program for himself. Businesses were forced to pay 10 or 15 percent of gross profit to Samoza. The collectors came around every week and the payment had to be in cash. Withholding meant beatings and rapes.
So the family left Nicaragua and came to the United States when J’s husband was about 12.
So here we have a non Hispanic woman with her non Hispanic husband’s Hispanic last name who got promoted from entry level to deputy head of the department simply because her in laws changed their name to a Hispanic one.
Another woman, N who was Spanish Mexican with a Spanish last name took and passed the entry level exam, got the job and got a promotion. She then married a man with an English last name.
Because she had an English last name she was denied promotion for the next 30 years, like every other White in the agency.
There are some truly bizarre things about affirmative action.
For instance, there are some federal agencies, NASA, State Department, FBI, CIA and others that still require a written exam. The grading of those exams is what any sane country would call cheating. The examiners simply subtract 20 or 25 points from the scores of Whites until the White scores are all below passing.
At the same time they add 20 or 25 points to the scores of blacks and Hispanics until the blacks who scored 50 out of 100 points rise to 75 so they can be passed.
In some agencies, such as FBI, CIA and State, White women whose scores end up above 80 even after the 25 points have been subtracted are classified as White men for purposes of discrimination. It is called White male profile.
This shows the lengths our government goes to to discriminate against Whites, especially men. Consider the Judicial decree that 50 percent of medical school admissions be women. A reasonable person would think that along with this the Judges would decree that nursing schools be forced to admit 50 percent men. But they have not and never will.
As Bon has written so many times and anyone who reads history, will notice, discrimination in government hiring is often a first step in genocide. After all, it is easier for government troops to massacre people of a different ethnicity, religion etc.
An excellent example is Nazi Germany. Hitler was appointed, not elected,  Chancellor of Germany January 30 1933. Many historians, especially Jewish ones, claim that he had been preaching the Holocaust since the early 1920s and at the time of appointment fully intended to exterminate German Jews.
Hitler’s first, very first act against the Jews was to forbid any government agency and state schools and colleges in Germany from hiring new Jewish personnel. This was in April 1933.
Next step, forbidding any government agency or school from using a Jewish contractor or supplier including medical providers for government employee insurance plans.
This was just a month or so later.
At the same time, Nazis and government workers were directed to harass Jewish government and educational employees to either drive them out voluntarily or make false accusations and fire them for cause.
In 1935 I believe, all Jewish govt. and education employees were fired. Even private schools who had say, a Jewish piano or dance teacher twice a week had to fire them.
Meanwhile of course, a massive anti Jewish propaganda effort got going in schools, colleges, civic, social and occupational organizations and especially in the media.
We all know how that ended.
French revolutionaries against everybody who disagreed with them, American revolutionaries against Americans who either remained neutral or sided with the legal British government before the revolution, Lenin and Stalin who massacred anyone who disagreed with them, Sunni Muslims against Shia Muslims, these are examples of official government and establishment actions against whatever group they want to exterminate.
Americans who remained neutral during the revolution were often driven out of town by a mob and had their property confiscated and auctioned off.
Read about genocides through the ages.
Read about German Jews during the Nazi era. Read about the history of English Catholics who were forbidden to work for government agencies or attend college from 1533 to about 1870. Read how Lenin used propaganda to turn his heroic proletarians and peasants into class enemies, deviationists and kulaks as preparation for extermination.
The signs are there. Every school and college preaches incessantly that Whites are inherently evil and the world would be better off without them.
Why do you think the Tutsi faction in Rwanda spent a couple years whipping up hatred against the Hutu faction before the massacres? It takes time to convince a people in this case the Tutsis that their neighbors are monstrous villains that need to be slaughtered.
The media hides black and Hispanic crime and goes insane over White criminals or suspects who are not criminals such as the men in the Duke U. rape case. Apropos, at the same time the media and the professors were whipping up a lynch mob against the Duke rape accused, there were several black on White rapes at the university and in the town that were totally covered up and often not even reported in the news.
The feminazis of Duke naturally claimed that the black rapists were totally innocent.
There are numerous indications of our government’s plans for us.
For instance out of control government sanctioned black on White crime. Before the Nazis took over Germany, Nazi Party members often assaulted and abused Jews. This was totally dismissed as the work of common street criminals and thugs.
Our government, media and even religious establishments dismiss out of control black on White crime as common street crime and never, never racially motivated, just as the Nazis who sent their thugs out on the streets to abuse Jews claimed it was just common street crime, drunk young men being drunk young men, etc.
That HQ is why our Judges, instigated by the anti White racist non profits worth billions of dollars with cold war Russia behind it all, created the Hispainic race as a separate class entitled to all sorts of aristocratic privileges denied to Whites.
You might wonder why with the cold war ended the anti White program continues. There are various reasons, mostly that people have to make a living and there are literally millions of people with billions of dollars in government, academia, education, the media and even religion who make a living out of anti White activism.
All anti White activism is funded first and foremost by government, then education including the public schools from kindergarten to PhD level and the billions of dollars diverted from taxes to tax deductible non profits such as SPLC and ADL which have about 2 billion dollars they can use for the anti-White program.
Change your children’s surnames to a Spanish one before they start high school. They will get admitted to the best colleges, get straight As if they just go to class a few times a semester and be bombarded with job offers starting their junior year.
Upon graduation they will be guaranteed all the privileges of their aristocratic class, an easy job from which they can never be fired, regular promotions, low cost mortgages and no down payment for their homes and a variety of other special privileges.
Your White grandchildren without Spanish last names will probably end up homeless eating of garbage cans because of course, unemployed destitute Whites will be denied any sort of welfare or govt. housing.The girls might get work as prostitutes until they are 40.
Even now, Whites are de facto banned from cheap govt. housing.
Even now, Whites are de facto denied disability because they are White.
Soon food stamps and all the other welfare benefits will be denied us. We have been denied employment for 45 years, what makes anyone think that denial of welfare is far behind?
Our government, the richest people on the planet, the educational establishment and the media want us dead and gone.
Everything is going to plan.
40 — Margaret wrote at 8:12 PM on July 20:  Here is a good example of how Whites are vilified and set up for extermination on the grounds that we have committed every evil ever done on earth and deserve execution.
The sponsors are a consortium of government funded educational groups and non profit. The educators are not professors. They are the cadres who run the various hate Whitey University organizations.
It is the kind of hatred John Calvin preached against Protestants not of his sect after he took over Geneva Switzerland and began burning those Protestants he deemed heretics. Among those he burned to death was the one and only Protestant Bishop in Spain who came to Geneva for a Protestant theology conference and got on the wrong side of Calvin.
Since humans gained the ability to speak, this kind of propaganda has been used against those for whom extermination is intended. It’s whipping up a lynch mob on a national level.

Black Privilege

One of my friends voluntarily attended an event recently, one that I wouldn’t go to for a million bucks (well, maybe a million bucks). It was called Erasing White Privilege.
My friend, whom I’ll call Andrea, sat in a room with other whites on one side, and people of color on the other. Then the whites sheepishly confessed any real or imagined offenses perpetuated against a person of color.
After the whites tried to atone for their guilt, the people of color got involved: yelling at them, preaching, and discharging much rage. Andrea’s rendition of the events reminded me of those anger fests that were popular in the ’70s.
Back then, people would pay to be in encounter groups, where they’d holler and smack each other with foam bats. The idea was that by releasing anger, everyone would feel better.
But guess what the research eventually found? By raging at another person (whether he deserves it or not), our anger doesn’t dissipate; it grows. And the deleterious effects are not just emotional. Blood pressure rises and muscle tension increases, promoting hypertension and musculoskeletal pain.
But the studies don’t matter; these days it’s all about white guilt and minority rage. And the endgame isn’t reconciliation and racial healing. We’re living in a creepy age where revenge is the order of the day, where the left wants to seize power under the lofty guise of justice.
Personally, I have never had a moment of white guilt in my life. Now this is a significant statement given that I am Jewish and from New York. I feel guilty about pretty much everything!
But I feel guilty about what I do — or don’t do. If I inadvertently hurt a friend’s feelings, if I am ill-mannered to a clerk, if I disappoint my husband, I can find myself drowning in a sea of guilt and shame.
But guilt because of the color of my skin? Guilt because some white person in 1960s Selma, Alabama refused to allow a black person into his restaurant? Guilt because while my relatives were being raped and pillaged in Russia, a small minority of white people owned slaves (as did, by the way, some free slaves)? I might as well feel guilty about the train wreck that is Casey Anthony simply because she and I share the same race, gender, and sexual orientation.
The idea of collective guilt is not just absurd; it’s evil. It’s saying that all Jews were bad because some may have committed some injustice in Germany, circa 1940. It’s saying that all Israelis are responsible if someone injures a Palestinian. Or that all whites are culpable for the actions of others 50 or 150 years ago. Collective guilt is a notion that is so laser-focused on race, it is actually racist.
It’s also anti-God because no legitimate religion preaches culpability based on race or gender. According to Hinduism and Buddhism, we each reap what we sow karmically. Christians and Jews believe in individual accountability for sins on Judgment Day.
Of course, many religions have twisted things around, with liberal churches and synagogues promoting the notion of white guilt. There’s a reason for this: it’s safer to hide behind the behavior of an entire race than stand naked before God. I sure wouldn’t want to be Bill Ayers or Bernadine Dohrn the day they arrive at the Pearly Gates (if they make it there at all).
It’s so much easier to merge with the crowd, to assume that God will be placated by über-recycling. How sobering to realize that we will one day be judged by our character and our faith — not whether we voted for Obama.
But if this age is all about guilt and confession, I have a burning question. Why isn’t everyone required to confess their political sins? If I’m supposed to sit in a room, and tearfully confess, Oprah-style, about every judgmental thought I’ve ever had, why aren’t people of color required to do the same?
Frankly, I wouldn’t mind an apology from the black kids in middle school who taunted and threatened me because of the color of my skin. I’d like a big “I’m sorry” from the gangs of black girls in high school who, enraged by forced busing, mowed me down in the hallway. And for when I went to the Arab Market in Israel as a teenager and seven different Arab men, in seven separate incidents, grabbed my private parts, I’m more than ready to hear an apology.
And I’m also waiting with bated breath for apologies from the following: the black dude in pre-Giuliani Manhattan who fondled me in a similar way; the black man in Berkeley who mugged me, leaving me with a black eye and broken nose to die (I didn’t) in the middle of the street; and the countless black men in Berkeley who have called me a “f___g white b___” when I didn’t give them spare change.
But I don’t want an apology because of white privilege or black privilege, or any such nonsense — but because it is wrong to molest, mug, or otherwise violate another human being — no exceptions! This has nothing to do with race but everything to do with about human decency and consideration.
But in Obama’s America, there’s little human decency to be found. The rules have changed, and they consist of the new three Rs: rage, revenge, and reparations. And this malignant game of Blaming Whitey will go on and on until we call it what it is (hate), walk away from the table, and refuse to play.

Taking that first step – breaking the ice

My car broke down yesterday.  It happened without warning and I was stranded by the side of the highway for some time until the tow truck showed up.  When I got it back home, I contacted a random mobile mechanic from Craigslist.  Needless to say, this was not among the more pleasant, or cheap, days of my life.  What should have been a fine Summer day, frolicking in the sunshine, turned out to be an expensive day full of bad news.
The mechanic showed up and struggled with my car for a couple of hours.  We chatted and we took his truck to a parts store.  He mentioned he didn’t own a television and that he does a lot of reading.  On a hunch, I told him that television is full of anti-white propaganda.  I was right; the man was racially aware and, with any luck, a new friendship was forged.   To said mechanic:  If you’re reading this blog, as I suggested, feel free to chime in with a comment.
What if he wasn’t racially aware?  Then there might have been an awkward moment and I would do my best to explain myself.  Then we would probably have changed the subject.  Either way my car was toast*.
The moral of the story is:   Don’t be overly cautious in hiding your racial opinions unless you’re at work or a professional function where a careless comment could land you in hot water.  Mere awkwardness is not a valid excuse for silence.  Pro-white people need to find each other and we cannot do so if the thought of speaking our minds makes us tremble with fear.
* I bought a “new” one today; I was just finishing paying off the old one.

Insulting Muslims for fun

Amren recently linked to a story about a Canadian journalist who was punched by a Muslim woman for (allegedly) taking her photo in public.  I quote:

A Canadian journalist was ‘punched in the face’ by a Muslim woman after accidentally taking her picture in a public square.
Writing in his column, David Menzies said he was with his nine year old son in Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square testing out a new digital camera when a woman in a hijab approached him shouting that he could not take a picture of her.
The popular car columnist then says he was punched in the head by the woman and surrounded by a group of people shouting Arabic at him. A police officer then refused to press charges.
Relaying the incident in the Toronto Sun, Mr Menzies said: ‘Suddenly, a woman wearing a hijab ran toward me.
‘She was part of a group that included two women wearing full face-covering burkas. She was screaming: ‘We are Muslim! You do not take pictures of us!’ (Odd. I can’t find the “no photos” rule in the Qur’an.)
‘I informed the lady I was in a public square in a democracy. I can actually take pictures of whomever I please.
‘And then: Ka-pow! Her fist collided with my face. Worse, she almost knocked my new camera from my hands.
‘My son and I were then surrounded by a mob of about 20 people, many of whom were speaking Arabic.

The officer at the scene refused to file charges against the woman.  It occurred to me that people who are easily offended are only asking to be offended more.  We should photograph Muslims, as they go about their business in public, and then post those photos online.  By doing so, not only would we have the satisfaction of knowing that we are causing anguish to the Muslims who would assault us for exercising our freedoms, but by doing so, we would be protecting those very freedoms.
To the Muslim woman’s statement, “You do not take pictures of us!”, I reply that I ordinarily would not be inclined to photograph Muslims – but, since you put it that way, I certainly shall take your picture!  Not all Muslims feel this way about photography; while in Brunei and Egypt, nobody hassled me about taking their photos.  In fact, many people even appreciated it and smiled for the camera.  But we can always hope that the lunatics, of the sort that attacked Mr. Menzies, will see the online photos and be enraged.  Then it would be worth the effort.

James Keys: "Social construct impacts organ transplant success rate"

The Afrocentric weekly, USA Today, recently published a column by James Keys.  Keys writes:

Unfortunately, others who need transplants, especially minorities, experience a different reality. About 20 people in the USA die each day waiting for transplants. This fact is particularly significant for minorities because they suffer more frequently than whites from diseases of the kidney, heart, lung, pancreas and liver that can lead to organ failure. For instance, according to the Department of Health and Human Services:
•Native Americans are four times more likely than whites to suffer from diabetes.
•Blacks and Asian and Pacific Islanders are three times more likely than whites to suffer from kidney disease.
•Minority communities don’t donate enough organs to keep up with the needs of these communities. Blacks, for instance, are 13% of the population but only 12% of donors. Yet nearly a quarter of the people on the kidney waiting list are black.
The entire U.S. population would benefit, of course, from greater donor participation. And though race isn’t a determining factor in who receives what transplant when, transplants within the same race can improve the chances of success.

If Keys, and USA Today, want to increase the number of black organ donors, they would do well to ask themselves why black donations do not match black need.  One person who asks this question, and gives a dubious answer, is Vivian Nereim, in quoting Dr. Clive Callender, in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.  She writes:

Dr. Callender founded the National Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP) after he and a team of psychologists researched the reluctance to donate organs in black communities.
“We were first made aware of this problem in 1978,” he said. At the time, about 70 percent of those waiting for organs in the southern United States were black, but far less than 10 percent of donors were, he said.
His team identified several reasons why African Americans were less likely to donate organs. The first was a lack of information: “Nobody was taking the time to ask the community and educate them,” he said.
Some people were also wary because of religious misconceptions.
“People will say, ‘You don’t have your kidneys, you won’t get your wings,’ ” he explained.
In addition, Dr. Callender found that many people did not want to donate organs because they distrusted health care providers.
Dr. McCauley said some African Americans still harbor distrust, remembering injustices like the Tuskegee experiment, a 40-year study during which researchers withheld treatment for syphilis from a group of poor black men.

It might come as no surprise to learn that the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, being an organ of racial orthodoxy, conveniently left out one of the reasons that Dr. Callender (a black man himself) lists.  In “The Black House“, we find the missing reason.  Reason #5:

The fifth obstacle has to do with racism – the fear that if I leave my organs behind as a Black person, they’re only going to go to White people. That isn’t the case and we need to overcome that because at Howard University, when I started the program in the 70s, 80% of the organs we got for our Black patients were from Whites. Now, 70% of the organs that we get for our Black patients are from Blacks.

Is Dr. Callender condemning racism in the black community?  Let’s not be silly!  All he’s saying is that the organs donated by blacks are very likely to end up in other blacks – so there is little to fear!  Yes, he calls it “racism”, but he gives no indication that his loyalties lie anywhere other than with his own race.  A case in point:  He founded the “National Minority Organ/Tissue Transplant Education Program (MOTTEP) in 1991 “to increase awareness and encourage more Blacks to become donors”.   There is, of course, nothing wrong with that – but any white person who shows similar loyalties, and concern, for his own race would not be quoted (respectfully) in The Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
The way I see it, the organ-donation establishment has three possible solutions to this problem:  They can work to decrease anti-white racism among blacks, they can convince blacks to lead more healthy lifestyles, or they can allow people to specify the race (or religion, gender etc.) of potential recipients.  All three would be worthy goals for people such as Dr. Callender to pursue.  Regarding the last one, if we own our bodies to the extent where our permission is required to harvest organs from them, then it is also reasonable to demand that we have some say in who receives them.

Lack of discrimination = cruelty and injustice

Human Stupidity brought this to my attention:

Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty agreed Tuesday his officers made mistakes Saturday when they rounded up about 20 teenagers on curfew violations in front of the Harkins Bricktown Cinema and hauled them away in what one parent described as a “paddy wagon.”
Several parents complained about the curfew sweep at Tuesday’s Oklahoma City Council meeting. Parents said officers arrested the teens at least 20 minutes before the 11 p.m. curfew began.
Some of the children arrested were waiting for rides after attending a movie, which is allowed under the city’s curfew statute. Others were accompanied to the theater by adults but arrested anyway while their parents retrieved their vehicles.
Peggy Hammons‘ daughter, Kelsea, and her friend, Brittney Campbell, both 15, attended an 8:20 p.m. showing of “Transformers” at Harkins with Brittney’s mother. The movie let out just before 11, and the two teens waited in front of the theater while Brittney‘s mom got the car.
“A female police officer approached them, instructed them to hand over their cellphones and get over and get in that paddy wagon,” Peggy Hammons said. “My daughter and her friend were never once asked, ‘Were you there to see the movie and do you have a ticket?’ They tried to explain to the police officers, and they were told to shut up and be quiet.”
Valenthia Doolin, of Oklahoma City, said she arrived to pick up her kids at 10:40 p.m. and found a line of police cars and vans. Her children were not answering their cellphones. Panicked, she parked and walked to the theater but could not find her kids.
She eventually received a text message from her son saying they had been picked up on a curfew violation.
Doolin said officers refused to listen when they pointed out their mom’s car and said their ride was there minutes before the curfew began.
“We felt violated, harassed and frightened at the hands of Oklahoma City law enforcement,” Doolin said. “Something has to be done to ensure that it never happens again.”
Citty said officers conducted the sweep because of an increase in assaults and other complaints involving juveniles in Bricktown after hours. He said at least two of the citations issued Saturday have been dismissed because they shouldn’t have been issued to begin with. Others could also be thrown out…
‘Called kids liars’
Parents complained they were treated unprofessionally by staff at the center and had to wait six hours or more to get their kids back.
“The C.I.C. staff used profanity, harsh language and called kids liars when they weren’t given the information they wanted to hear,” Peggy Hammons said. “My husband and I arrived at the C.I.C. before midnight. I could hear my daughter and her friend just in the other room bawling.”
Kelsea Hammons said she and Brittney held hands in a holding cell because they were scared but were told by staff to separate because they were publicly displaying affection…

One of the comments there states:

If I remember the story correct the home owners in the neighborhood say that there is a greenbelt behind their houses and this fills up with kids as the night wears on, should this be a focus of a curfew roundup?  Yes!  Does this indicate that this is a minor issue in our city? No, more than minor!  Last night Chief Citty said that when there is a crowd, especially kids, it leads to trouble.  we need enforcement of the curfew hrs. just not kids that are waiting on their parents to pick them up from the movies

Somehow I doubt that the kids who cause trouble are white – yet it is white kids who are victimized by this police misconduct.  It’s not that white kids don’t get into trouble, but there are different general behavior patterns for the different races.  To treat them all the same is cruel.  It’s cruel to white kids who must now endure the heavy hand of the law, and it’s cruel to crime victims whose concerns are not being dealt with effectively.  Law enforcement should be allowed, even encouraged, to discriminate based on gender, age and race.  The one size fits all approach is cruel, foolish and ineffective.
I wonder if the cops who perpetrated this injustice are black.  Either way, we should be asking some hard questions, such as “was Jim Crow really that bad?”.  Looking through the comments on the above article, there is a lot of concern about civil rights violations and abuse by police.  It is painfully obvious that racial integration and civil rights do not go well together.  We can have either racial integration or a free, civil, society but not both.
